How are you doing this morning? Where are you? Let me know. I was delighted not to have to defrost the car - the balmy north. Jadeja is done, 2-62 off his 10, so Ashwin is recalled, treated to a powerful sweep for four by Bairstow.

This is a key little spell. At the moment you are only allowed four back but soon they can pout back five. With Buttler in, England can't hold back as there are a lot of scoring options ahead of the 40th over.

Hardik Pandya, not a man you'd associate with gas, is bowling with some wheels here. A bumper gives Jos Buttler the hurry up, almost giving the England keeper a hair cut. The brakes have been applied - only 10 off the last three for England.

I spoke to Ravi Ashwin and he was saying he thinks Jonny Bairstow is a top-class Test player but he is not so bothered about Jos Buttler. He does, though, recognise that he is very dangerous in this format.

India recall Jadeja, looking to make further inroads after the fall of Morgan. The sky is cloudless blue but the shadows are just beginning to creep across the ground. Turn from Jadeja, one taking the shoulder of Bairstow's bat, another edged past slip by Buttler.

It probably won't be easy on this pitch to double your score from here. There is still something in it for the bowlers, even if you can't see it from the score. The dew factor will come into account. That might even help the bowlers, with the skid.

    Pandya 5-1-30-1

The players took drinks at the fall of the wicket. Jos Buttler, yet to fire in this series, is the new man, immediately beaten by one that nips and bounces. There's still a bit in this surface. England should be pleased about that.

If he had hit it either side of the fielder he would have had a boundary. But maybe this sets it up nicely. Stokes and Buttler can build on this and set the momentum further. They can step on the accelerator.

What a way to go. Eoin Morgan could have hit this anywhere, but has instead fallen on his sword. It's short, on the hips from Hardik Pandya and somehow Morgan has clipped it straight to the man behind square on the leg side. Big, big wicket for India, just as England were beginning to motor.

There's some biffing going on here now. Spectators should keep an eye on the action or they might take one to the swede. An awful long-hop from Ashwin is heaved over the cow corner fence by Morgan, who is channeling the spirit of his second ODI 80-ball ton. England sights are looking higher than 320 at the moment.

Incredible scenes on the live text desk. Phil Dawkes has just stated that he's not a fan of Gary Barlow. We both agree that Mr Barlow is a fine looking chap, though. Personally, I think that Sir Songs is a national treasure. Less importantly, Eoin Morgan has just launched Ravi Jadeja for a straight six to the top of the stands.

  14. Eng 172-2published at 31 overs

India know which side their bread is buttered. After seeing Bumrah bowl a bag of nails, Kohli returns to the dependable spin of Ravi Ashwin. Round the wicket to left-hander Morgan, who skips to meet one on the full and jab it down the ground for four.

Francis Edwards: England need to decide in ODIs what they want Stokes to do. Can't be consistent batting and still bowl 10 overs well.

  16. Eng 164-2published at 30 overs

Still Jadeja, a man who has been as miserly as a Dickens character. Only five from the over. England looking at about 320-330 here. Really putting the foot down would get them to 350.

I’m in India at present, following the ODI series on the BBC website. It’d be great to witness the action first hand whilst I’m here. Does anybody know how to obtain tickets for the 3rd T20 game at Bangalore? I can’t seem to find anything online anywhere.

It was a bang average shot from Bairstow. Somehow he patted a long-hop straight into the hands of Ravi Ashwin. What an awful free-hit delivery from Bumrah, Morgan helps a full toss into the stands. Instead of getting a wicket, Bumrah has been hit for six. It's like persuading Jennifer Aniston to go on a date with you, only for her to stand you up.

Oh, Jonny Bairstow. How's your luck? A short ball guided straight to third man, only for replays to show it was a no-ball. This is an excellent exercise in how to send a delirious cricket crowd silent. Virat Kohli looks like he could swing for Jasprit Bumrah.
