It's a fine half-century and a pretty incongruous one. He's made it look very easy compared to the rest of the Australians.

A leisurely single brings up a half-century for Glenn Maxwell!
That's Maxwell's first 50 in one-day cricket since January 2017. It's come from 52 balls, with three fours and two sixes.

I think The Oval may have more out-of-ground vantage points than any other international venue in England. At the Vauxhall End of the ground, the occupants of these flats peer through a gap in the stand.
Agar 12, Maxwell 49
Ooft. That's a good ball from Mark Wood, just nipping past the outside edge of Ashton Agar's bat as he goes for a big drive.
Wood follows it up with an awkward short ball that skims across Agar's helmet. Another tidy over for England.

Dave Amitri: Mo and Adil are too good to just be discounted from Test cricket in the absence of any genuine replacements. Horses for courses but they should be considered. Mo was player of last summer after all.
A sprightly single for Glenn Maxwell brings up the fifty partnership for this pair, from 64 deliveries.
A reminder that Maxwell hasn't been in great form in teh build up to this series. He was out for single figures in Australia's two warm-up matches.
A reminder of how dangerous Glenn Maxwell can be...
A few singles dabbed here and there are all Glenn Maxwell and Ashton Agar can manage.
Wood then bends his back and sends a short ball sizzling over Agar's head. Agar's a tall fella, and Wood seemed to find a bit of extra bounce there. Tidy stuff.
Double change for England. Here's Mark Wood, who currently has figures of 0-24.

It's a pleasant day, no need for a jumper. Suncream needed if you're exposed. Despite that, I'm pretty sure that Alex Hales, fielding on the boundary, has hand-warmers in his pockets.
Run rate 4.72
A very tidy over by Liam Plunkett, until he strays onto Glenn Maxwell's pads with his final delivery and gets worked away for a wristy four. Plunkett isn't impressed with himself.
Meanwhile in Dublin, New Zealand's Amelia Kerr has just set a new world record. She's smashed her way to an unbeaten 232 - the highest score by any player in a women's ODI. Just the 31 fours and two sixes in that mammoth score...
A change of bowling - Liam Plunkett is on for his first bowl of the innings.
There are precious few batsmen I enjoy watching more than Glenn Maxwell.
Joe Root serves up something full and wide, and Maxwell doesn't miss a beat. He stretches, and launches the ball into the stands.
Root readjusts, and Maxwell promptly drives the final ball of the over to ensure he keeps the strike.

You don't often see the spinner through their 10 overs by the 27th over.
Phil Tufnell
Ex-England spinner on BBC Test Match Special
That is a nice spell from Moeen. There were some soft wickets but he's done a wonderful job for his skipper.
Maxwell 33, Agar 6
Hello! Six!
That's glorious from Glenn Maxwell, darting down the pitch and launching Moeen over long-off and into the stands. A few people duck for cover.
That's Moeen's work done for the day. An expensive last over, but he finishes with the tidy figures of 10-1-43-3.
Four more!
This time, Moeen drops short, and Glenn Maxwell rocks back to furiously cut him away to the boundary.
Here's Moeen, into his last over...
Oh, and Glenn Maxwell has thumped him for four! It's a big ol' swing of the bat, and Maxwell just manages to get the ball over the head of teh man at mid off.

Australia only have 86 ODI wickets in their 11 today. There's more in the TMS team - Anderson, Agnew, Tufnell, Vaughan.
Glenn Maxwell has swapped his helmet for a cap, which makes him look much more casual.
He and Ashton Agar hustle a couple of singles from Joe Root's latest over. Root is sprinting back to his mark after each delivery, trying to hurry the batsman along.
