India will feel that they are back in the game. They will need to bowl better because this is a good pitch to bat on.

  3. Eng 110-2published at 20 overs

England's captain is in. He scored a classy century in the last game. Just do that again Eoin. Yeah? Excellent.

Roy hasn't moved his back foot at all. He was attempting a cut and left his stumps exposed. That's hit middle stump. He was expecting turn and the ball didn't move, it was the arm ball. If you miss it, you will be bowled.

    Roy b Jadeja 65 (Eng 110-1)

Oh Jase. He's been done again after passing 50. It is quite a familiar dismissal as the England opener rocks back but fails to make contact as Jadeja's delivery skips on and bowls him. In all three ODI matches, the India spinner has done for Roy. Having opened England up, India are driving in the knife.

Jason Roy has made contributions in the last couple of games, but they haven't been as substantial as he'd like them to be. Now is his chance to change that,

  7. Eng 109-1published at 19 overs

England will take those. Jason Roy tries to whack new bowler Ravi Ashwin down the ground but catches a fine edge that sends the ball skipping down to the rope at fine third man.

The modern-day batsman needs to play shots like the reverse-sweep. Shots like that one and the switch-hit bring a new dimension to the game and progress it. I marvel at some of the shots which are played.

  9. Eng 102-1published at 18 overs

Billings let out an almighty scream as he walked off after being dismissed. It was guttural and aimed entirely at himself. In comes England's other fresh face, Jonny Bairstow. He is off the mark straight away with a single that brings up England's 100.

Billings is livid with himself. A couple of inches higher and he would have cleared the man and scored a boundary.

    Billings c Bumrah b Jadeja 35 (Eng 98-1)

Drinks have done for Billings. Two balls after some hydration he reverse sweeps Jadeja straight to Bumrah at backward point. It wasn't a fluent innings by any means but he had dug in well to amass his 35.

It's been England's session. They've got a good scoring rate and have the chance to reach 350-380, or even 400. They need to keep wickets in hand though - that's how India got the extra 20 runs which won them the game in the second ODI in Cuttack.

    Roy 57, Billings 35

Looking good Jase, looking good. He spies a tiny shortness of length from Yuvraj and adjusts his stance to cut for four. Billings' uncomfortable innings continues as he dances down but clothes his shot.

Bowlers are reluctant to bowl the length that will exploit these conditions. They have to pitch the ball up, but if they get it wrong they will get whacked.

  15. Eng 91-0published at 16 overs

Roy works Jadeja around for another single, which when added to the six and a small contribution from Billings at the start of the over, makes it 11 from Jadeja's first.

That's a third consecutive half-century for Jason Roy. England will be hoping that he gets a big hundred this time.

Ravindra Jadeja makes it spin from both ends. Roy shows little respect, though, smashing the first six down the ground to bring up his 50.

Billings, allegedly, has the fastest hands in England cricket. His batspeed is 100mph.

  19. Eng 80-0published at 15 overs

Billings drops to one knee and sweeps Yuvraj for four. Advantage Sam. He tries to repeat the trick but is hit on the boot and just survives a big lbw shout. Deuce.
