  1. Aus 163-3published at 38 overs

    Hartely 10-0-31-2

Villani had been struggling to find the runs in this innings but she comes dancing down the track, goes over cover for four.

Alex Hartley's 10 are up, pats on the back from her teammates. Nice job today.

There's only so long you can keep doing this. Just patting the ball back to the bowler. There's no intent.

  3. Aus 156-3published at 37 overs

Tight bowling as Australia struggle to find the gaps. Perry has done well but she still has a big job on her hands as just two from Gunn's over.

England fielders with a spring in their step. Required rate is now eight but one or two big overs would soon change that. Intriguingly poised this one.

  4. Aus 154-3published at 36 overs

The batting power play is taken but Hartley with a magnificent over, to concede just one run at this stage, when you think about the context of the game, is brilliant.

She has just one over remaining as a bit of pressure builds on Australia. 106 from 84 needed, will this one go down to the wire? Remember, an Australia win and they qualify for the semi-finals.

Meg Lanning was looking in fine form, hitting fours for fun, before Alex Hartley managed to remove her...

  6. Aus 153-3published at 35 overs

    Target 260

I said that this game needed to find some excitement and it has delivered. Where do I start?

From the beginning perhaps, a Perry four through cover, a mix up and she nearly runs out her partner Villani, before Perry then absolutely clubs one over mid-wicker for a big six.

Eventful over, 12 from it and that dropped catch looks even more costly now.

This could be a big drop. It is an easy take as well. She would take those nine times out of 10.

  8. dropped catch

    Dropped catchpublished at 34 overs

    Harley 8-0-22-2

Australia should be four down. Villani tries to hit against spin and Anya Shrubsole just never really got her eye on it, looked awkward as she bent down at mid-on to take it. It was a dolly.

Alex Harley the pick of the England bowlers for me today, she's tucked up the batters with a tight line but she should have four.

  9. Aus 138-3published at 33 overs

    Target 260

This isn't the super high scoring game that some of us thought it might be.

Elyse Villani is the new woman in, fresh from her three wickets earlier today.

Perry shows her intent, drilling one down past mid-wicket for four.

You sensed something was happening. Lanning was attempting to go over the top but she missed it. Game on.

  11. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 31.4 overs

    Lanning b Hartley 40 (Aus 129-3)

They definitely won't be getting to that century partnership, that's for sure.

The chopping and changing with the attack works as Meg Lanning advances down to Alex Hartley, plays inside the line of the ball and it clatters into the stumps. Big wicket.

Lanning and Perry now have four half-century partnerships to go with seven century partnerships.

  13. Aus 129-2published at 31 overs

Hazell returns. Again, four from the first ball of the over followed by some clever running between the wicket.

Lanning drives on the up and manages to clear the woman at short mid-off to find the boundary. Three more singles follow.

Injured or not, Meg Lanning is still using her feet really well. If she can let it come back and hit point and square she is comfortable, but England need to put some pressure on and make her drive.

  15. Aus 122-2published at 30 overs

    Target 260

Meg Lanning is so, so good. She takes a step back into her crease, opens her body and clonks a short one from Brunt, sending the ball crashing through to the boundary.

Australia need 138 needed from 120 balls. Eight wickets still in hand but England aren't out of this one yet.

  16. Lord's updatepublished at 16:04 British Summer Time 9 July 2017

England's men might be celebrating victory tonight, judging by the speed in which things are moving in the first Test at Lord's. They've reduced South Africa to 25-3 at tea - the Proteas, remember, are chasing 331 to win. Join Jamie Lillywhite here.

  17. Aus 117-2published at 29 overs

    Target 260

It helps Australia's cause when they manage to find the boundary from the first delivery in the over as Lamming uses her wrists to flick it square for four. Tremendous shot, nearly went for six.

  18. How's stat?!published at 16:00 British Summer Time 9 July 2017

Meg Lanning and Ellyse Perry had scored 1,353 ODI runs together prior to this game in 16 innings at an average of 104.07.

  19. Aus 110-2published at 28 overs

    Target 260

That was a loosener from Katherine Brunt who comes back into the attack - full and angling down leg and it's helpfully guided to the boundary by Lanning. A despairing dive by Tammy Beaumont can't stop the four.

Brunt struggles to find her line again, this time Perry can't guide it down to fine leg. In general, England have done well in the field today as a solid stop at point restricts Australia to just a single from the final ball. Seven from the over, though.

  20. Lanning gets her first boundary of the afternoonpublished at 15:53 British Summer Time 9 July 2017

Australia will be hoping for a proper captain's innings from Meg Lanning. She got her first boundary with this pull shot...
