  1. WI 98-2published at 20 overs

    S Hope 17, Samuels 5

Marlon Samuels is looking out of sorts here, as Adil Rashid bowls a maiden to the West Indian. Samuels has five from 21 balls.

20 overs gone and the Windies are going at less than five an over. No real intensity about their game just yet.

Alan Low: Although I'm an England fan, the unplayable ball Dale Steyn bowled on test debut to Michael Vaughan in 2004 is my favourite.

Toby Pimlott: Best Test wicket is Trott running out Katich without facing a ball at Adelaide 2010, worth staying up for!

  3. WI 98-2published at 19 overs

It will be spin from both ends as Super Mo is introduced. A loosener first up from Moeen, full delivery up by thigh height, Shai Hope can only clip it down the ground for a single.

Moeen gets through the rest of the over so quickly. Nothing spectacular but done all the basics right. Four singles from it.

  5. drinks break

    WI 94-2published at 18 overs

Aside from the fireworks from Gayle and the odd well-timed drive from Kyle Hope, England have done well to stem the flow of runs today as Adil Rashid races through another over of spin.

Shai Hope looks to cut through to point, but a bottom edge dribbles past Buttler behind the stumps and they run through for a single.

Time for a drinks break. Go get yourself a brew. Make it quick.

    S Hope 14, Samuels 2

England have been alert in the field so far today as Eoin Morgan dives to his right to field in the covers. May well have gone for four.

Hope tries to clip one through to mid-on but doesn't time it, then shows his frustrations by punching the air down by his waist.

Two singles and a wide from the Plunkett over.

There's a huge amount of pressure on Marlon Samuels. He's not scored many runs in this series and a few have gone through his hands in the field.

  9. WI 89-2published at 16 overs

Centre of attention Chris Gayle has his hood up and is sharing a joke with his team-mates on the balcony as Adil Rashid continues for his third over.

Samuels drives to extra-cover to get off the mark with a single. A tidy over from the England leg-spinner, three from it.

    K Hope c&b Plunkett 33 (WI 86-2)

Plunkett takes another blinding catch. Kyle Hope with a gentle, little jab back towards the England seamer, who dives to his left and takes a wonderful one-handed grab low down. A poor way for Kyle Hope to go.

  15. WI 85-1published at 14 overs

    K Hope 33, S Hope 10

Kyle Hope nearly does an Evin Lewis, edging a floaty Adil Rashid ball straight towards his ankle/boot. Luckily, no damage done.

A lovely deft touch by K Hope, who plays a late cut down to third man for three.

Favourite Test wicket. Ashes 2010/11. Fifth Test, England close to series win. Mitchell Johnson comes out to bat. Barmy Army in full voice, singing about the direction and quality of his bowling. Clean bowled first ball, by a pearling Chris Tremlett yorker. Magnificent.

  17. WI 79-1published at 13 overs

The two Hopes are doing well to work the gaps, rotate the strike and take the singles. Something that the West Indies batsmen have generally struggled to do in this series, especially in the opening three matches.

Full and wide from Plunkett and Shai Hope with a textbook off drive, Bairstow doing well to run round in the deep and field it cleanly.

I think Dan could be right. An end of an era?

Time for spin as Adil Rashid has a turn of the arm. A hint of spin as Rashid bowls a good line outside the off stump. After three dot balls, Rashid gives it some flight and Shai Hope clips it to mid-on for a single.

Good running by the brothers for two more to end the over.
