  • India win series 2-1

  1. Ind 275-5published at 45 overs

47 runs required off 30 balls

11 runs off that over. India are in pole position now.

  2. Ind 273-5published at 44.4 overs

Three singles make this a 100 partnership. It could well be a match-winning one.

  3. 50 runs

50 for Pandyapublished at 44.1 overs

    Ind 270-5

The crowd are on their feet. Plunkett drops short and Pandya pulls him for six to move to 50 - his first in ODIs.

  4. Ind 264-5published at 44 overs

58 runs required off 36 balls

After conceding a four first ball, this ends up being a decent over from Jake Ball. Just three more runs off the remaining balls, including a wide.

There is a lot of luck going India's way at the moment, fortune favouring the brave. Pandya's pretty lucky to still be there, he's basically just slogging.  I feel there's a ball here that could be the wicket England need.

  6. Not outpublished at 43.2 overs

    Ind 262-5

It is off Pandya's shoulder. Not out. What it does show is that this pitch still has plenty in it.

  7. Umpire reviewpublished at 43.2 overs

    Ind 262-5

If there is one area you don't bowl to Jadhav it is short and heading down leg. The little Indian batsman is on Jake Ball's delivery in a flash to pull for four more.

The next ball prompts a review as Ball gets one to dart of a length and catch something en route to Buttler.

In Kedar Jadhav's mind he's thinking I need to see the side home, I need to see them over the line. For England it's the ultimate test, they need to get the breakthrough.

  10. Ind 257-5published at 43 overs

65 runs required off 42 balls

The assault continues as Plunkett drops short and Yadhav smacks it away for four on the pull. Pandya then rides his luck with an outside edge for a one-bounce four. This is starting to look more and more like India's game.

If the series finishes 2-1, it would be a fair reflection of the cricket which has been played. There's not been much between the teams, certainly not a 3-0 scoreline.

  12. Ind 246-5published at 42 overs

76 runs required from 48 balls

India win this over. Pandya is giving it everything at any ball near his arc outside off. He smashes one along the turf for four, making it 10 from the over. Are England going to turn a potential victory into a defeat again?

  13. 50 runs

50 for Jadhavpublished at 41.2 overs

    Ind 239-5

Stokes is less effective than Plunkett. Jadhav chips one down the ground to beat Jason Roy and add four that takes him past 50.

Of all the England bowlers, I think David Willey impressed me the most today. He only bowled a couple of overs but he could have caused India a lot of problems if he'd stayed on the field.

  15. Ind 234-5published at 41 overs

88 runs required off 54 balls

Plunkett returns to kick-off the final 10 overs and does a superb job. Five singles is a big win for the tourists.

When I was working at the Big Bash, Damien Fleming picked the best fielders in the world and three of the four were English: Chris Jordan, Sam Billings and Jason Roy.

  17. Ind 229-5published at 40 overs

93 runs required from 60 balls

Risk and reward. The crowd are woken up as Pandya swings big and somehow gets the ball up and over the rope at third man for six. The home side take another big risk with a quick single that would have resulted in a run out had the diving Moeen hit with his throw.

  18. Ind 218-5published at 39 overs

104 runs required off 66 balls

Successive boundaries at the end of Woakes' over as Jadhav responds to the growing pressure. The first he manages to send aerially over mid-off, the second is a flick off his legs. India needed that.

Throughout this innings, there have been periods where India have been on top but you also always feel that England can take a wicket given the nature of this pitch. That makes it a better game to watch.

  20. Ind 209-5published at 38 overs

113 runs required off 72 balls

England's seamers are doing a sterling job of stifling India's attempts to make serious inroads into the required runs. They are forced to operate in singles again.
