While you're having your lunch, remember we want your suggestions for cricket-themed pizza toppings.

We gave you Mahendra Singh Pepperdhoni earlier, and in a slightly more laboured attempt at humour, you can also have Dean Quattro Stajonesy.

Anyway, here's one from you....we want more.

  2. Raine ends Sussex partnershippublished at 12:55 British Summer Time 12 June 2017

    Leicestershire 340 & 175 v Sussex 284 & 181-4 (56 overs)

Sussex have lost another wicket at Grace Road, with Stiaan van Zyl bowled shouldering arms by Ben Raine for 24, but it may be too little, too late for Leicestershire.

Home skipper Mark Cosgrove had even given himself a couple of overs to try and force a breakthrough, but it was the reliable Raine who did the trick, with his third wicket of the innings.

The two Sussex Lukes, Wells and Wright, are now together, with the former on 68 not out and they only need another 51 for victory.

Fifty for Dentpublished at 12:52 British Summer Time 12 June 2017

    Gloucestershire 303 & 91-3 (37.3 overs) v Nottinghamshire 535-8d

Gloucestershire have nearly ticked off one of the three sessions required to escape with a draw in Bristol.

Chris Dent has reached his half-century off 115 balls, and the hosts will need him to chew up plenty more balls this afternoon. They trail by 141 runs.

    Yorkshire 202 & 283 v Somerset 224 & 190-6 (64 overs)

Adam Lyth is swept for two successive fours by Lewis Gregory, but claims a vital success for Yorkshire by removing Steven Davies. Craig Overton, no doubt buoyed by his inclusion in England's T20 squad, comes to the crease. Somerset need another 72 - which team's will is stronger?

Earlier, we brought you news of the exotic pizza toppings favoured by BBC Radio Gloucestershire's Bob Hunt last evening (see 12:03 entry), but it seems his appetite has not been satisfied.

"Elections come, elections go, but the Bristol custard slices are forever," he reports.

Watch out, Bob, you'll make yourself sick.

Mind you, it is custard (text commentator makes that drooling noise that Homer Simpson makes whenever he sees food......)

  6. Davies & Hameed start Lancs' chasepublished at 12:43 British Summer Time 12 June 2017

    Middlesex 180 & 236 v Lancashire 309 & 1-0 (1 over)

Alex Davies, fresh from taking a career-best 10 dismissals (nine catches and one stumping), opens the batting with Haseeb Hameed.

They take a single off Tim Murtagh's opening over and need a further 107 runs to win.

  7. Sussex on course for victorypublished at 12:39 British Summer Time 12 June 2017

    Leicestershire 340 & 175 v Sussex 284 & 174-3 (53 overs)

    Adrian Harms
    Sports reporter, BBC Sussex

After surviving a stern examination from Clint McKay and Ben Raine, Sussex are heading towards victory at Grace Road.

The in-form Luke Wells is leading the charge with another half-century and together with Stiaan Van Zyl has shared an unbroken 50 partnership.

  8. Steady start by Essex openerspublished at 12:35 British Summer Time 12 June 2017

    Surrey 399 & 288 v Essex 435 & 32-0 (10 overs)

Alastair Cook and Nick Browne encounter few major problems in the first nine over of Essex's run-chase, so Surrey skipper Gareth Batty introduces his own off-spin for the 10th. He concedes a boundary to former England skipper Cook, who moves on to 16 not out. The visitors need another 221.

    Middlesex 180 & 236 (71.3 overs) v Lancashire 309

Toby Roland-Jones attempts a big heave-ho off Stephen Parry but he misses and is hit in front of the stumps. That's also Parry's five-wicket haul, with the left-arm spinner claiming 5-45.

Lancashire will chase 108 runs to win and inflict Middlesex's first defeat in the County Championship in 22 games.

Roland-Jones goes bigpublished at 12:28 British Summer Time 12 June 2017

    Middlesex 180 & 235-9 (70.2 overs) v Lancashire 309

Toby Roland-Jones has long levers and he puts them to good use, smashing Saqib Mahmood over the boundary for six.

He's 30 not out but rejecting singles, with Ravi Patel at the other end.

  11. wicket

WICKET Murtagh (st Davies b Parry) 27published at 12:23 British Summer Time 12 June 2017

    Middlesex 180 & 229-9 (69.4 overs) v Lancashire 309

Tim Murtagh comes dancing down the pitch to Stephen Parry but misses the ball, allowing a very smart piece of wicket-keeping from Alex Davies to claim the ninth wicket.

The lead is 100, but with number 11 Ravi Patel coming in, is it time for Toby Roland-Jones to start slogging?

