Instead, Gunaratne throws down the stumps with Dhawan comfortably in his crease and it runs away for an overthrow.
Lakmal then goes full and wide outside off but Dhawan is ready, drilling it straight down the ground for four.
A few more scampered runs before Dhawan thrashes at a wide one - may have even got a faint edge on that but it drops well short of keeper Dickwella. Nine off the over.

He reaches the landmark in fitting fashion, giving himself room to cut Pradeep away through backward point for four.
It's not been the most explosive innings but there have been some sumptuous shots in there and he's balanced attack and defence beautifully.
It is Dhawan's third Champions Trophy hundred - the joint most with Chris Gayle, Sourav Ganguly and Herschelle Gibbs.
