  1. dropped catch

Paine dropped on 8published at 41.4 overs

A sitter. If England don't win this then they only have themselves to blame. A third drop of the innings and it's the big wicket of Tim Paine, the only recognised batsman remaining.

It's a pretty simple chance, chipped in the air to Alex Hales at long on but he spills it running forward. Watching the replays, a sitter is pretty harsh on Hales but he will be very disappointed.

The official attendance is 53,781, and 15,000 of those have already left. I just don't understand that. It's a Sunday afternoon and the match is set up nicely.

People say Australia limped over the line in the last game, but credit for that has to go to Eoin Morgan. He's managed to keep the pressure on again too.

  4. Aus 210-8published at 41 overs

Need 50 runs from 54 balls

Tim Paine wants two to keep the strike but can't get it. Good fielding in the deep.

Zampa now on strike. Dot. Dot. One. Now one more to Paine. Just three from Curran's over. Excellent.

  5. Aus 207-8published at 40.1 overs

Tom Curran continues to look dangerous in this brilliant spell. He hits Tim Paine on the pad and goes up for a big lbw appeal. The umpire says no. Curran asks for a review. Morgan says no. Good decision I think.

I wonder if Tim Paine will try and take the game by the scruff of the neck now, and realise he needs to win it by himself.

  7. Aus 207-8published at 40 overs

    Need 53 from 60 balls

Adam Zampa joins Tim Paine in the middle. His average is just 6.22 and Josh Hazlewood is the only other man left.

Australia still need 53. This is England's for the taking.

That dismissal sums up his innings - he's played some curious shots. He's tried to work the ball into the leg side and he's spooned the ball to extra cover.

England have another! A very strange innings comes to an end from Andrew Tye. He tries to work Moeen to leg but gets a leading edge and just chips the simplest of catches to Eoin Morgan on extra cover.

  10. Aus 202-7published at 39 overs

Tom Curran is making things happen. There's a big appeal on the final ball for lbw but that was going down leg.

    Four from the over.

Andrew Tye is flashing hard, there's not much finesse to his style.

  12. dropped catch

Tye dropped on 6published at 38.4 overs

A big chance. Andrew Tye is swinging from the hip and he skies one high into the leg side. Jonny Bairstow comes sprinting in after hesitating a little and has to go for a full length dive but can't cling on.

He got two hands to the ball so you'd say he should have caught it. Tough but definitely catchable.

  13. Aus 198-7published at 38 overs

    Need 62 from 72 balls

Steve Smith had his hands on his head in the dressing room after that Mitchell Starc wicket. He's never one to hide his feelings but he looks worried.

Excellent from Moeen. The pressure is building. Tye nicks a single but then four dots follow to Tim Paine. One from the over. The required rate creeps up to 5.17.

  14. Aus 197-7published at 37 overs

    Paine 1, Tye 5

Six runs and two wickets from that Tom Curran over. Outstanding. You've got to love his passion too. His arms were pumping big time in celebration.

13 overs left. Australia need 63 runs. England need three wickets. Who are you backing?

  15. Aus 196-7published at 36.4 overs

What's Andrew Tye got in his locker then?

Plenty by the seems of things! He drives through mid on for four on his first ball.

Don't get ahead of yourselves just yet.

Brilliant bowling by Tom Curran - he's pitching the ball up and getting movement through the air. Mitchell Starc was just planted in his crease.

  17. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 36.3 overs

    Starc c Buttler b Curran 0 (Aus 192-7)

Take a bow, Tom Curran. You've swung this game right around, sir.

It's his second wicket in three balls in this first over of a new spell and is another brilliant delivery. It nipped away from left-handed Starc, took a healthy edge and Buttler takes a good low diving catch.

    England favourites?

Boos from the home fans as Eoin Morgan tinkers with his field. In comes a second slip.

  20. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 36.1 overs

Maxwell lbw Curran 34 (Aus 192-6)

Gone! It is indeed out. The ball would have hit the top of middle and leg. Glenn Maxwell had looked like the man who could win this for Australia but now he's on his way.

You can tell by the England celebrations that they know they're right in this.
