    Eng 240-2published at 19 overs

    Sciver 27, Brunt 39

Sciver moves around in her crease and powers an inside-out four through extra cover - then an attempted back-of-the-hand slower ball by Klaas flies out of her hand and literally does not even hit the cut strip. The extra delivery is a full toss which Sciver whacks over mid-wicket for six.

Klaas keeps Lackay company in the record books - she's also gone for 59.

Here's how it ended for Beaumont:

  8. That's a recordpublished at 18 overs

    Eng 223-2

That's the record! Brunt blasts Lackay for a six - England have broken the world record score - then another six back over the bowler's head. A single off the last ball means Brunt has 37 from 12 balls.

    That over went 6-4-2-6-6-1. Carnage.

  9. dropped catch

    CLOSE!published at 17.3 overs

    Eng 211-2

Brunt powers another four, then launches one into the air over long-on, Brits gets a hand to it and parries it back from the boundary - and acrobatically stops the boundary.

  10. 6 runs

    Eng 205-2published at 17.1 overs

Fetch that one! Brunt launches a straight six into the new Somerset Pavilion, and England are past 200 for the first time in women's T20 internationals.

  11. Eng 199-2published at 17 overs

    Sciver 14, Brunt 12

Van Niekerk to complete her spell - Brunt finds the boundary for the first time, while the powerful Barnsley right-hander picks out Klaas again in the field as she over-runs a slog-sweep to deep square leg and the ball goes through her for four.

Van Niekerk (0-38 from four) is bowled out - and England are 17 shy of the world record, with three overs.

  13. dropped catch

Brunt dropped on onepublished at 16 overs

    Eng 188-2

The new batter is... Katherine Brunt, promoted up the order to number four to give it some long handle. And she has an early life when a cross-batted baseball blast over Lackay's head, from a full toss, is spilled at mid-off by Masabata Klaas.

  14. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 15.3 overs

    Beaumont c & b Lackay 116 (Eng 185-2)

And it all ends rather tamely for Tammy Beaumont, attempting another big hit - she's caught and bowled by the delighted Lackay, and a few South African fielders shake her hand before she leaves the field.

An immense innings, from just 52 balls - which equals Meg Lanning's record of 22 boundaries from a T20 international innings.

  15. Eng 185-1published at 15.2 overs

Marizanne Kapp is led from the field - looks like she may not be able to come back for a second spell? Beaukmont picks out substitute fielder Andrie Steyn with a well-placed four, and then boshes another six over mid-wicket when Lackay serves up a full toss.

  18. Eng 175-1published at 15 overs

    Beaumont 106, Sciver 12

Sciver's job is just to give Beaumont the strike, which she does - another paddle over the wicketkeeper's left shoulder brings her 17th four. Sciver joins in the fun, slashing a four over short third man and toe-ending another over the keeper! 16 from the over.

The target for England must be 216, the world record which was set by New Zealand earlier this afternoon.

  19. 100 runs

100 for Tammy Beaumontpublished at 14 overs

    Eng 159-1

A firmly swept four means Beaumont has her third successive international hundred (after those back-to-back ODI tons) from just 47 balls. It's the second quickest in women's T20 international history - only eclipsed by Deandra Dottin's incredible 38-ball knock for West Indies in 2010.

  20. 6 runs

    Eng 155-1published at 13.4 overs

Natalie Sciver joins Beaumont, a single gets the opener on strike and she comes down the track to marmalise one towards cow corner, almost hitting the Sky commentary caravan/box. She has 97 from 45 balls...
