  2. WI 6-0published at 3 overs

Kyle Hope, in for the injured Evin Lewis, clips one to square leg for two and then follows it with a single.

Signs of frustration from Chris Gayle? He plays a swing and a miss with the ball going through to Buttler behind the stumps. Another cracking delivery from Jake Ball again nearly finds the outside edge.

Gayle is then finally off the mark after 15 balls.

It's hit him on the back thigh pad. Height would have been the problem.

  5. WI 2-0published at 2 overs

    Gayle 0, Hope 1

Tom Curran, sporting the shaved sides and the gelled back barnet, bowls a wide in his first ball in ODI cricket. Kyle Hope gets the first runs off the bat with a little dab into the leg side.

Pitched up and a good line from Curran as the ball whizzes past Chris Gayle's bat.

There's a huge appeal for lbw, the ball nipping back and Gayle not playing a shot with hands up by his shoulders. It was too high. A tentative start from Gayle, who is yet to score from 11 balls.

  7. WI 0-0published at 1 over

Jake Ball opens the bowling from the Pavilion End. A quiet start, Chris Gayle with a little jab back to the bowler and then opting to leave a wide one outside off. The next one is down the leg side, for a moment it looked like Gayle may have nicked it but it comes off the thigh pad.

A beauty from Ball, shaping away from the left-hander who plays inside the line. That found some pace off the turf.

    Maiden to start.

The umpires walk out to the middle, followed by Eoin Morgan and his merry men. Handshakes, fist bumps, pats on the back all round. Debutant Tom Curran goes through his run-up. Finally, Chris Gayle and Kyle Hope skip out. Let's see some cricket ...

I'd move Jonny Bairstow up one, Moeen Ali up one and Chris Woakes up a slot. He would be your all-rounder - he is capable of being consistent, but that would weaken that tail.

West Indies stand-in captain Jason Mohammed: "Jason Holder is a huge loss, he was going well but we have good guys to come in and fill that slot. We don't mind batting first, it looks a good surface so hopefully we can put up a good total.

"We have two changes, Kyle Hope is in for Evin Lewis and Sunil Ambris will be making his debut."

"Woakes hasn't pulled up that well from The Oval, so Tom Curran makes his debut. It's also special day for us - we have an opportunity to win 4-0 and we're putting out our best possible team."

You've got to play your best team as much as you can in those warm-up games in Australia. They've got to make their practice is as strong as possible going into the first Test at Brisbane.
