Chris Gaffaney has to flap his arms about. Not out! That's going over the top yet again. Even Anderson sees the funny side in that one. It did look high.

"Let's rock and roll that," says the third umpire. It's hit Tim Paine very high on the thigh...

This one looked less out than the previous one.

  4. Australia reviewpublished at 91.4 overs

Oh, has James Anderson got another one? Tim Paine is giving out lbw but, not surprisingly, he reviews it. He reckons it's hit him high...

This is the view of the TMS commentators. Yes, the incovenient positioning of that aerial has been mentioned.

  6. Aus 241-5published at 91 overs

The squeeze is on from England, now. Craig Overton goes full and straight, keeping Tim Paine quiet, before Paine hustles a single with a gentle push forward. Overton plugs away in the off stump channel, which Marsh summarily ignores, before he presses forward and gets a thick inside edge onto his pads.

Gurmeet Sahni: If Stuart Broad finds his rhythm he is superb to watch. However, this tendency to get up in the batsman's grille when he gets them out isn’t to my liking.

    Marsh 29, Paine 22

What a review that was. James Anderson, looking absolutely delighted at the turn of events, pushes a few teasing deliveries outside Shaun Marsh's off stump, before Marsh helps a straighter delivery away from his pads.

The ball is going over the top of the stumps! Not out!

Dearie me, that looked bang out at first. It's hit Marsh quite high up, maybe more on the knee roll than the umpire realised. Shaun Marsh survives.

It's hit Shaun Marsh on the edge of the front pad...

That looked pretty adjacent to me.

  12. Australia reviewpublished at 89.3 overs

Shaun Marsh is out! Trapped in front by James Anderson!

Marsh isn't having it, though. He's reviewed it...

Stuart Broad, who has figures of 1-12 this morning, is out of the attack. He's been replaced by James Anderson.

Shot! Tim Paine greets a full delivery with the full fact of the bat, driving the ball past Craig Overton - who ends up doing the splits as he tries to get a foot to it in his follow through - before it trickles down the pitch and into the ropes. Paine takes a step back and pads away a delivery that straightens as it moves in to him, and he ends up taking another rap on the thigh. Overton chunters to himself while Shaun Marsh heads up the pitch to offer Paine a bit of advice. A fine short ball comes Paine's way, directed right at the body, and Paine ducks.

England got 302 in the first innings in Brisbane and the ball did nothing. I would be delighted if they got to that total in these conditions. I am not being pesimisstic; I am being real. It will be very difficult for England.

  17. Aus 236-5published at 88 overs

    Paine 18, Marsh 29

Tim Paine reaches for a drive but the ball clatters into the underside of the bat and trickles away. Paine is one of those players that shouts "no" to a run while charging down the wicket, which I imagine is both confusing and irritating for his mate at the other end. He edges the next ball into his thigh and grimaces accordingly, before he sees a fielder lurking on the boundary and ignores Broad's short ball tempter. Broad follows it up with a fuller ball and Paine plonks it away before running through for a quick single.

I woke up to check the score and found players just coming out, and we got a wicket with the second ball! Will go back to sleep and wake back up in 30 mins. What are the chances we get another? If it works I'll keep doing it even though it's really irritating my wife. It's for a good cause and eventually she'll understand.

Steve Smith's conqueror, as he's more commonly known, gets a few deliveries to move in to Tim Paine's pad, but Paine defends before hustling one off his hip for a single. Overton comes steaming in to Marsh and he squares him up, the ball thudding into the splice of the bat and dropping just short of the advancing fielder. A more than respectable over from the Somerset man.
