England captain Eoin Morgan: “We probably would have bowled, if there is anything in this wicket it would be this morning. It looks a really good batting wicket.

“We have gone with same team, the composure we showed in Manchester was exceptional and hopefully we can do it again. Consistency has been a bit of an issue for us over the last year or so.

“We’re adaptable, especially on this ground. If it’s a good wicket, changing the batting line-up does come into it. Same with the bowling, you have to be canny.

“I’ve been short on runs lately so today, and the next three games, are an opportunity to turn it around.”

Chris Gayle has a hamstring injury. It's his 38th birthday today. Is it a good thing not to play on your birthday? I can't decide.

England are unchanged. Kyle Hope has taken the place of Chris Gayle. The Windies have also omitted leg-spinner Devendra Bishoo in favour of swing bowler Miguel Cummins.

As he did at Old Trafford, Jason Holder calls correctly, but this time decides he wants to field first. He says there's some moisture to be exploited. Eoin Morgan says he would have bowled too.

The biggest news? Chris Gayle misses out with an injury. No Universe Boss.

There's rain knocking around, but it has not arrived in Nottingham. Yet.

That means we should get a prompt start. The skippers should be flicking the coin any minute now.

Yep, England avoided a Gayle Force on Tuesday, with Jonny Bairstow's century sealing a comfortable win in the first one-day international at Old Trafford.

Today, at Trent Bridge, Eoin Morgan's men have the chance to go 2-0 up in the five-match series.
