It's a terrible shot. How many times? He's flattered once again and failed to deliver. He's handed it to Australia.

Vince c Paine b Cummins 25 (Eng 88-2)
Oh, James. You've read it all before, we've written it all before.
Having looked completely untroubled for 25 runs, with some gorgeous shots, Vince throws it away with a dreadful waft at a wide one, edging it through to Tim Paine behind.
The only way Australia have looked like getting wickets here is batsman error and that's a woeful error from Vince.
First ball after drinks and Cummins goes straight, with Vince tucking it away square for one.
Australia looking a bit flat at the moment with the ball doing nothing - Steve Smith is arguing the case for getting it changed but doesn't get his way.
Cummins resorts to a cross-seam delivery that rises a bit and finds Cook unfurling a loose cut shot. The ball beats the bat but that was a poor stroke from Cook.
He hooks next up, in control this time and guiding it fine leg for one.

Mason Crane played in the last first-class match on this ground - he appeared for New South Wales back in March.
Michael Vaughan
Ex-England captain on BBC Test Match Special
Starc's pace is 3 mph down on what he averaged in the first three Test matches.
A second drinks break of this elongated three-hour session.
England will be feeling much happier than they did at the first drinks break. No more wickets lost since then and Cook and Vince looking in fine touch.

You're asking for trouble if you bowl to Alastair Cook's cut shot. Lyon thought he was going to come down the wicket again so bowled it short and wide twice. You'd say, as a battle of wits, Cook won that.
Cook 36, Vince 24
Alastair Cook (of all people) comes down the pitch on the attack to Nathan Lyon, who looks utterly bemused to see the opener dance down at him.
No run off that one, but four runs off the next, Cook rocking to leg to scythe it away for four.
Lyon has lost his line after that Cook attack, drifting wide again and punished with another cut for four.

The fifty partnership came up from 102 balls, with five fours.
Cook 28, Vince 24
Shot! Vince stays on the front foot but stands tall and thwacks a pull shot away to the fence.
That's some way to bring up the 50 partnership.
Cummins responds with a bumper that Vince ducks under a tad unconvincingly. Not sure he kept his eyes on that all the way.
A good defence to finish.

Ex-Australia pace bowler on BBC Test Match Special
I think Vince has shown a lot in this Test series what he's capable of, but he just hasn't gone on.

Not the only one in Medellin, Chris. Enjoying the thunderstorm?

Vince guides Lyon away backward of square for a couple before easily playing out the rest of the over.

Cook 27, Vince 18
Cummins returns in place of Starc to find Cook clipping off his pads for a couple.
Cook plays a bit out in front of him, but soft hands means he can guide the ball through the for another couple, before tapping it into the covers for one.
Vince whips the last round the corner for a single.

Before today, James Vince had scored two thirds of his Test runs in boundaries. Our friends at CricViz tell us that he faces more dot balls than all in world cricket other than Mitchell Santner. His strike-rate is very normal, just below 50. Conclusion? Very talented, but would benefit from more rotation of the strike. It's often four or nothing.

Ex-Australia pace bowler on BBC Test Match Special
The pitch here can seam a little bit, but if the batsmen hold their shape, they're OK.
Lyon spins away at Vince, who is happy to rock either back and forward and just dab it all away. A maiden.
Joe Root's decision to bat first looking the right call at the moment.

Following in Medellín Colombia where I should imagine there’s not too many of us! Really should be doing something better...

Vince works Starc away into mid-wicket for an easy single.
Cook then tries to pull a wayward delivery but it's loose and Paine grimaces as he moves to his right to catch it behind.
