  1. Aus 17-0published at 3 overs

    Target 260

Quality shot from Mooney, who leans into a full ball from Brunt and drives through the gap at cover for four. It swung a bit but was bang in the slot. Brunt then veers down leg and is flicked away to the rope. No room for error from the England bowlers.

Communication between Mooney and Bolton is good, they seem to have a good relationship.

  3. Aus 8-0published at 2 overs

    Target 260

Nicole Bolton is off the mark at the first time of asking with a couple from a cut off Anya Shrubsole. Another late cut brings another couple as Australia continue their steady start.

It's going to be all about the power play. Either England need to find a way to take two or three early wickets or restrict them to just 30/35 from the first 10 overs.

  5. Aus 2-0published at 1 over

Bit of swing for Katherine Brunt, who is one wicket away from becoming England's leading ODI wicket-taker. The first runs for the Aussies comes from a flick off the pads to fine leg by Beth Mooney. A sliding stop from the fielder keeps it to two.

Should England win this game, they will have Katherine Brunt and Jenny Gunn to thank. A very valuable 85 run partnership at the end, the biggest of the day, gives the hosts a fighting chance.

Danielle Wyatt kept to the script, hitting two sixes and a four but then gifting her wicket away.

And perhaps the most frustrating of all was Tammy Beaumont, who batted sensibly and paced her innings nicely as wickets fell around her. But the opener eventually went, a somewhat ugly way to lose your wicket, agonisingly short of her half-century.

The story for most of the day? The England batters got off to good starts but struggled to convert them into big ones. Just like Taylor, Sciver looked in decent nick before departing for just 29,

Sarah Taylor took no time at all to play herself in, she continued in her imperious form with some class shot making. As Taylor looked to be heading towards another big score, Kristen Beams struck with her first ball of the day.

Let’s start at the beginning, Australia struck early. A well-deserved wicket for Megan Schutt who displayed some fine swing bowling at the top of the innings.

So there we go, it didn't seem like it for most of the match but England have a total which they can try to defend.

Time for some clips and a recap of what has happened so far today ...

England should have got 300 plus today. There were some real shots which gave it away, frustration for England. This back end momentum will help to build something going into the Australia innings.

    Beams 9-1-44-2

Australian leg-spinner Kristen Beams: "We wanted to bowl full and straight and thought that would be the best ploy today. It's a good wicket and we got the batters to chase this down today."

England have now given themselves some kind of total, but I cannot believe Villani has three wickets.

    Shrubsole c Schutt b Villani 0 (Eng 259-8)

New batter Anya Shrubsole has two balls to try and get England to 260. She misses the first and then chips the second to Schutt at long-off.

Australia end well, but England's late order hitting has given us a game here.

She had to go for it, had to go big. Well done to Jenny Gunn. She just went to far to the leg side, stitched herself up a little bit.

A superb partnership and a great innings comes to an end as Gunn dances down, misses and is stumped. She has done her bit, though, to give England a chance.

And this is another belter of a shot. A couple of strides and a smashing cover drive for four by Brunt.
