He picks up length very quickly, Sam Curran. When others sort of lunge forward he sits back and thinks he will cut you away.

Shot! Sam Curran picks up the length brilliantly as Ravichandran Ashwin drops short and the young all-rounder slashes it away to the fence for four.
He rocks back again and clips through mid-wicket for one to rotate the strike.
This pair have picked up singles brilliantly but not been afraid to attack when the ball has been there to hit.
Here is that majestic six from Moeen Ali off Ravichandran Ashwin...
Ian Bell's just hit another four though so he's ahead of England again.
I'll stop.
Careful, Mo. England's number seven swishes loosely at a wide one from Mohammed Shami.
Careful, Shami. The India bowler slings the next one miles down leg and Rishabh Pant has no chance, diving to his right. Four byes.
England have just edged in front of Ian Bell, who is 154 not out.

Ravichandran Ashwin has never bowled a no-ball. He has bowled more overs in Test cricket without bowling a no-ball than anyone else, going past Graeme Swann, who bowled 2,500 overs.
After all that, a maiden for Ashwin.

If you're giving those, matches would be over in two days.
It pitches in line but was umpire's call on impact, only just clipping leg stump.
A fair call by umpire Dharmasena and it stays with his not out decision.
This doesn't look to have turned at all and the angle is against Ashwin here.

Not out, it didn't turn and going down leg I'd say.
Ravichandran Ashwin goes round the wicket and gets the ball past Sam Curran's defences and onto the pads.
A huge appeal, one India fielder almost laughing in amazement that umpire Dharmasena hasn't given it.
Virat Kohli signals for the review.

When you move your feet it becomes an altogether easier game and Sam Curran has shown the way.
FAO Keaton Jennings.
Moeen 40, Curran 30
Woof. Mohammed Shami gets a bit of lift and nibble and just misses the outside edge of Sam Curran's bat.
Shami strays a tad wide and Curran cuts it to third man for a single.
The ball is 55 overs old but India are still getting it to talk. Picked an absolute peach out of the bunch today.

Moeen defends the next couple from Ashwin. An excellent knock so far by the recalled Worcestershire man.

Absolutely straight as you like. I love watching Moeen bat.
India have mid-off up and Moeen Ali takes on the challenge, launching Ravichandran Ashwin for six. Delicious strike.

Praying Mo and Curran build and build, otherwise I fear for my day four tickets.
Nervous Nick in Winchester
Moeen 34, Curran 28
Moeen Ali clips to square leg before calling Sam Curran through for a quick single after the 20-year-old taps just round the corner.
More good running from this pair as Moeen turns it to leg and scurries two. A positive start against Mohammed Shami after tea.
