This game has galloped along since mid-way through the first session.
Out comes Australia captain Steve Smith to face down a fired-up England.
Key moment in the match, potentially a key moment in the series.
Just seen ball tracking of Khawaja's dismissal - out on all counts. Done all ends up.

Interesting that Khawaja didn't go and have a chat with David Warner. It must have felt pretty out. He just wandered off.
Khawaja lbw Moeen 11 (Aus 30-2)
A textbook modern off-spinner's dismissal does for Usman Khawaja,
Moeen Ali round the wicket, getting it to straighten just enough to beat the batsman's defences and rap the pads plum in front.
Aleem Dar's finger went up straight away and no review from the Aussies.
Khawaja looked vulnerable from the off, terrific pressure built by England's bowlers.

Meet Michael and Tori, just engaged in the Gabba pool. One of the rules of the pool area is you need to come in swimwear. "I've been walking around in budgie smugglers all day, just to get in here," he said. Proposing in the pool was the plan all along. "What better place?" said Michael.
Warner 13, Khawaja 11
Woakes drops short and Khawaja swings it away nicely, Moeen with a tidy bit of fielding to keep it to one.
Warner smacks a wide one away but England are wise to his scoring areas and have a man out on the cover boundary, limiting him to a single.
Chris Woakes to enter the fray. The Warwickshire man could do with a decent spell here after that woeful dismissal earlier on.

BBC Test Match Special commentator
Warner clearly knows the threat Moeen can pose here, and he wants to get on top of him.
Warner will try to unsettle Moeen, smartly crashing a full delivery through the covers for four.
Big reply from Moeen, drifting one with a bit of turn past the outside edge, Bairstow briefly appealing for caught behind. No nick but close.
Tense, utterly watchable Test cricket.
Again, this is Brisbane not Dhaka.
And yet, England off-spinner Moeen Ali is on in the ninth over of the innings.
Can he find the same turn that Nathan Lyon did?

BBC Test Match Special statistician
David Warner has scored 138 runs at 38.33 in six Sheffield Shield innings this season. He's scored one 50, when he made 83 in the first game of the season.
Good running sees Warner dash a single before Khawaja clips off his legs for two.
Glenn Maxwell in the meantime is unbeaten on 106 for Victoria in the Sheffield Shield...

He's lucky that didn't go through the gate. There was a big space opening for it to go through. I've got my hands on my head!
Warner breaks the pattern by scrambling two on the pull.
OH! A big inside edge into pad follows - Broad can't believe he didn't snare his man either bowled or lbw there.
Every over is following a pattern right now - Warner dabs away a single, removes his gloves and lets his less experienced partner bear the brunt.
It did for Bancroft and could soon do for Khawaja too - another thick outside edge streaks to the fence but that's advantage Anderson.
Khawaja leaves one just outside off, Anderson gives him a glare. Tasty.

That delivery really squared Khawaja up. There's a little bit of seam movement there. Broad angled it in and it just hit the pitch and left him.
Broad to Warner, who once again takes the single. Good strike rotation and all but Khawaja is looking nervy...
And that will shred his nerves further as he edges through the slips for four. He had no idea where that went.
Broad happy to probe outside off for the rest of the over and Khawaja leaves well alone.

Chris Moss: Get in there Stuart Broad. Early wickets so important to set the tone for the whole series.
Matt Roberts: Just shouted “YES!” quite loudly & now praying I haven’t woken my good lady wife who will give me holy hell if I have.
Saul Allison: Many thanks to my five months old daughter needing a bottle that got me to turn on for our early wicket.
Warner 3, Khawaja 0
Warner picks up another single, putting Khawaja into the sights of Anderson.
Ooh! Anderson finds some terrific lift from back of a length and it rifles past Khawaja's shoulder. Venom.
Another pearler as Anderson turns the Aussie number three round and just beats the outside edge. He did well not to nick that - a hint of movement off the seam.

They say that great teams are built on great opening partnerships. To get the first one out of the way, it gets you into their innings and into that rhythm as a bowler. It's horrible when you're out there for a long time and you're thinking "crikey, we haven't even got one yet."
