  1. Ban 218-5published at 42 overs

    Ashwin 10-0-54-0

Ashwin to bowl his final over. Mahmudullah unfurls the reverse sweep on the first ball, flicking it away from a sublime boundary.

Two singles then three dots to end. Ashwin has done a decent job today with the ball, helping to smother Bangladesh when they threatened to fire. Less said about his fielding the better, mind.

You can see that Bangladesh want to attack but they've always got the knowledge that they're five wickets down.

  3. Ban 212-5published at 41 overs

    Mahmudullah 12, Mosaddek 14

Bumrah back into the attack, three decent balls but then Mosaddek stands tall to punch away the fourth through mid-off to the fence. Good response from the bowler though, with two dots to finish.

So Ashwin could no make amends for this drop the over before. Can Mahmudullah punish India?

  5. Ban 207-5published at 40 overs

One of the rarest sights in cricket here. MS Dhoni goes to retrieve a clip down leg, ditching his glove but his throw back towards the stumps hits the glove - and that's five penalty runs against India.

Eagle-eyed stuff from Richard Kettleborough to spot that. Mass confusion as to what had been awarded for a while but the umpire was in no doubt, signalling upstairs to give Bangladesh five extra runs.

A bit of a loose over from Ashwin otherwise, including a wide. Can Bangladesh kick on in the final 10 overs?

Bangladesh are stuffing up a little bit. There was that period of the innocuous off-spin of Kedar Jadhav and he's picked up 2-22.

  7. Ban 197-5published at 39 overs

Calmer end to the over, Mahmudullah picking up a nice-looking two.

A shelled chance for India in that over - captain Kohli made no mistake earlier though as he helped remove Mushfiqur...

It wasn't an easy chance but some fielders would have gobbled it up. Kohli has got one of those faces on. It was in the air for a long time and Ashwin got two hands to it.

  9. dropped catch

Ashwin drops Mahmudullah on fourpublished at 38.3 overs

Oooshk. Hardik Pandya back into the attack and hangs one outside off that Mahmudullah plays at but misses.

Another dot and Mahmudullah loses patience, flashing a cut shot up and away...it's heading towards Ashwin at third man but the big spinner drops it.

To make matters worse, it dribbles away for four. Kohli provides the customary death stare.

  10. Ban 191-5published at 38 overs

The pace at which India are racing through these overs is testing my typing speed.

It's rattling these Bangladesh batsman more though. Blink and they've missed out on three balls, scoring just a single off each of the other three from the returning Ashwin.

So Jadeja finishes with figures of 10-0-48-1 - a very handy spell that has stifled Bangladesh's enterprising innings. He also picked up the key wicket of Shakib...

  13. Ban 188-5published at 37 overs

Another good over from Jadeja, until the final ball of both it and his 10 overs as Mosaddek cuts away a short and wide ball for four.

I like Kohli more and more. He's like me when I used to bowl. He gets really rattled by anything that doesn't go his way.

  16. Ban 183-5published at 36 overs

New man Mosaddek Hossain plunders a four off the final ball of Jadhav's sixth over. The India part-timer remarkably has figures of 6-0-22-2.

Kohli glares at him for leaking a boundary though. High standards from the skipper.

India are buzzing through their overs and taking a few quick wickets. It's ripping the heart out of the Bangladesh innings.

  18. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 35.2 overs

    Mushfiqur c Kohli b Jadhav 61 (Ban 179-5)

Ugh. This is a truly ugly dismissal. Jadhav fires in a low full toss and Mushfiqur tries to attack it but contrives to just send a low lap-sweep straight to Kohli at mid-wicket.

From a position of strength, Bangladesh are falling apart. Kohli sticks out his tongue in celebration. His spin decision fully vindicated.

  19. Ban 179-4published at 35 overs

    Jadeja 9-0-43-1

Just a couple more singles as new man Mahmudullah gets off the mark. Not long for Bangladesh to turn this around.

Very good tactics from India - they build some pressure, get the spinners on, race through the overs, build up the dots and then something happens. I've seen them do this thousands of times.
