  1. Bess backs Somerset to break duckpublished at 10:43 British Summer Time 12 June 2017

    Yorkshire 202 & 283 v Somerset 224 & 101-4 (match resumes 11:00 BST)

It's been a difficult start to the Championship campaign for Somerset, but teenage spin bowler Dom Bess is confident they can complete their first victory on the final day against Yorkshire at Taunton.

Bess took 5-80 in Yorkshire's second innings, his fourth five-for in only five Championship appearances as Somerset were left a target of 262.

"They've got to bowl well. We've got confidence in that changing room. Everyone is backing each other, no matter what," the 19-year-old said.

Should Yorkshire win, they would move above current leaders Hampshire - but top spot will depend on the result of the Surrey v Essex game.

  2. Lancashire should copy Murtagh - McLarenpublished at 10:39 British Summer Time 12 June 2017

Lancashire are in a very strong position against Middlesex, looking to inflict the defending champions' first defeat since late 2015.

All-rounder Ryan McLaren thinks he knows the way to do it at Southport, follow Tim Murtagh's example, after he took 6-63.

"The pitch is still difficult to bat on. It's not offering as much movement as it did in the first innings but there's still enough there to keep any seamer in the game," he told BBC Radio Lancashire.

"I don't think it will take anything extraordinary. It's about being as disciplined and as accurate as possible. Tim Murtagh showed it - he was just bowling good channels and a good length, so we should try and adopt that approach from both ends. The first session will be crucial."

  4. Foxes still in the hunt - McKaypublished at 10:33 British Summer Time 12 June 2017

    Leicestershire 340 & 175 v Sussex 284 & 100-2 (match resumes 11:00 BST)

Leicestershire pace bowler Clint McKay insists they have a good chance of victory, even though Sussex only need 132 more runs with eight wickets standing in their Division Two contest at Grace Road.

The home side have yet to win a game this season and did not help their chances by being bowled out cheaply after leading by 56 on first innings.

"The game's definitely in the balance - a couple of early wickets tomorrow and I think it'll make for an interesting day," the Australian told BBC Radio Leicester.

"All in all I think it's quite a good pitch, it's about us hanging in there and making sure we hit the top of the stumps enough until one of those balls does something off the wicket."
