  1. Pak 96-7published at 34 overs

    Broad 13-4-34-3

Another swing and a miss from Mohammad Amir and Stuart Broad, hands on hips, offers him a few words of advice.

There's still a big gap between third slip and gully - I'm no expert, but I'd shove Jos Buttler a little closer in. Amir ends the over with another swing and a miss.

Adam: This Pakistan collapse is really showing up England’s batting order, expect some kind of response when we step out to bat.

Bowser: You cannot judge a pitch until England have collapsed on it.

  3. Pak 96-7published at 33 overs

Hard hands again from Mohammad Amir, and again the ball flies away for four!

It's a tempter from James Anderson, encouraging the drive, and Amir somehow gets enough bat on it to spear the ball in between third slip and gully. Jos Buttler, at gully, makes a desperate dive, but the ball skims past his fingertips.

Tim Hoskins: Thank you England bowlers - every time my eight-year-old son starts getting bored watching the cricket, you strike again. He'll expect this every Test match!

  7. Pak 88-7published at 32 overs

    Broad 12-4-34-3

Stuart Broad, face beet red, arms and legs pumping, comes storming in, and Shadab Khan tickles off his feet for one.

Mohammad Amir then decides that he's not one for standing around and blocking, and chucks his hands at the ball, a thick outside edge flying away for four.

Here's the first wicket that fell after lunch - Pakistan captain Sarfraz Ahmed, bowled by James Anderson.

  9. Pak 83-7published at 31 overs

    Anderson 10-5-17-2

Well, that's one way to respond to James Anderson - whacking him back over his head for four!

Mohammad Amir plonks a foot forward and frees his arms. Anderson offers a wry smile as the ball goes flying down to the boundary.

It won't be long for Pakistan now. The race is on for the five-for - Anderson needs all three, Broad needs two.

Gone! James Anderson finally bowling straight after lunch and he's bowled one and got another LBW.

A super bit of bowling, getting the ball to straighten. What a difference four days makes.

    Faheem lbw b Anderson 0 (Pak 79-7)

    Another one goes!

Oh, that's just out. There's a bit of movement there for James Anderson but it's just a straight ball and Faheem Ashraf, trapped on the crease, misses it. The umpire raises his finger almost instantly.

What a bowling performance this has been.

  14. Pak 79-6published at 20 overs

Stuart Broad's respond to that drop is a beauty that just beats the bat.

Oh! Joe Root's done Dawid Malan there!

New man Faheem Ashraf fends at the ball, hands pushing loosely forward, and a thick edge flies towards second slip.

Malan gets himself into a good position, gets his hands tantalisingly close to the ball - and then Root dives across him, distracts him, and Malan shells it. Stuart Broad looks utterly thrilled by that.

Some performance, this, from Stuart Broad: he's currently got figures of 10.2-3-29-3.

It does feel like he's one of those rolls.

It's perfect bowling, Pakistan are in all sorts of problems. The conditions are perfect for seam bowling. The likes of Amir and Abbas will want to see their team get to at least 150 - it gives them something to bowl at at least.

  18. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 29.2 overs

Salahuddin lbw Broad 4 (Pak 78-6)

Hitting the stumps, and another Pakistan wicket falls!

Stuart Broad didn't even bother turning to look at the umpire when the ball struck the batsman. He just went tearing off towards the slips in celebration. It just looked out, Usman Salahuddin playing across his pad, and the technology shows the ball was hitting the top of leg stump.
