  1. Aus 82-1published at 15 overs

    Warner 39, Smith 22

Ooft, Rubel beats Warner all ends up with a corker, the ball bouncing over the top of off stump and leaving Warner groping at The Oval air. He's struck on the pad the very next delivery, Warner on the wander down the pitch, but the batsman turns his back on the bowler and recollects his thoughts. A good over, pace and accuracy, but I'm afraid to say the fans in the crowds have got their umbrellas up...

And here is one of David Warner's boundaries - he's only hit two in this innings yet he's going at just over a run a ball.

  3. Aus 80-1published at 14 overs

    Target 183

This is so easy for Australia, just jogging the singles. David Warner brings up 4,000 ODI runs in his 93rd innings with another single knocked square. He's the fastest Australian to get there, and the third fastest overall: only Hashim Amla and Viv Richards have reached it quicker. That's some company to be in.

If you look at the way Smith has batted, 19 off 15, he's just been at ease and picking up the runs quite easily.

  5. Aus 75-1published at 13 overs

    Warner 35, Smith 19

A change of ends for Rubel, who whizzes through another over. Smith hooks a bouncer down nicely for a couple and Warner pinches two with a forward defensive, before he thumps his thigh pad in frustration as a pull shot ends up tamely trickling into the pitch. No extravagant shots and yet eight runs from it.

Tuffers and Vaughan will be on the air on BBC Radio 5 live at 21:00 tonight and Michael Vaughan has been talking to former Pakistan coach Waqar Younis about the debacle against India yesterday. He doesn't hold back.

"It was very ordinary," said Waqar. "Pakistan were all over the place. I thought a lot of simple mistakes were made. Winning the toss and bowling was a weak decision.

"I don't have any hope that Pakistan will get of the group. It's going to be very difficult. The batting is very weak."

  7. Aus 67-1published at 12 overs

    Target 183

Mashrafe is back, and Smith is surprised by a delivery that bounces a touch and runs off the inside edge. He inspects his bat as he and Warner run a couple. Ooft, another delivery outside off stump and Smith has a bit of a mow at it, driving away from his body. And now it's Warner that's poking forward and only just avoiding edging behind. Decent over, that.

As poor as Bangladesh have batted today, full credit must go to Tamim Iqbal. Very experienced performances against both England and Australia. Credit to his country.

  9. Aus 61-1published at 11 overs

    Warner 28, Smith 12

First bit of spin, courtesy of Mehedi Hasan, while a man in a tiger fancy dress costume puts sunglasses on. I dunno, it still looks dark out there to me. This is good work from Australia, milking the singles, not allowing Mehedi to settle as he has to readjust for the left-handed Warner, then the right-handed Smith.

  10. Wahab Riaz ruled out for Pakistanpublished at 18:17 British Summer Time 5 June 2017

Some bad news if you're a Pakistan fan: fast bowler Wahab Riaz has been ruled out of the rest of the tournament with an ankle injury.

He suffered the injury during Pakistan's 124-run defeat by India on Sunday. He was having a horrid day up until then, going for 87 runs in 8.4 overs before leaving the field (see for yourself in the clip below)

The PCB have put in a request to call up a replacement. They face South Africa at Edgbaston on Wednesday.

  11. Aus 57-1published at 10 overs

Warner tries to pull Rubel handsomely over the in-field but ends up swiping at the air as the ball stays lower than he expected. Another swing and a miss from Warner, this time to a wide delivery, and the batsman leans on his bat and has a quick word with himself. Australia are still skipping along here, they're well in front of the DLS rate.

Here is the wicket of Aaron Finch - that ball looks like it's going to clatter into leg stump, to my mind.

  13. Aus 54-1published at 9 overs

    Warner 24, Smith 9

Mustafizur continues and comes oh-so-close to sneaking through Smith's crabby defence. That's a lovely response from Smith though, a cover drive that clatters into the advertising beyond the boundary rope and brings up Australia's 50. Smith is then gifted a full toss but it surprises him, and he makes do with bunting down the ground for a couple.

  15. Aus 48-1published at 8 overs

    Target 183

The Bangladesh supporters crank up the noise as Rubel runs in to new man Steve Smith, but Smith easily clips the ball off his legs to pick up three runs.

It's a really good comeback delivery from Rubel. Much straighter, just came back in. No real foot movement from Finch.

    Finch lbw b Rubel 19 (Aus 45-1)

Ooh, that's well out. Finch had just pummeled a short ball to the boundary, and Rubel responds with a straight delivery that Finch just misses. Playing across his pad, he's struck on the back leg by a delivery that keeps a little low, and it just looks out. Finch pauses, briefly, to check with Warner before heading off.

Not enough runs on the board for Bangladesh is a big problem. You really can't stop Australia with the strengths of their batting order, especially their opening pair.

  19. Aus 40-0published at 7 overs

    Target 183

I'm no meteorologist but even I know it's grim out there. Windy and grey and dark, the clouds almost teasing the players about whether it's going to rain or not. And yet, behind the pavilion, there's a tantalising hint of blue sky. Finch plays and misses at a full delivery from Mustafizur, drawing about a few ooh's from the crowd.

No need for the Aussies to go hard here surely? As they are unlikely to score the runs in less than 20 overs, and if they bat that long then D/L will apply to give them the win provided they are going along well!
