So there you have it - a convincing, 3-0 series whitewash for England to round off their winter.

They've got some time to return to their counties, or in the case of some players, head off to the IPL, before their series against Ireland in May.

England all-rounder Chris Woakes - the man of the series - is asked which part of his game he is most pleased with: "Ball, I suppose. It's always nice to contribute with the bat when required but bowling is my primary skill. The more you play and gain experience in international cricket, the more you feel at home. We've got some great players in the team and there are always players pushing for places."

Asked about the Champions Trophy, he adds: "We're in a good place. The conditions back home are going to be slightly different but this is a good win for us and we can take it into the summer."

England captain Eoin Morgan: "Extremely satisfied. Over the course of the series we have displayed different skills. Root and Hales put on an outstanding partnership and our bowling performance was outstanding. 

"It's a great position to be in. We had guys coming into the side who maybe didn't expect to play and made big contributions, match-winning ones. We have adapted to different conditions in this series. Outstanding effort from Alex Hales, a bit of time off has done him the world of good." 

Asked if he knows the 11 or 12 players who will form the side in the Champions Trophy, Morgan says: "11 or 12, absolutely not. We probably have 16 or 17 quality players to select from for the Champions Trophy."

And Eoin Morgan strolls off to celebrate with his side. He says it'll be tough to pick just 11 players for the Champions Trophy.

West Indies captain Jason Holder:  "Our performance wasn't up to scratch, we gifted a lot of free runs, although the bowlers were decent, and then we didn't put up a good fight with the bat at all. 

"I'm frustrated, I thought we were moving in the right direction. We've got to be lot sharper in the field and take our chances, we didn't do that throughout the series. 

"This group of players is what we have, I'm comfortable with what we have, we have a lot of talented players in the squad but it's about making the most of it."

And it's Chris Woakes who is named man of the series for his seven wickets and 81 runs in the series. He's got a batting average of 81.00 and a bowling average of 12.71. An excellent series for Woakes, who has shown just how vital he is to England's one day attack.

England man of the match Alex Hales in the post-match presentation: "Very emotional time, the last six months have been long and frustrating. To come back in my first match and get a hundred is a great feeling. After choosing not to go to Bangladesh, in India the injury came at a bad time for me. I was a little bit anxious but that's only natural. Our plan was to attack the spinners."

Asked by Ian Ward if it was his most important hundred for England, Hales replied: "Definitely."

The West Indies top order - Kraigg Brathwaite, Lewis, Powell - were all just swiping with very little foot movement. We've seen some class from Jonathan Carter, Jason Mohammed and Shai Hope but they're being exposed. I'd have loved to have seen Carter express himself, but he's having to come in three down with no runs on the board. As a West Indies fan I'd be very disappointed.

Jason Holder gets a nice round of applause from the crowd, but he's not happy with his side. He describes it as a frustrating performance and admits his side were poor in the field. "There's only one place we can go, and that's forward.

If we're being critical, England weren't able to punish West Indies at the end of their innings. They should have scored at least 15-20 more.

Alex Hales has been named man of the match for his commanding 110 on his return to international cricket. He describes it as "an emotional time."

I checked Buttler's last five ODIs and he hasn't got over 14. I don't think the questions are whether to replace him in the side, it's how do they get him back firing. Hales gave himself time today, which Buttler didn't. For me, it's about the coaches finding how to get Buttler back to his best. 

 Joe Root has now made centuries in ODI's in four successive calendar years. He's the second man to do so for England - Marcus Trescothick made centuries in six successive years.

Hales had to come back in. Players like him and Buttler instill fear into oppositions. He had a fabulous year last year. He took a little time today but once he stepped on the accelerator... 110 from 107 balls tells you all you need to know.

Remember this a side where Jonny Bairstow can't get a game, James Vince can't get a game, Ben Duckett can't get a game. The depth of batting that England possess shows you how solid a top order they are.

This is also England's first one-day series whitewash since 2012, when they beat Pakistan.

The days of Chris Gayle, Dwayne Bravo and those guys are gone, they are T20 cricketers. I would like to see Darren Bravo back into the middle order, working with those young players. It's all about getting better over a period of time. They need to look towards the next World Cup and try to win it.

That is England's fifth-largest winning margin in ODIs and the first time they have completed a one-day series whitewash over the West Indies since 1991. The home side, however, have now lost 12 of their last 13 ODIs against England, with seven of those defeats coming at home.

I think this West Indies team is inexperienced. They need to keep working hard and believing in their ability because the talent is there. Jason Holder needs to rally those young players. He is the captain and he needs to encourage them.
