Raj run out (Sciver) 17 (Ind 43-2)

Yep. There was just never a single there. I'm not sure who called actually but it was a good throw from Nat Sciver at mid-wicket and Sarah Taylor whips off the bails.

In the end Raj doesn't dive, or even stretch. Maybe she knew she was never getting there but in the end it looks poor.

That is a huge wicket if they've got it. England are certain but Raj isn't going anywhere.

This is out. Raj has just run herself out. We're going to have a look upstairs but I don't think she is home.

  4. Ind 43-1published at 12 overs

As has been said many times this tournament Jenny Gunn has an awkward action but it is effective. She very rarely strays in line and is keeping things tight.

That's not an easy job when you have a big hitter like Punam Raut at the other end.

You've got to bowl so straight and set straight fields. As soon as you stray outside off stump, they hit you through the off side. It's such a quick outfield that any kind of width, they'll pounce on it. Spin is going to play the biggest part.

  6. Ind 41-1published at 11 overs

    Raut 22 Raj 16

Shot! That is a picture-perfect cover drive in anyone's book. Mithali Raj hits the second boundary of Sciver's latest over which goes for 10. Momentum back with the Indians. No need to panic though, England. India are still behind the required rate.

The last time these sides met at Lord's, England made 229. India won by five wickets with three balls to spare, with Raut making 60 and Raj 94 not out.

  8. Ind 35-1published at 10.2 overs

The run of dots is over in fine style. Raut again gets low and slog sweeps Sciver over the leg side for four. The bowler puts her head in her hands. I think her slower ball was picked there.

England were 43-0 after the 10-over powerplay.

  10. Ind 31-1published at 10 overs

    Target 229

And after the aggression shown by Raut to Shrubsole in the previous over, England make another change. Jenny Gunn comes into the attack and she too starts with a maiden. Pressure builds a little on the Indians. No run for 14 balls.

  11. Ind 31-1published at 9 overs

    Target 229

    Harsh Francis, harsh.

Katherine Brunt is going to be left to calm down a little in the field as Heather Knight brings Nat Sciver into the attack. Good tight bowling from the seamer who starts with a maiden with Sarah Taylor up to the stumps once again. The keeper is clapping from behind the stumps, as do the crowd.

I mentioned Katherine Brunt was a little 'frustrated', you can see what I mean in the video below.

  13. Ind 31-1published at 8 overs

    Target 229

Anya Shrubsole may have made the breakthrough but India and Punam Raut are going after her. A six in this over as well as this impressive four earlier on.

  14. 6 runs

    Ind 30-1published at 7.3 overs

Big! The Indians are the ones to be heard in the crowd again. Punam Raut gets low and smashes the ball for the first six of the match over long on. That was on one knee to a seamer. Nice.

Mitahli Raj has now passed 400 runs in the tournament.

  16. Ind 24-1published at 7 overs

    Target 229

"What are you doing?" Katherine Brunt says to herself as she gets full on leg stump. Mithali Raj doesn't miss out and guides the ball to the square leg rope for four. The fiery Brunt clearly wants to do well for her side but she doesn't emotions get the better of her

Much better from the Barnsley seamer. Five dots to restrict the scoring to just that one boundary. She is still not happy though, shaking her head as she collects her cap.

  17. Ind 20-1published at 6 overs

    Target 229

One clear advantage England have in this match is in the wicketkeeping department. Sarah Taylor is already up to the stumps to the pace bowling of Anya Shrubsole. That keeps the batters back in their crease, denying them the same freedom to come at the ball. "Well bowled Annie, mate," says Taylor. Shrubsole finishes her third over with four dots.

  18. Ind 19-1published at 5 overs

    Raut 10 Raj 7

Mithali Raj gets in on the boundary-hitting act. Just like Ebony said (see 14:40), the added pace of Brunt is allowing the batters to use the speed on the ball. Brunt gets too full and wide and Raj just guides the ball to wide third man for four.

Brunt is furious, growling and screwing her face up in frustration. This means a lot.

I wonder what the last thing said by England coach Mark Robinson to the players before they went out?

Perhaps, 'go get some early wickets'?

    Anya Shrubsole delivered...

It looks like the ball is coming on easier from the England bowlers - maybe there's a little more pace. It makes it easier to run it to third man.
