Well what a thrilling match that was. England 2-1 up heading into the fourth ODI at Dunedin on Tuesday.

A bit of an earlier start for that one at 22:00 GMT and as always we'll have live text commentary here on the BBC Sport website while TMS will have ball-by-ball coverage.

That just about wraps things up here. Goodbye

If you think you've seen some small cricket grounds in your time, get ready for Dunedin, which is a postage stamp. Titch [James Taylor], you're going to look like a normal-sized cricketer!

  4. 'Credit to England's spinners'published at 09:16 Greenwich Mean Time 3 March 2018

More from New Zealand captain Kane Williamson on Sky Sports: "Mitchell Santner batted beautifully while I kept changing the way I played as we lost wickets. Credit to England's spinners, when we did lose wickets we couldn't play as positively as we would have liked.

"Chris Woakes has a good yorker and did well at the end. If it is executed well it's difficult to hit. It was a game where we didn't fire. We were not at our smartest. That's all it is. It wasn't to be tonight."

  6. 'We couldn't hold it together'published at 09:05 Greenwich Mean Time 3 March 2018

New Zealand captain Kane Williamson on Sky Sports: "You have to give credit to England because they got in on that surface and they deserved to win. In our innings we were in a position of strength but stumbled a bit and it's shame not to get across the line.

"We choose to ball because we didn't know how the pitch would play. I thought out bowling unit did a good job and it was a competitive total. We started well but couldn't hold it together in the middle."

  7. 'A game of cat and mouse'published at 09:05 Greenwich Mean Time 3 March 2018

More from England captain Eoin Morgan on Sky Sports: "It was then a game of cat and mouse when New Zealand batted. The spin twins did their job for us but the partnership between Kane Williamson and Mitchell Santner put us on the back foot.

"The bowlers did a great job at the end, particularly Tom Curran who is a young guy and Chris Woakes who has been there before."

  8. 'Huge commitment to bat on that'published at 09:00 Greenwich Mean Time 3 March 2018

England captain Eoin Morgan on Sky Sports: "It was a brilliant game of cricket and hopefully entertaining for everyone. It took a huge amount of commitment and thinking to bat on that pitch.

"We felt in form going into the match but it took Ben Stokes and myself time to get going. It was hard to get started on that wicket. We might have got 250 but knew that with 220 or 230 we were in the game."

Bairdy: Who needs big scores for excitement in a cricket pitch?. Tough wicket, offering something for the bowlers and making the batsmen work hard. Top stuff.

Ian Clarke: What a match. Nerves of steel from Chris Woakes bowling that last over!

You can't just say with Mark Wood "he's quick, bowl him at the death". Spinners who bowl well at the death can be just as effective as seamers, but I didn't bowl well at the death - I would back myself nine times out of 10 in the middle overs.

Tom Curran was under pressure, having to bowl four overs from one end at the death, which is at least one too many. But he bowled four yorkers which pretty much won England the game. I don't mind him bowling at the back end of the innings.

Joe Robinson: Can’t help but feel if this match was reversed and Joe Root had played that Williamson innings for England, there would be bags of criticism that he played for himself or his hundred, and not for the team, by not accelerating sooner?

  13. Man of the matchpublished at 08:55 Greenwich Mean Time 3 March 2018

England all-rounder Moeen Ali, named man of the match, told Sky Sports: "It was very tight in the end but a fantastic finish by us. With the bat when I went in Jos Buttler and I tried to have a bit of a hack.

"We thought we were short with the total but it was a difficult wicket to bat on. My plan was to bowl tight and the wickets just game, we built pressure through dot balls. If you get wickets it is a good day but as long as I go under four or five I'm happy. it wa s af good day for us. It takes one good ove reach way at the end."

The discrepancy in bounce made this a below-standard one-day pitch. Ben Stokes milked it well, Martin Guptill just tried to play his shots and got out. The one reason I worried about the New Zealand batting line-up was Kane Williamson, and he deserved to be in a successful chase but his middle order let him down.

There was some brainless cricket from New Zealand, with some of the dismissals like De Grandhomme's. But the run-out of Santner turned the game.

(in a Darth Vader voice) All too easy.

Mitchell Santner nearly won that game for New Zealand - he's got the power, Kane Williamson's more of a nudger and nurdler. It was a poor delivery from Woakes which Williamson hit over mid-wicket - but England did so, so well to win that game, for posting that total. They were losing the game when the Kiwis were cruising, but the spinners bowled well and the seamers backed them up at the death.

Well played England, they were put in on a testing surface. New Zealand got off to a decent start, but those five wickets for 23 runs in the middle overs did it for them. I feel for Kane Williamson, what a knock - he played smart, intelligent cricket and batted beautifully. But a well-deserved victory.

What a finish! It's a dot. Chris Woakes goes to his stock delivery and sends a wide yorker and it dribbles through to wicketkeeper Jos Buttler. England's players celebrate.
