  1. wicket

WICKET Milne (c Read b Fletcher) 51published at 17:20 British Summer Time 29 June 2017

    Notts 371 v Kent 180 & 246-8

    Frustrated no longer.

Luke Fletcher gets his man, Adam Milne nicking behind to Chris Read. Notts need just one more wicket to dismiss Kent with Darren Stevens unable to bat.

Kent's lead stands at 55. A sixth win of the season beckons for the Division Two leaders.

  2. 50 runs

Fifty for Milnepublished at 17:18 British Summer Time 29 June 2017

    Notts 371 v Kent 180 & 246-7

    Very well batted, Adam Milne.

The New Zealand fast bowler moves to fifty with a two off Luke Fletcher. Although known for his 90mph rockets with the ball, he also has a first-class average of 33 with the bat.

He's hit eight fours and taken 87 balls to reach 51. Nottinghamshire are frustrated for the time-being.

  3. wicket

WICKET Bailey (run out) 8published at 17:10 British Summer Time 29 June 2017

    Hampshire 211-9 dec & 79-5 v Somerset 147

    George BaileyImage source, Rex Features

Some funky tactics from Hampshire skipper George Bailey perhaps? Deliberately triggering a collapse to urge Somerset into a risky chase under the floodlights?

Perhaps not. But one thing is for certain: Hampshire have run out a second player. Sean Ervine is the guilty party this time, pushing into the offside, calling, then sending Bailey back. Shambolic stuff.

  4. Cosgrove out for 75published at 17:10 British Summer Time 29 June 2017

    Division Two update

Leicestershire captain Mark Cosgrove slaps Ben Sanderson to mid-on - does that end his side's chances of pulling off a remarkable victory at Northants?

    They're now 190-3, needing another 204.

Nick Selman and Aneurin Donald have shared a fifty stand for Glamorgan to take them to 92-4 against Derbyshire. 120 more required for victory.

Will Tavare and George Hankins appear to have shut up shop for Gloucestershire - they're 43-3 at Sussex with a victory target of 341 looking very unlikely now.

  5. wicket

WICKET Vince (c Davies b Gregory) 20published at 17:07 British Summer Time 29 June 2017

    Hampshire 211-9 dec & 79-4 v Somerset 147

The start of a third collapse of the game?

James Vince tries a cut shot, but edges Lewis Gregory behind to Steven Davies to depart for 20. Hampshire lead by only 143 runs - if they continue the trend of the match and quickly lose wickets they could be in trouble.

  6. 6 runs

Bailey getting a move on?published at 17:05 British Summer Time 29 June 2017

    Hampshire 211-9 & 79-3 dec v Somerset 147

Hampshire skipper George Bailey is out in the middle and he appears to be trying to avoid a draw.

With just two runs to his name the Australian clubs Jack Leach into the stands for a six.

Hampshire's lead is 143 with 58 overs remaining.

  7. Harmer is backpublished at 17:02 British Summer Time 29 June 2017

    Essex 542-3 dec v Middlesex 246 & 125-3

Simon Harmer is back. He has all three wickets so far, with figures of 3-47.

How Essex would love another one now. The game is currently drifting away.

  8. Double change for Nottspublished at 16:57 British Summer Time 29 June 2017

    Notts 371 v Kent 180 & 227-7

On come the cavalry at Trent Bridge. James Pattinson and Luke Fletcher have the ball.

Can they break the 60-run partnership between Adam Milne and Adam Rouse?

  9. Nothing happening for Essexpublished at 16:54 British Summer Time 29 June 2017

    Essex 542-3 dec v Middlesex 246 & 123-3

    Paul WalterImage source, Rex Features

It's all gone quiet at Chelmsford. The ball is doing absolutely nothing and Paul Walter and Jamie Porter are not exactly troubling Nick Compton (64 not out) and Paul Stirling (24 not out).

The new ball is miles off. Time to get golden arm Simon Harmer back on?

