That was an eventful first over...
Trail by 179
Azhar taps into the covers and scampers through for a tight single before a leg bye of Imam ul-Haq.
More leg byes and this time four of them as Anderson strays down leg onto Azhar's pads.
Pakistan making a dent in the deficit with 10 off the first over!

That first delivery swung a little bit, which is encouraging for England, but it was a little bit too full.

My word! That's got the Pakistan fans cheering.
What a shot to start!
Azhar Ali clatters a cover drive to the fence despite a bit of swing.
James Anderson not impressed.
Right, the players are out - here comes James Anderson...
And he even lost the ball, whacking this towering six deep into the stands.
He ended up on 80 not out, with James Anderson caught at first slip.
But Jos Buttler did a fine job for England, reaching his eighth Test fifty with a six...
Jos Buttler then lost Stuart Broad, taking on his nemesis the short ball with a hook shot, only to pick out Mohammad Abbas, who completed a fine catch...
Right, let's have a quick recap of the morning just before Pakistan come out to bat...
Sam Curran hit a lovely four but fell for 20, caught in the slips by Asad Shafiq, who wasn't sure he'd caught it cleanly.
It was sent upstairs with the soft signal of not out but overturned by third umpire Paul Reiffel.
Here it is to make your own mind up...
So Pakistan will start their second innings trailing by 189 runs, under cloudy skies and having to face James Anderson and Stuart Broad who will move the ball around.
Can they bat themselves back into contention?

You sense, with the ball seaming around in these conditions, England have that bit between their teeth - they win two more sessions, the series is 1-1.

I think England will be fairly pleased with their morning's work. It's a sizeable lead and we've got another 85 overs of play left today. I'm not entirely sure Pakistan are going to be able to survive all that.
Anderson c Haris b Hasan 5 (Eng 363 all out)
Well, it was fun while it lasted.
Hasan Ali gets it across James Anderson, who gives Haris Sohail catching practice at first slip.
So Jos Buttler ends up 80 not out, perhaps thinking he had a chance at a maiden Test century there.
But he's done a superb job for his side this morning, racing the lead up to 189 runs.

Sarfraz is not overly impressed with that. You don't need Jos Buttler on strike if the Burnley Lara is going to play perfectly-executed square drives.
They've found the ball that Jos Buttler hit into the construction site.
Not sure if they're using that or the replacement though.
Either way - they'll have to fetch it from the boundary after James Anderson slices it away off the face for four.

The ball's come back!

Talk about dumb cricket, why isn't Broad playing for Buttler? All he has to do is block and get Buttler on strike. How often does Broad's style of play come off? Another of example of poor thinking and tactics.

England have scored 57 runs in 10 overs.

You always feel with Buttler that he will make the right cricketing decision. You feel in his own mind, he will make exactly the decisions to play the game the right way.
