I do like a good rendition of Advance Australia Fair.

Alex Blackwell sticks her cap on her little mascot, who looks genuinely thrilled, as both teams head off for a final huddle.

I'm surprised Ekta Bisht isn't playing, as she was really good here against Pakistan.

Smriti Mandhana is the player I want to watch here. She scores quickly and seems to know her game very, very well.

Here's how the sides are lining up today.

India XI: Mandhana, Raut, Raj (c), Kaur, Deepti, Krishnamurthy, Verma (wk), Goswami, Pandey, Gayakwad, Poonam

Australia XI: Bolton, Mooney, Lanning, Perry, Villani, Blackwell, Healy, Gardner, Jonassen, Schutt, Beams.

Ex-England captain on BBC Test Match Special

Australia's Elyse Villani doesn't bowl in domestic cricket, I don't think she even bowls in club cricket, yet she was given the last over against England. Yet they've got Sarah Aley in the squad who can't get a game.

  7. 'A good toss to lose'published at 13:29 British Summer Time 20 July 2017

Australia captain Meg Lanning: "I wasn't too sure what to do, with the weather around. It's a good toss to lose. It's important we start well with the ball. 42 overs isn't that much different, which is good. We've had a good couple of hours rest so we're ready to go."

Only one change for Australia, with Lanning herself returning in place of Rachael Haynes.

  8. 'The wicket looks good'published at 13:27 British Summer Time 20 July 2017

India captain Mithali Raj: "The wicket looks good, the square is good. We've played four games here, the girls are used to the conditions and it's good to have the crowd behind us. We haven't changed our XI from the last game."

  9. India win toss & batpublished at 13:25 British Summer Time 20 July 2017

Here we go. Meg Lanning has the coin in her hand, Mithali Raj calls heads - and she calls correctly!

India will have a bat first.

We also thought Mark Wood might not be fit, as he went off before the end of the last match. The fact he's still in the squad indicates he's fit, but he hasn't really looked himself in the last two Tests. I thought Wood was going to be a really important factor looking ahead to Australia where you need a cutting edge with his extra pace, and he hasn't looked that way this summer. Whether he's still feeling that ankle we don't know, but it's important he finds some rhythm.

A quick reminder that India are unbeaten in their four group matches at Derby, but they've only won eight of their 42 meetings with Australia.

I felt a bit sorry for Root the other day because he looked a bit stunned after that Test, as though he'd taken a right hook and was having to stand up to things. Michael Vaughan said one or two things about Root on TMS which were thrown back at him at the press conference. But England made some awful mistakes - however much you might yell at batsmen, you can't do it for them. Someone like Vernon Philander will prey on errors.

I wrote a piece on the website after the last Test when I described England as "champagne cricketers", but they've been playing like that for a while - and when it doesn't work and you get caned by 300 runs, it looks terrible. If you play like that, you'll lose lots of games. There are times when you've got to knuckle down.

Good news! We're going to have some cricket!

It'll be a 42-over game, with the toss at 13:25 and play 20 minutes later.

Who's favourites for the series now?

I think England are still the better side. We'll see how Westley goes, and if Jennings can find some form. But Morris bowled really well for South Africa, Maharaj has bowled pretty well, and with Rabada coming back they've got a good attack.

Joe Root has been much more successful at number four, it's clear he wants to bat there. Rewinding to India, it looked like it would be Cook and Hameed, Jennings at three, then Root at four. But Hameed's had such a bad season, and Jennings is now playing second division Championship cricket.
