  1. What's the weather forecast?published at 12:46 British Summer Time 29 September 2017

BBC Weather's Helen Willis: "It has been a soggy morning, but once the rain's gone it's gone. I'm hopeful that it's an improving picture today. It will remain 17 or 18 degrees."

The only cricketer that Australia genuinely feared is Ben Stokes. People have said that England have got no chance in Australia without him - I can't see how they can win.

The ECB has handled it as well as they possibly could. I dread to think with what has been going through Andrew Strauss' mind. He has given the players a little bit of freedom.

Over the last few days, the controversy has gone up a notch or two. I was staggered to see that the England Test vice-captain, with the ODI opener, was on the street at 2:30 in the morning.

Matthew Birch: Re: Amla stat (12:12 BST), that means that one in every 138 Test wickets ever to fall was taken by Jimmy Anderson. Quite impressive really.

It's about the players. Do they need to get together and ask how do they want to be viewed?

  10. Are England right not to select Stokes & Hales?published at 12:27 British Summer Time 29 September 2017

Whatever the consequences are, the two players are not selectable and I completely understand that. It is important to see how the criminal investigation will pan out.

Some good news ... the covers are coming off and the England team are making their way onto the outfield to go through some warm-ups.

It can't be right that international sports people are given that licence and that freedom - to be in a nightclub on a Sunday night. The culture of the sport needs to change.

We can't have people saying 'it's understandable that players are out at that time'. It's important that cricket changes and gets into the real world. It's not acceptable.

Still no idea of a start time but will keep you posted.

We'll soon find out whether England have decided to rest any key players. We do know that Dawid Malan has been added to their squad in place of Alex Hales.

Two certain absentees for the Windies are captain Jason Holder, who has returned home to attend his uncle's funeral, and opener Evin Lewis who suffered this nasty injury at The Oval.

  16. How's stat?published at 12:12 British Summer Time 29 September 2017

Away from Southampton, here's a pretty pointless but fascinating stat for you. Hashim Amla has been dismissed in the Test match between South Africa and Bangladesh - it is the 70,000th wicket to fall in Test cricket.

Morning, hope you're all well. With England 3-0 up in the ODI series, West Indies play their final match of the tour.

As off-field events still dominate the papers, today is the latest in the year an international game has ever been played in this country. With the Windies playing for pride and Eoin Morgan and others in need of runs, there is still plenty for us to focus on today.

Not even a fantastic Evin Lewis innings ....

... Or a stunning Chris Gayle catch in the slips ...

... could prevent England from wrapping up the series at The Oval via DLS.
