  1. Ind 245-4published at 34 overs

    Kohli 113, Jadhav 93

No side have ever chased a score of 350 in less than 49 overs in ODI history.

Virat Kohli could be leading India to that record right here.

Kedar Jadhav's role is not to be understated either - he moves into the 90s with a leg glance for four off a ragged Chris Woakes.

This was just a strong bottom arm - he stood there and rose with the ball.

    Target 351

Oh my word. It's just a short-arm jab from Kohli and it's sailed into the crowd.

A break is a time when teams can regroup. It was a long drinks break and Morgan would have got his players together and said "look, they still need 120 - all we need is one wicket".

Ok, Ben Stokes, what have you got?

Plenty of fight, as you'd expect, but plenty of accuracy here too. Only three from the over.

    Breathe.

Chris: Kohli again proving he's twice the player Root is. Consistently turns half centuries to centuries. England's bowling woeful; India to win at a canter.

It's been an absolutely incredible innings. The way he's held the innings together... he's been running the ones and twos hard and finding the gaps. For his hundred, he ventured down the pitch and what a six it was.

  8. drinks break

    Ind 229-4 (target 351)published at 14:37 Greenwich Mean Time 15 January 2017

    Kohli 105, Jadhav 86

Some truly remarkable stats in this Virat Kohli century - his 27th in ODIs.

It's also his 17th ton when batting second, which ties the record of one Sachin Tendulkar.

However, Kohli has done that in 96 innings when chasing. It took the Little Master 232.

Ridiculous. He's rewarded for his feats with a drinks break.

CENTURY FOR KOHLIpublished at 32 overs

    Ind 229-4

Eoin Morgan heeds Sunil Gavaskar's advice as Chris Woakes is called upon.

After exchanging a couple of singles, Kohli is on strike on 99...ooh, a dot ball...ooh, another...sheesh, he then runs halfway down but Jadhav has the courage to send him back.

But then what a way to bring your 27th ODI century up - a magnificent six down the ground.

    Stunning.

England have to go back to a Ben Stokes or a Chris Woakes because the runs have been coming too easily.

  11. 6 runs

    Ind 221-4published at 31 overs

    Partnership 158 off 117 balls

    Carnage. Total carnage.

Adil Rashid re-enters the fray, Kohli happy to take a single but then Jadhav goes to town.

First, rocking back to clear the legside infield for four, then thrashing it over cover for six.

Jadhav has taken a load off Virat Kohli. At the start of the match he had the best strike-rate in the Indian line-up. There really isn't much batting left so it's very important for this pair to take it to 300.

  13. Ind 208-4published at 30 overs

    Kohli 97, Jadhav 73

Tidy from Willey but India are able to work a couple of singles to bring up the 200 inside 30 overs.

A reminder that they were 63-4 at one stage. Quite the counter-attack.

Virat Kohli then proves himself different gravy once again - short from Willey, Kohli's ready for it, lifting the ball up through third man for four.

A scampered two. A quick single. A nervy England.

Loose delivery, down the leg-side. Too easy. You can't bowl that to Virat Kohli at any stage of his innings because he'll put it away.

  15. Ind 198-4published at 29 overs

    Kohli 89, Jadhav 71

England are just gifting India a boundary every now and then and it's really harming the tourists.

The latest culprit is Moeen Ali, pushing one down leg that Kohli can just glance fine for four.

Ten from the over as this pair keep things ticking along.

Very much the same feel as the Test matches. Seems like we have a decent score, then India play out the bowlers like they're an over-75 side.

    Adam

Eoin Morgan always seems to bring on the spinners very late. First ten overs there should be at least two overs bowled by spinners so they can get into some sort of rhythm.

    Need 163 runs to win

David Willey tries to take the pace off the ball but he's strayed wide and Virat Kohli doesn't miss out - flashing it through point for four.

Jadhav gets another earful for turning down a run. Then again Kohli thinks every single is on and Jadhav isn't up to his captain's athleticism.

You sense Morgan kept Root and Moeen on as long as he could before India decided to attack.

  19. Ind 181-4published at 27 overs

    Kohli 77, Jadhav 66

Moeen Ali continues, it's an excellent first five balls but spoiled by the last - Jadhav stepping away to lift it over cover, just bouncing inside the boundary rope.

David Willey about to return to the attack...England need a breakthrough.

Jeremy: So Rashid continues where left off in the tests ... boundaries and long hops .. we can't afford to be draining runs at this rate.

Steve: I spoke too soon, India cruising now unless a couple of wickets fall soon.

Ed: When England turn to Root to get a wicket you know it's a lost cause. India to win inside 45 overs.
