    Breaking

    Come on down, James Anderson.

Windies captain Jason Holder wins the toss and elects to bat.

It looks a good pitch but they'll have to negotiate a tricky opening spell from a fired-up Anderson.

I don't know what those rings on the pitch are. They shouldn't affect the play. By Saturday they will probably be gone. What will the captain who wins the toss do? I would probably bowl.

It could also be a momentous occasion for James Anderson - who needs three more wickets to reach 500 in Tests and become just the sixth man in history to do so.

After his first innings exploits at Headingley, he looked on course to reach the milestone there but it wasn't to be.

I don't think he'd mind too much doing it at Lord's though...

  7. Bye bye Blowerspublished at 10:18 British Summer Time 7 September 2017

It's also a momentous occasion for the Test Match Special team - the final Test for legendary commentator Henry Blofeld.

Blowers steps away after 45 years at the mic. A decider at the home of cricket is a fitting way to bow out.

  8. Welcomepublished at 10:15 British Summer Time 7 September 2017

    It's been a long summer.

And sometimes it feels like the cricket has suffered for it, with one-sided Tests and tired performances.

The nadir came in that first Test between England and West Indies at Edgbaston. But then - then not just the Test of the summer but one of the greatest Tests of recent years.

A thrilling, perhaps coming-of-age showing by the tourists to chase down 322 and pull off a stunning victory at Headingley.

So here we are - the decider at Lord's.

It's been a long summer - but stay with us for one more Test. Hopefully it'll be another belter.
