That should have been caught. It wasn't an easy catch, running to his left hand side, but Gunathilaka was always tentative in going for it.
Ind 247-3
Lasith Malinga back on, starts with a slower ball that Dhawan sweeps but gets too much under the ball...Gunathilaka puts in a shift to get there, but once he does, he misjudges it and fails to get a hand on the ball as it rolls away for four.

Full, wide and on the full toss, Dhoni has smashed that.
Dhawan 116, Dhoni 32
Start the carnage indeed. Dhoni is dealing only in boundaries now, slugging a full toss through midwicket for four and following it up clattering another full toss past point.
Not three from three though as he swings and misses at Pradeep's final ball of the over.
Remarkably, this is Dhawan's first six of the innings and it's a remarkable shot too.
He walks across to off stump, having picked the short-pitched ball straight away and half-hooks, half-scoops Pradeep up and over the ropes.
Start the carnage!

Nine overs left and presumably it will be nine overs of carnage.

Lakmal is looking to bowl wide yorkers to limit the batsman's options but Dhawan anticipated it.
Dhawan 109, Dhoni 23
India are going to really go at Sri Lanka now and Angelo Mathews' side need to be precise.
Instead, Gunaratne throws down the stumps with Dhawan comfortably in his crease and it runs away for an overthrow.
Lakmal then goes full and wide outside off but Dhawan is ready, drilling it straight down the ground for four.
A few more scampered runs before Dhawan thrashes at a wide one - may have even got a faint edge on that but it drops well short of keeper Dickwella. Nine off the over.
Centurion's showreel
Here are some of Shikhar Dhawan's best bits. It looks like there might be a few more clips before the innings is out.
Oof, Dhawan is almost one hundred and done there as he chips a loose shot into the leg side but it falls short of the incoming fielder.
A single from Dhoni off the last ball. Into the last 10 overs we go...

It has not been Kohli's day, or Rohit's or Yuvraj's it has been Shikhar Dhawan's.

And that's it. Dhawan just needs one more delivery to bring up his 10th ODI hundred off 112 balls.
He reaches the landmark in fitting fashion, giving himself room to cut Pradeep away through backward point for four.
It's not been the most explosive innings but there have been some sumptuous shots in there and he's balanced attack and defence beautifully.
It is Dhawan's third Champions Trophy hundred - the joint most with Chris Gayle, Sourav Ganguly and Herschelle Gibbs.
Pradeep is back on after a mixed first spell. He's strays short to Dhoni and MS isn't messing about, clattering a pull shot away for a one-bounce four.
Good response from Pradeep, pitching it up as Dhoni edges one into his pads.
Dhawan on strike and on 97...
Looked like a good over from Lakmal until Dhawan flicks a loose delivery down leg away for four to move to 97.
Approaching the final 10 overs now, I think we can expect an onslaught soon enough.

If India are going to win this tournament then they need to be more ruthless.
Players like Rohit have to convert those 75s into 150.
Gunaratne is so slow, both Dhawan and Dhoni have taken their helmets off. Dhawan is full skinhead, Dhoni's opted for the cap.
Just three off the over. Sri Lanka's part timers have been more effective than the rest of their main attack, Perera aside.
Gunathilaka continues his part-time off-spin but Dhoni has seen enough, tucking away a sort of checked pull shot for four. A release shot that could signal the start of a charge perhaps?
At the other end, Dhawan takes a single to move into the nineties.

It is old fashioned-style bowling from Gunaratne.
He is coming round the wicket bowling these dibbly dobbly delieveries.
Some spinners actually bowl quicker.
