This is a better pitch, good pace and bounce. Melbourne was a little bit soft so the ball might have dented into the wicket.

Warner has looked a touch uncomfortable to the shortish ball angled across him but has marmalised anything full so far.
He does so again, clattering Wood back down the ground. Wood then sends one down not quite short enough to be a proper bouncer and Warner pulls it away for another boundary.

This England side have so much consistency and can trust their bowlers to deliver.
Woakes strays too full and Warner batters it back down the ground for four.
Just a single elsewhere off a solid over from Woakes.

All Things Cricket: In Boston, US. Pretty sure no one else in a 10 mile radius is listening to Test Match Special. Come on England, let’s have 2-0.
Warner 14, Finch 12
Wood gets one through onto Warner's pads - a brief appeal for lbw but that was pitching outside leg.
Warner then slices away through the in-field as Roy sets off in pursuit - the England opener does well to get there but his hand brushes the boundary marker as he flicks the ball back and it's signalled four.

It's a truer bounce than at Melbourne, so the Australians can trust their shot selection, which makes life a lot easier. I've loved the warm weather here. It was cold in Melbourne - cold for Australia anyway.
Woakes squares up Warner, the ball catching the leading edge but falling safe as the Aussie openers scamper another single.

Graham Andrews: Currently listening from work. Fingers crossed the boys can smash the Aussies around the park for another win...
Aaron Finch made a century in the first ODI and looks firmly in the mood again here as he smashes another pull shot in front of square to the fence. That rather sat up off the pitch.
Expensive over from Wood, conceding nine runs from it, but he gets up to 90mph with the final ball.

The surface has a tinge of green grass and it looks very hard so we expect plenty of aggression from Mark Wood and the rest of the England seam bowlers.
Chris Woakes to open up with Wood - ooh, that's a pearler, zipping past the outside edge of Warner's bat.
And again! Just back of a length, angling across with a bit of nip to draw Warner into wafting and missing. He finally gets bat to ball and scampers a single.
Shot! Finch thwacks a pull shot through mid-wicket for four.

Pitt The Blogger: Can’t sleep, have to be up in 90 minutes for work. Come on England - show me insomnia has a positive side and go 2-0 up in the series!
Wood dismissed Warner with just his fifth delivery at Melbourne, but the Aussie opener strikes the first blow here, pulling a short one over the top for four.
A nervy moment next as he defends into off and sets off for a sneaky single but is rightly sent back by Finch just in time.
A quick single then does follow.
The players are on the field at the Gabba.
It will be Mark Wood bowling to David Warner first up...
Debutant keeper Alex Carey is the second-highest scorer in the Big Bash T20 competition at the moment after hitting a century for Adelaide Strikers against Hobart Hurricanes on Wednesday.

Jhye Richardson is someone who can bowl 145km plus on his day and he's young and enthusiastic, but it is a lot to come in against a side that is very settled and know their roles.

It's generally a good pitch. Spin doesn't really come into it so you want the extra batting, but Australia might be able to get a few overs out of slower bowling from Smith and Finch.
So Australia stick with their pre-series plan of resting all of their three fast bowlers - Pat Cummins sitting this game out - but are forced to again leave out Josh Hazlewood due to illness.
Cameron White provides a leg-spin option, but the hosts have only three out-and-out bowlers in Mitchell Starc, Jhye Richardson and Andrew Tye.