  10. wicket

WICKET Rossouw (c Hildreth b Gregory) 22published at 16:51 British Summer Time 29 June 2017

    Hampshire 211-9 dec & 64-3 v Somerset 147

Rilee Rossouw falls again. The South African has been in awful form of late and he's dismissed by Lewis Gregory - caught at slip by James Hildreth after hitting a few boundaries.

Hampshire lead by 128 runs with seven wickets in hand. Could this be anything other than a draw?

  11. Exciting finishes in prospectpublished at 16:49 British Summer Time 29 June 2017

    Division Two update

Away from Trent Bridge, there are three more games with plenty to play for in the second division.

Leicestershire, led by skipper Mark Cosgrove, are flying in pursuit of 394 to beat Northants. They're 169-2, with Cosgrove on 74.

Glamorgan are 68-4, needing another 144 to beat Derbyshire and Gloucestershire are in trouble at Sussex at 34-3, chasing 341 to win.

  13. Hampshire to get a move on?published at 16:45 British Summer Time 29 June 2017

    Hampshire 211-9d & 50-2 v Somerset 147

Hampshire and Somerset are also coming out at the Ageas Bowl.

James Vince and Rilee Rossouw are going to need to get a move on if this game is going to end in anything other than a draw. Hampshire lead by 114 runs, but will want a sizable lead to guard against defeat before any declaration. Will they go for it or play safe?

  14. Ready to go at Chelmsfordpublished at 16:38 British Summer Time 29 June 2017

    Essex 542-3 dec v Middlesex 246 & 113-3

Simon Harmer bowlingImage source, Rex Features

The break has been and gone at Chelmsford and Essex are raring to go.

Nick Compton and Paul Stirling stand in their way of a win. Middlesex trail by 183. Essex need seven wickets. Can Simon Harmer conjure some more magic?

  15. Notts waiting for the new ballpublished at 16:35 British Summer Time 29 June 2017

    Notts 371 v Kent 180 & 218-7

Steven Mullaney and Harry Gurney have taken the new ball for Nottinghamshire.

If you're wondering why James Pattinson isn't bowling, it's because the new ball will be arriving fairly soon, and presumably he's being saved for that.

Kent's Adam Milne (31 not out) and Adam Rouse (18 not out) doing a good job of steadying things for now.

    They lead by 27.

Match abandoned at Edgbastonpublished at 16:32 British Summer Time 29 June 2017

    Warwickshire 321 v Lancashire 273 & 178-4

Game number three of this wet week is abandoned as a draw.

We couldn't have had a worse few days of weather for the day-night round of fixtures - crazy when you consider how wonderful it was last week.

Warwickshire get 10 points, Lancashire nine - not much help to either side at both ends of the table.

  17. Play resumes at Trent Bridgepublished at 16:30 British Summer Time 29 June 2017

    Notts 371 v Kent 180 & 214-7

    Thanks Gary.

Notts will certainly be hopeful of wrapping up a sixth win of the season fairly swiftly at Trent Bridge. Kent have Adam Milne and Adam Rouse at the crease, but only have Mitch Claydon to come, with Darren Stevens unable to bat.

  18. Postpublished at 16:28 British Summer Time 29 June 2017

With Nottinghamshire and Kent about to get under way at Trent Bridge, now seems like a good time to hand over to Felix Keith to take you through the second session.

    I'll be back after dinner.

  19. Drying begins at Edgbastonpublished at 16:26 British Summer Time 29 June 2017

    Warwickshire 321 v Lancashire 273 & 178-4 - start delayed, rain

Maybe they will get some play in at Edgbaston...

  20. 'Sakande the pick of the bowlers'published at 16:23 British Summer Time 29 June 2017

    Sussex 358-9 dec & 142-1 dec v Gloucestershire 150-1 dec & 30-3 (target 351)

    Adrian Harms
    Sports reporter, BBC Sussex

Needing 351 in 75 overs Gloucestershire have lost three wickets, with two for the pacey Jofra Archer and the other Abi Sakande, who has been the pick of the Sussex bowling so far in this match.

Earlier in the day Gloucestershire declared on their overnight 150-1 before Sussex rattled up 142-1 against part-time bowlers to set up the run chase.
