    And there indeed it is!

Jos Buttler brings up his eighth Test half-century with a six, hooking a short ball from Mohammad Abbas over the ropes.

He didn't get all of it but it still flew. Enough time to make a century?

That chance of the record for the highest Test total without a batsman making fifty could be about to fall.

Jos Buttler moves to 49 with an exquisite drive...

Amir is still on the field. He's down at mid-on, clutching his left shoulder.

    Buttler 45, Broad 1

That is the end of Mohammad Amir's spell, with the Pakistan quick struggling with a left shoulder injury.

Faheem Ashraf is into the attack, conceding just a single to Jos Buttler off the over.

Not everyone agrees with that decision...

The ball clearly hits the pitch and bounces into the hand, a shocker from the third umpire.

That's an excellent catch in the end by Shafiq, getting down low with his hands in exactly the right position to prevent the ball going to ground first.

He jarred his finger taking it and wasn't sure, even making the third umpire signal to ask it to be sent upstairs.

Stuart Broad is the new man in and gets off the mark with a single. Mohammad Abbas welcomes him to the crease with a bit of chirp.

Will Jos Buttler go into one-day mode with just Broad and James Anderson for company?

It's a brave decision from the third umpire, and the correct one.

Third umpire Paul Reiffel has several looks at it and concludes that the ball hit Asad Shafiq's fingers and rolled up into his palm.

That's a clean catch so Sam Curran departs for 20.

A good decision from Reiffel. You often see those given not out due to the foreshortening of the image on replays.

It's a difficult one for the third umpire. But the umpires out in the middle, who we often say have a better view than the one upstairs, said it wasn't out.

I'm giving that out - but I'm not sure the umpire necessarily will.

It didn't look quite right from this massive distance. The soft signal is not out.

    Has Sam Curran nicked off?

He edges Mohammad Abbas to Asad Shafiq at second slip, who dives low and tries to gather the ball cleanly.

Shafiq comes up with it but isn't sure. The umpires send it upstairs - soft signal is not out.

Amir had in him in trouble in that last over, but Buttler has already hit a sumptuous cover drive off the Pakistan left-armer this morning...

Plenty of zip and nibble out there perhaps convincing Amir to carry on bowling through this injury.

The left-armer sets up Buttler with a couple that swing in before beating the edge with an outswinger and a cutter. A very good maiden over by Amir.
