And that - after a little bit of bonus added action - is time for us to roll on the covers at the end of another day's play.

We've seen wins for three counties (almost a fourth) and plenty of twists in a few other games.

Still plenty of action to come as we round off this set of fixtures on Easter Monday.

Join myself and Kalika Mehta from 10:45 BST for the conclusion.

    Until then.....

Right, before we go, let's just give you a look at the close of play scores......

  3. Close of play at Edgbastonpublished at 19:20 British Summer Time 16 April 2017

    Warwickshire 178 & 85-9 v Yorkshire 381

So that's your lot for the day and what a day for Yorkshire and Ben Coad once more.

The young seamer has another five-wicket haul and 10 wickets in the match.

Warwickshire have a lot of soul-searching to do with the bat and they are still 118 runs behind avoiding an innings defeat with just the one wicket in hand.

  4. Bad light stops playpublished at 19:17 British Summer Time 16 April 2017

    Warwickshire 178 & 85-9 v Yorkshire 381

    And what an anti-climax!

Umpires have decided that it is indeed too dim now and the floodlights have taken over the natural light.

Off we go four overs shy of the extra allotted eight.

  5. Postpublished at 19:16 British Summer Time 16 April 2017

    Warwickshire 178 & 85-9 v Yorkshire 381

Maiden over from Adil Rashid as the ball just passes by Oliver Hannon-Dalby's outside edge.

  6. Shot Jeetan!published at 19:14 British Summer Time 16 April 2017

    Warwickshire 178 & 85-9 v Yorkshire 381

Jeetan Patel isn't going down without some resistance for Warwickshire.

He flicks a nice shot through the legside off his legs for four off Adam Lyth's last ball.

    Five overs remaining...

  7. Lyth on at the other endpublished at 19:10 British Summer Time 16 April 2017

    Warwickshire 178 & 79-9 v Yorkshire 381

So, one wicket required and six overs to bowl tonight.

Adam Lyth comes on at the other end as Yorkshire try to win it with spin.

  8. wicket

WICKET Wright (b Rashid) 6published at 19:08 British Summer Time 16 April 2017

    Warwickshire 178 & 79-9 v Yorkshire 381

Yorkshire may have been forced to turn to their spinners due to the fading light at Edgbaston but Adil Rashid is no mug with the ball.

A loss of concentration for Chris Wright sees the Warwickshire seamer bowled through the gate by the spinner.

One wicket left for the visitors to clinch an impressive innings win.

  9. Rashid on for Yorkshirepublished at 19:06 British Summer Time 16 April 2017

    Warwickshire 178 & 79-8 v Yorkshire 381

So, an over of Tim Bresnan at the start of this extra time and now Adil Rashid is on.

Looks like the umpires have told Gary Ballance he can only use his spinners in the fading light.

  10. And we continue....published at 19:01 British Summer Time 16 April 2017

    Warwickshire 178 & 71-8 v Yorkshire 381

So, overtime it is in Birmingham.

Another half an hour's action for Yorkshire to try and wrap this up.

  11. Last over at Edgbaston?published at 18:57 British Summer Time 16 April 2017

    Warwickshire 178 & 65-8 v Yorkshire 381

David Willey to bowl for Yorkshire.

Is this the last over of the day or is Gary Ballance going to go for the win this evening?

  12. Close of play at Derbypublished at 18:52 British Summer Time 16 April 2017

    Derbyshire 281 & 142-0 v Northamptonshire 307

Last of the day's action in Division Two has reached stumps.

Derbyshire looking pretty in that one after three days with a lead of 116 with all second innings wickets in hand.

  13. Three overs (minimum) to go at Edgbastonpublished at 18:49 British Summer Time 16 April 2017

    Warwickshire 178 & 56-8 v Yorkshire 381

Last three overs (potentially) at Edgbaston.

Will Yorkshire wrap it up before we even need an extra half hour?

There is one fan left at Edgbaston and he is being treated to a masterclass in fast bowling by seamer Ben Coad.

  14. Close of play at Ageas Bowlpublished at 18:41 British Summer Time 16 April 2017

    Hampshire 438 v Middlesex 356 & 111-4

Time up at the Ageas Bowl on day three.

Hampshire almost snatched a fifth Middlesex wicket in the last over but Steven Finn survived an edge through the slip cordon off Kyle Abbott that somehow didn't go to hand at catch-able height.

Middlesex are just 29 runs ahead going into the last day with six second-innings wickets remaining.

  15. wicket

WICKET Porterfield (c Bresnan b Coad) 20published at 18:38 British Summer Time 16 April 2017

    Warwickshire 178 & 54-8 v Yorkshire 381

Warwickshire are folding like a pack of cards and the hottest property in county cricket right now, Ben Coad, has his second five-wicket haul of the match.

William Porterfield is latest scalp as he's caught at first slip.

That eighth wicket means that Yorkshire can claim the extra half an hour to try and finish the match this evening, if they require it.

  16. Close of play at The Ovalpublished at 18:35 British Summer Time 16 April 2017

    Surrey 319 & 55-1 (f/o) v Lancashire 470

And after another day of lots of overs, it's time at The Oval on the third day between Surrey and Lancashire.

Advantage Red Rose you could say...

  17. Another scalp for Kyle Abbottpublished at 18:28 British Summer Time 16 April 2017

    Hampshire 438 v Middlesex 356 & 103-4

Kyle Abbott's in the wickets again for Hampshire.

Middlesex looked to be watchfully playing their way to the close until Stevie Eskinazi took a waft at a wide one outside off stump to give Lewis McManus a catch behind.

    Middlesex only 21 runs ahead.

  18. wicket

WICKET Barker (c Hodd b Patterson) 10published at 18:23 British Summer Time 16 April 2017

    Warwickshire 178 & 40-7 v Yorkshire 381

Another one bites the dust at Edgbaston as it looks like Warwickshire are headed for a huge innings defeat tonight.

Keith Barker is the latest casualty as a slashes at a wide ball from Steven Patterson and is caught behind for 10.

Eight overs left in the day, surely they players won't be back tomorrow?