  12. wicket

WICKET Hose (c Handscomb b Carver) 68published at 12:21 British Summer Time 12 June 2017

    Yorkshire 202 & 283 v Somerset 224 & 167-5 (56.1 overs)

The game at Taunton is back in the balance as left-arm spinner Karl Carver ends the 118-run partnership between Adam Hose and Steven Davies by having Hose caught at short cover.

Lewis Gregory is the next man in, Davies is 51 not out, Somerset need 95 more, Yorkshire need five wickets. Who will prevail? Anyone's guess now.

  13. Middlesex lead by 100published at 12:21 British Summer Time 12 June 2017

    Middlesex 180 & 229-8 (69.1 overs) v Lancashire 309

Toby Roland-Jones (24 not out) is a very dangerous lower-order hitter. He's played second-fiddle to Tim Murtagh (27 not out) this morning, but he's just got going, striking back-to-back fours off Saqib Mahmood.

A boundary from Murtagh off Stephen Parry's very next ball to takes their lead to exactly 100. How many more runs do they need to make a game of it?

Wells frustrates Leicestershirepublished at 12:17 British Summer Time 12 June 2017

    Leicestershire 340 & 175 v Sussex 284 & 162-3 (47 overs)

    Luke WellsImage source, Rex Features

Luke Wells has been in handy form, to say the least, since returning to the Sussex team after a lengthy injury lay-off. A career-best 258 against Durham was followed by 155 against Worcestershire and he reaches a 124-ball half-century at Grace Road in style with a six off Colin Ackermann's off-spin.

It's looking very much like a Sussex win is on the way, with only 70 needed now.

  15. Handy runs for Middlesexpublished at 12:08 British Summer Time 12 June 2017

    Middlesex 180 & 210-8 (66 overs) v Lancashire 309

Toby Roland-Jones (14 not out) and Tim Murtagh (18 not out) are putting on some very useful runs for Middlesex in Southport.

Their partnership is worth 30 so far and Middlesex have a narrow lead of 81 runs. The away side really need them to keep going if they're going to stand a chance of avoiding defeat and preserving their 21-game unbeaten run in the County Championship.

Hose makes debut half-centurypublished at 12:06 British Summer Time 12 June 2017

    Yorkshire 202 & 283 v Somerset 224 & 153-4 (52 overs)

    Adam HoseImage source, Rex Features

Adam Hose marks his first Championship appearance with a maiden half-century, reached from 103 balls with a boundary off Matthew Waite. He has shown exemplary composure thus far, but can he keep it going?

Steven Davies follows him to 50 in the next over, his taking 109 deliveries as he puts Azeem Rafiq away to the boundary. That's the 100 partnership too. Somerset need 109 for victory.

BBC Radio Gloucestershire commentator Bob Hunt has set the bar high with an effort for the worst pizza ever created. Last night he ordered a pizza with - brace yourselves - onion bhaji, salami, asparagus and pineapple on it. Really.

We'd like to hear from you if you can think of any cricket-themed pizza toppings, like Mahendra Singh Pepperdhoni.

  18. Gloucestershire rebuildingpublished at 12:01 British Summer Time 12 June 2017

    Gloucestershire 303 & 55-3 (25 overs) v Nottinghamshire 535-8d

After losing two early wickets to Harry Gurney, Gloucestershire have calmed things down at Bristol.

Chris Dent (34 not out) and Graeme van Buuren (5 not out) have shut up shop in the last 11 overs, scoring just 20 runs. Plenty more work to do to avoid defeat, with a 177-run deficit.

  19. Hose holds firm for Somersetpublished at 12:00 British Summer Time 12 June 2017

    Yorkshire 202 & 283 v Somerset 224 & 141-4 (50 overs)

Adam Hose (47*) and Steven Davies (46*) are doing a really good job here for Somerset, when you take into account the former's relative lack of experience and the latter's poor recent form.

They have seen off Ryan Sidebottom and Steven Patterson and Yorkshire are now pinning their hopes on a combination of seamer Matthew Waite and Azeem Rafiq's off-spin. Slow left-armer Karl Carver waits in the wings. Somerset need 121.

  20. Lost ball at Grace Roadpublished at 11:50 British Summer Time 12 June 2017

    Leicestershire 340 & 175 v Sussex 284 & 119-3 (40.1 overs)

A scene reminiscent of any club or village game you care to remember: a lost ball.

Instead of the batting side being sent over with bats and sticks to hack through the undergrowth, it appears to be a selection of players and spectactors who have been given the task of getting underneath the covers at Grace Road.
