  1. Storm 143-3published at 17.3 overs

Katie George reappears as Charlotte Edwards shuffles her bowlers around. Taylor and Luff are so relaxed, flicking a single here and working one there. A wide takes Storm to within just three runs of the KSL title.

  2. Storm 140-3published at 17 overs

    Need 6 from 18 balls

Natasha Farrant is back on and, given the match situation, holds her nerve really well to send down a tidy over. Just two singles from it.

  3. Storm 138-3published at 16 overs

    Need 8 from 24 balls

Oh, that's such a good shot from Sophie Luff! A glorious chip down the ground and there's one bounce before the ball goes over the ropes and avoids Sophie Bates' arm. And Hayley Matthews does the same thing a few deliveries later! A gorgeous lofted drive, Matthews holding the pose for the cameras as she adds yet another boundary to the total.

  4. Storm 128-3published at 15 overs

    Need 18 from 30 balls

Suzie Bates is back on. It's all quiet for two deliveries and then Hayley Matthews absolutely launches her over cow corner for four. Not being able to run doesn't matter if you can hit them like that.

Barring an absolute collapse, this is the Western Storm's match.

  6. Storm 123-3published at 14 overs

    Need 23 from 36 balls

Hayley Matthews is back - pace off has worked on this pitch so far. But Western Storm are so far ahead now they can do this in singles. And indeed they do, right up until Luff moves down the pitch, takes a full delivery and hoicks it over the ropes.

  7. Priest out for 72published at 20:18 British Summer Time 1 September 2017

Rachel Priest, what an innings - 72 runs, a strike rate of 200, but it all came to an end after this superb catch on the boundary by Danni Wyatt.

  8. Storm 115-3published at 13 overs

    Taylor 11, Luff 15

Arran Brindle's into her last over now and Luff, who has read her better than most, gets on one knee and sweeps her down to the boundary. That's a fine shot - Luff turned that into a full toss to really get full value out of that shot.

  9. Storm 109-3published at 12 overs

    Need 37 from 48 balls

Up and over goes Sophie Luff to Katie George, and she wallops a delivery over mid-wicket to bring up the Storm's 100. And again! That one is a touch streakier, a leading edge that evades the diving keeper and into the ropes. Now it's Hayley Matthews' turn to get a boundary down at third man, with an edge that beats Charlotte Edwards' diving stop.

If Vipers are going to try to pull back the momentum in this game is has got to be now.

    They really need to pounce.

  11. Storm 96-3published at 11 overs

    Need 50 from 54 balls

Sophie Luff is the next player to the crease. She's got Arran Brindle to contend with, and there's just two singles from the over as Brindle takes the pace right off.

Priest is now the tournament's leading run-scorer - here's a few of her most damaging shots during her 36-ball 72. She struck ten boundaries and three sixes during her time at the crease.

    Priest c Wyatt b George 72 (Storm 94-3)

Rachel Priest gone! And what a catch to dismiss her! Priest hoicks the ball high into the air, looking for another six, and Danni Wyatt takes a brilliant catch down on the boundary! It's a low catch, Wyatt running around to her right and sliding to get both hands underneath it.

  14. Storm 94-2published at 9.4 overs

Here's left-armer Katie George, and her first ball is summarily cut away over backward point for four by Priest! This has been some innings. And again! It's a cut shot yet again and the ball just fizzes across the field and into the ropes. A fielder wouldn't have had a chance of getting to that. You can't give Priest any width to play with. Taylor is really struggling here and she calls for Wilson as she gets to the other end.

Out come the drinks and, presumably, a message for Stafanie Taylor. She's really hobbling about now.

And, in fact, Fran Wilson is poised to come back onto the playing field - looks like she'll be Taylor's runner.

  16. Storm 84-2published at 9 overs

    Need 62 from 66 balls

Taylor's off the mark with a boundary! She drives a full toss and it beats the diving fielder - and just as well for Taylor as she immediately pulled up as she started running down the wicket. There's a real grimace on her face as she grips at her right leg. She has a quick chat with Priest and sees out the over.

Stafanie Taylor, who looks to be moving okay, is at the crease. This could be fun with her and Priest if she gets her eye in...

That's a breakthrough for the Vipers that was desperately needed.

Arran Brindle is a very wily bowler.

  19. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 8.3 overs

    Wilson b Brindle 8 (Storm 80-2)

Gone! Yorker! Arran Brindle's lack of pace has done for Fran Wilson as the ball sneaks under the bat and clatters into the off stump. A lovely bit of bowling from the veteran seamer.

Storm are cruising to victory here.

The Vipers are scratching their heads and aren't sure how to respond to this onslaught.
