Thanks, Steph. I'll take that as a compliment. The players should be back out in about five minutes or so. We should be in for fun and fireworks.

Right, I'm out of here. Alan Jewell, the nicest scouser I know, is in the hotseat.

England have changed their approach since the World Cup. The difference in the run-rate is about a run an over better. It's a mindset thing and it's about power more than anything. In the past the mindset was more about percentages. Now it's about attacking.

Chris Harvey: Can all these people saying 350 not enough tell me if I find my keys while they're viewing the future. If not I'll stop looking

MS Dhoni could be dangerous for India up the order, batting a number four. It's nice to see him freed up for his final years in this team.
Old habits die hard though and you could see him in that innings still asking fielders to move about but maybe he had the ok from Virat Kohli.

Ruth: Good total by England, should be a thrilling game if Kohli & Dhoni on form, great way to spend a rainy Sunday afternoon.
Jonathan: I like that nearly all of our batsmen can hit sixes. India will need a special ton by Kohli to win this I'm thinking.

During the interval, Test Match Special is looking at England's recent history in ODIs in India. It's not a pretty record, but that may be about to change...

India have depth in their batting too though and if you see Virat Kohli or MS Dhoni or even Yuvraj Singh get going then the crowd will be right behind them.
Imagine seeing 700 runs in one day? Fantastic.

John: This fake news getting out of hand now. Just been reported that England scored 350 for 7 in first ODI. Unbelievable.
Jack: Good first innings from England played the spin well considering what happened in the test matches. India 351 to win..
I'll keep the stats coming. If England lose this match, it will comfortably be the biggest total they have failed to defend in an ODI. Previous best chase against England is Australia knocking off 333 at Sydney in 2011.
England batsman Jason Roy speaking to Sky Sports: "I enjoyed my innings. I am really happy with the boys too though, 350 is a strong total.
"I wanted to enjoy the atmosphere and the crowd.
"I tried to stay nice and aggressive but I got undone by a ball I should have got something behind, hopefully next time I will do better.
"We have a huge 50 overs of graft to come. The job is only half-done."

I think that's slightly above par, you normally see about 320 on this pitch and England have done really well to get to 350.
I'm not saying India won't be able to chase it but runs on the board always makes the other team play against the pressure of the asking rate.
Trying to maintain seven runs an over can lead to wickets.
If India are to win this, they will have to equal their second-best runchase in an ODI. History is on England's side here.

Josh: Even if around 350 is only par, England have momentum.
Ricky: Positive attitude batting from everyone. Good to watch.
That 350-7, by the way, is England's ninth highest ODI total of all time. Seven of them have come since the 2015 World Cup.

With the batting India have we could be in for a thriling finish.
England have entertained - Jason Roy and Joe Root at the start, Eoin Morgan had a lovely cameo and Jos Buttler chipped in before Ben Stokes hit powerfully along with Moeen Ali.
We are in for a cracker.
Swing and miss, run through for a bye. England have taken 105 off the last eight overs. They will be the happier team. India are rag-tag as they leave the field, Virat Kohli a man who looks set to dish out the hairdryer treatment.
Oooh, Willey might think he's missed out there. Full toss, only two to mid-wicket. Better fielding might have had Willey in trouble coming back for two. Last ball...
Woakes swinging, but can't get hold of it. One to mid-wicket.
Well bowled. Yorker. Wide. Single to short third man.
