Larwood looks like he's about to bowl a massive no-ball there.

Starting to think we are going to need a boat to get home. It's a trifle moist.

I've just seen someone choose Jos Buttler to bat at four. Bold.

I've always wondered who decides where the broadcasters/media sit in the commentary box at Lords? Which broadcasters get the best spots? Are there arguments etc?

Lots of Ashes teams coming in on #bbccricket., external Inevitably, we get some stick for players omitted from the list. Someone has asked why Rory Burns isn't in there? He is. Samit Patel another suggestion, which is perhaps a fair point.

I note that every one of England's XI have got a hundred at one time or another. Have we ever had that before? Talk about batting deep!

I'm told that there's a campaign to get a statue of James Anderson in Burnley. I had no idea that cricketing statues were this big of a deal.

Going back to the Dickie Bird statue, apparently Dickie courted controversy not too long ago by turning up to a Sheffield United match in a Blades tie. Some Barnsley fans wanted Dickie's statue removed from the town until he reaffirmed his 80-year love of the Tykes.

Remember, you can fill this rain break by playing with our shiny new Ashes squad selector.

Even Piers Morgan was tweeting about it last night. I still haven't seen anyone backing Tom Westley...

Obviously I've Googled that statue. What comes up? This.

The statue has to be raised five feet because people were leaving "objects" on its finger. Dickie even removed them himself.

Something I've learned today? There's a statue of Dickie Bird in Barnsley.

At Trent Bridge. Off to the sports shop in Bridgford with my son to buy kit for U10 winter nets. Could do with some indoor cricket now!

Did he manage to arrange the tournament on the same day? Cricketing gifts is a whole different road of travel too...

Jess Lewis: My dad forgot my 18th birthday and arranged a youth tournament! He gave me flowers and wine at the presentation to make up for it.

In the County Championship, my eyes are drawn to what's going on at Lord's, where a nipper is developing between Middlesex and Lancashire.

Lancs, 136-5, need another 84 to win. Remember, Haseeb Hameed retired hurt on 23 after being hit on the hand. Middlesex need a win to boost their survival hopes.

I also turned up slightly tipsy. My dad took me out all day on my 18th birthday before an evening game. I'm a keeper/batsman normally but the captain thought it would be a laugh for me to bowl the opening over. I don't remember much apart from the pavilion being cleared twice. I batted number 11 and got stumped out falling over.

It might be raining in Nottingham, but there's plenty of cricket going on elsewhere in the world.

We'll start by casting our eye abroad, where India are hosting Australia in the second one-day international.

India, 1-0 up, have been restricted to 252 all out. Virat Kohli made 92. At one point they were 121-1.

    Here's the scorecard.
