  1. SL 157-7published at 41 overs

    Sciver 6-0-20-2

Nat Sciver is the women's team's Ben Stokes. She hits the ball hard and far and bustles in with some very useful medium pace. Kanchana doesn't care for reputations though, as she clouts four through mid-wicket when Sciver over-pitches.

  2. SL 151-7published at 40 overs

    Ranasinghe 14, Kanchana 1

Katherine Brunt wipes the sweat from the palm of her hands before each delivery, then screams in anguish as Ranasinghe reads an outswinger and guides it past the vacant first slip region for four.

  3. SL 145-7published at 39 overs

    Marsh 10-0-45-4

Laura Marsh finishes with the fourth-best bowling figures of her long career, only getting better returns against Pakistan in 2009 (5-15), South Africa in 2008 (4-19) and Sri Lanka last year (4-21). Rolling back the years.

  4. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 38.3 overs

    Lokusooriya c Winfield b Marsh 3 (SL 145-7)

That's four for Laura Marsh, who smiles as Lokusooriya tries to belt her to Bristol but succeeds in a bottom edge which flies high and to Lauren Winfield running round from short fine leg.

  5. SL 144-6published at 38 overs

    Last 5 overs: SL 14-1

Nice tactics from Sri Lanka, who use Katherine Brunt's extra pace to tip the ball into gaps and run the singles. They all add up at this stage and in this position.

Australia's bowlers have put the brakes on New Zealand's batters at Bristol. Susie Bates - playing her 100th ODI for the White Ferns - was dismissed after she made 51 and the Aussies have tightened the screw since. Spinner Jess Jonassen has done the damage for the Aussies with three wickets, including the that of skipper Bates. New Zealand are currently 133-5 off 35 overs.

Nashra Sandhu took two wickets in two balls to help Pakistan put the pressure on India, who are 98-4 from 30 overs at Derby. South Africa look set to make light work of West Indies' total of 48. The Proteas are currently 24-0 in the fourth over.

  7. SL 142-6published at 37 overs

Here's that wonderful catch from Fran Wilson again. Equally as magnificent is a sweep to the boundary by Ranasinghe. That's dented Laura Marsh's figures a bit more.

  8. SL 136-6published at 36 overs

    Brunt 6-3-9-0

Katherine Brunt is summoned by the England skipper, who is probably keen to wrap this innings up. Full, fast and plenty of grunts. No breakthrough though.

  9. SL 134-6published at 35 overs

    Run-rate: 3.82

Just one from Laura Marsh's latest set of six. Sri Lanka are wilting beneath the Taunton sun.

  10. SL 133-6published at 34 overs

I'm aware the Derek Randall fan club will now be in touch after my Jonty Rhodes comment. I'm too young to remember Derek...

England continue to swarm Sri Lanka in the field - this time Katherine Brunt makes a good stop at short cover to prevent Lokusooriya getting a boundary through.

That was a brilliant catch from Fran Wilson. She soared like a salmon and has caught it horizontal. The 'Fran club' will be happy with that one! She is someone who loves fielding and being involved in the game. When you are a specialist batter that's how you can really contribute in the field.

  12. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 33.2 overs

    Manodara c Wilson b Knight 28 (SL 130-6)

Was that Fran Wilson or Jonty Rhodes?

England's gun fielder at point, Wilson, flings herself to her right to take a superb catch and give Heather Knight her first wicket of the afternoon.

A piece of fielding South Africa great Rhodes - the original world-class fielder - would have been proud of.

  13. SL 130-5published at 33 overs

Only 11 other players have more ODI wickets than Laura Marsh in the women's game now. With that last wicket, she has drawn level with Pakistan captain Sana Mir. The full list is here., external

It's brilliant from Laura Marsh. She'll be so pleased after being left out. Sarah Taylor brings that little bit more security behind the stumps.

  15. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 32.3 overs

    Madhavi c Taylor b Marsh 1 (SL 130-5)

Absolutely textbook from England. The new batter, looking slightly nervous, is accompanied by a slip when on strike. Laura Marsh continues to toss the ball up, some nice dip and the ball takes the outside edge. The rest is all about Sarah Taylor's safe hands. Sri Lanka on the ropes.

  16. SL 129-4published at 32 overs

    Marsh 6-0-36-2 / Knight 5-0-16-0

I mentioned when Laura Marsh took this wicket that the batter was deceived in the flight. The deception was the lack of flight. It was a much flatter delivery with slightly more pace. Marsh, while expensive, has been impressive today. Wickets are the most important currency in modern cricket, not runs conceded. At the other end, Heather Knight is bustling through some cheap overs. It's all adding up to a good fielding display.

  17. West Indies crumblepublished at 12:17 British Summer Time 2 July 2017

West Indies have folded quicker than the origami world champion against South Africa at Grace Road. The Windies have been bundled out for 48 in just 25.2 overs - their lowest ever total in World Cup history and the sixth lowest of all time. Chedean Nation (26) was the only player to make double figures. Four wickets apiece for Dane van Niekerk and Marizanne Kapp.

  18. SL 125-4published at 31 overs

Good boundary fielding from Katherine Brunt prevents a second boundary in the over and limits Manodara to a two. Applause all round.

That's brilliant from England and Laura Marsh, but you have to say that is poor shot selection when the game was just setting up for Sri Lanka who now have to rebuild.

  20. SL 118-4published at 30 overs

    Manodara 17, Madhavi 0

England are turning the screw with a succession of slow bowling. Manodara, who got off the mark with these two boundaries, is very bottom-handed in style and she plays out a maiden to Heather Knight.
