Not one of the first four balls to the tailender from Bhuvneshwar was on the stumps. I think with tailenders, you just keep it straight, otherwise they will play and miss all day.

  2. Ban 248-7published at 48 overs

Five consecutive swings and misses by Taskin against Kumar, which is remarkable at this stage of an ODI innings.

Finally Taskin connects. It's an edge, but it races away for four. They all count and Bangladesh will take anything they can get right now.

  3. All hail Jasprit Bumrahpublished at 13:37 British Summer Time 15 June 2017

  4. Ban 244-7published at 47 overs

    Mortaza 18, Taskin 4

Dot, single, dot follows that four before a very ordinary bit of fielding from Yuvraj Singh allows the Bangladesh pair to plunder two. A single to finish, eight off the over this time.

It's been another wonderful spell of death bowling from Bumrah, capped by this excellent yorker to remove Mahmudullah...

  5. Ban 240-7published at 46.1 overs

A welcome boundary for Bangladesh as Mortaza dances around his crease and inside edges Bumrah back on the angle for four through fine leg.

I think a certain Simon Hughes called the Indian bowling attack "over-rated" after the Sri Lanka match. They look alright to me.

H Singh (presumably not THE Harbhajan?!)

Taskin Ahmed does not have a great record in ODIs: he's made 26 runs in 28 innings at an average of 2.88.

  8. Ban 236-7published at 46 overs

Taskin Ahmed is the new man in. Kumar to continue for India. Taskin gets off the mark from the third ball before Mortaza flays at a short-pitched ball and top edges it over Dhoni for four.

A single to finish but just seven runs off the over, which at this stage is less than Bangladesh need.

This is just wiping Bangladesh out. 275 seems miles away. That's a brilliant delivery and it's very difficult to get underneath that. India are being clinical. Once they got that middle order breakthrough they're starting to wheel through them.

Superb death bowling. Bumrah is the go-to man for India at the death now.

  11. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 45 overs

    Mahmudullah b Bumrah 21 (Ban 229-7)

Another excellent over from the unorthodox, pacy Bumrah. He concedes just three runs off the first five deliveries before capping it off with a deadly yorker in at the feet of Mahmudullah, who can do nothing to keep it out as he advances down the pitch, only to see the ball rearrange his stumps.

Bangladesh ending with a whimper as it stands.

  12. Postpublished at 13:25 British Summer Time 15 June 2017

Bumrah is about to start his eighth over. One of the outstanding death bowlers in the world, he had a deserved wicket in his last over, tricking Mosaddek into an ill-advised pull shot and catching the leading edge...

As players, you sit down and make your plans against people like Ravi Ashwin or Jasprit Bumrah. Kedar Jadhav might not have entered their thought process and that can throw you off.

  14. Ban 226-6published at 44 overs

Bhuvneshwar Kumar returns to the fray, his fourth delivery smeared away for four through cow corner by Mortaza. Good signs the skipper might be able to assist Mahmudullah in taking his side up to a competitive total.

  15. Postpublished at 13:21 British Summer Time 15 June 2017

Bangladesh will indeed be leaning on Mahmudullah for most of their runs from here - but that's not a bad thing if he pulls off more shots like this one...

Mahmudullah is the key now for Bangladesh. His balance of attack and defence has to be so careful to get Bangladesh to what is, in their minds, a total they can defend.

  17. Ban 220-6published at 43 overs

Excellent over from Bumrah, who greeted new man and skipper Mashrafe Mortaza with a well-directed bouncer.

Is 275 at least reachable from here?

That's a very good catch. Now we're at the stage where Bangladesh could be bowled out for 240 when they could have been looking at 300.

  19. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 42.3 overs

    Mosaddek c and b Bumrah 15 (Ban 218-6)

Having taken aim at both feet, Bangladesh are now shooting themselves in other limbs now.

Mosaddek unleashes an ugly-looking pull stroke at a rising Bumrah delivery, finding it only with the splice of the bat as the ball loops straight up and it's a simple catch for the bowler.

India firmly on top now. How many can Bangladesh muster?

Sreejay S‏: India are not going to chase anything over 275. If things keep as is, it's a Pakistan v Bangladesh final.
