(Roy 10, Billings 8)
The England lads are having to dig in to see off the moving ball, but as soon as there is a hint of leg side or poor length they are all over it. Roy finds his second boundary to a leg-stump delivery from Pandya before Billings gets in on the boundary action with a superb drive through extra-cover, followed by a nudge through the vacant mid-wicket.

It feels like Test cricket. The ball is hooping around and there are a lot of leaves. After the first couple of games the players are having to reset themselves.
That's more like it. Jason Roy quickly picks up on a slight lapse in line from Kumar, steps across his stumps and whips through mid-wicket for the first boundary. The bowler continues to give his three-man slip cordon plenty to get excited about.

It makes it more interesting when the bowlers are in the game, as they are here. All of a sudden, Sam Billings is moving about in his crease and that in turn presents a new challenge for the bowler.
Hardik Pandya picks up where his opening colleague left off - outside off, nipping it around, beating the bat. Sam Billings with a repeated swing and a miss. England yet to score a run off the bat. Actually, has willow made contact with ball yet?

The ground here is one of the great sights in world cricket, up there with the MCG.
A very good start from the home side. Kumar gets the ball talking, moving away and curving back in to Jason Roy, who is also beaten by bounce with one ball that nips high and past his flashing drive. Four balls in, captain Kohli whips in a third slip. An off-side wide gets England off the mark.
The Indian team have spread in the field, Jason Roy and Sam Billings are at the crease, Bhuvneshwar Kumar has the ball in his hand and the crowd are already making plenty of noise. Here we go...
England: Roy, Billings, Bairstow, Morgan, Stokes, Buttler, Moeen, Woakes, Plunkett, Willey, Ball.
India: Rahane, Rahul, Kohli, Yuvraj, Dhoni, Jadhav, Pandya, Jadeja, Ashwin, Bumrah, Kumar.
OK, I'm not going to lie to you, the stats don't make for very pleasant reading if you are an England fan...

This is India's last game before the Champions Trophy so they'll want to get something from it. The key thing for India is whether Rahane can do it at the top of the order, so that's why he's come in for Dhawan today.

The Mighty Mojo: Liverpool get beat, Andy Murray gets knocked out of the Australian Open........ should I even bother watching England?
Well, Jonny Bairstow has his pads on. That would seem to suggest he is going to bat number three.

Many people will think Sam Billings is better suited to coming in lower down the order because he's very good against spin, but this is the perfect opportunity for him to show what he's all about.
England may have lost both games of this series so far but they have pushed India close. Three wickets and 15 runs respectively have been the winning margins for the home side. In both, England have scored at least 350 runs.
In each encounter, though, there have been identifiable aspects, moments, performances that the tourists can identify as being the flaw. This may be a much-improved England ODI side, but it remains a work in progress.

Hlc1221: So with Root out, we have one spinning option in India. I'm not sure Bayliss knows what he is doing.

England captain Eoin Morgan: "It is probably the most grass I have seen on a Kolkata wicket. The first two games haven't gone our way but we have been competitive. We need a win. Our bowlers haven't quite hit their straps. We haven't played our complete game yet. Hopefully we can put that together today.
"Scoring 350 as a side in the first two games puts the batting unit in a good place.
"We have two injuries. Alex Hales has gone home and Joe Root has a niggle so Sam Billings and Jonny Bairstow come in."
