The 147 stand ties for England's record T20 opening stand, with a 147 by Beaumont and Lauren Winfield against Pakistan at Bristol in 2018.

After hammering Van Niekerk her second six, Beaumont is close to holing out at long-on - Sune Luus leaps into the air and takes the catch one-handed, but realises she's going to fall over the boundary and has to throw the ball back in without completing the catch. A superhuman effort to save the six, in retrospect.

Once again, Lizelle Lee's wicketkeeping costs South Africa as she fumbles a chance to stump Wyatt on 55 when she goes down the track. When will the penny drop for the Proteas? England run a bye.

Klaas returns - and with long-on and long-off back, Tammy Beaumont shows her 360-degree batting skills by Dilscooping the medium-pacer over the keeper's head for four, and cracking another four through mid-wicket! The Kent opener does then try another scoop and scoops the ball into her helmet grille. Ouch.

I'm on my feet as we have the prospect, on successive days, of England's men breaking the ODI record score, and the women breaking the T20 record score!
(For those of you who weren't with us earlier, the women's record was only set a few hours ago by New Zealand!)

Oh, dear. Luus serves up a pie of a full toss which Beaumont hits back over her head for four. "Don't bowl full tosses to Tammy Beauont - that's my tip for the day", notes Isabelle Westbury on TMS.
The last ball of the over, to be fair to Luus, is not a full toss - but it's equally pie-esque and despatched for a straight six!
Dane van Niekerk, looking around for a bowler, throws the ball to fellow leg-spinner Sune Luus - who tends to bowl a bit higher and loopier than DVN, and might be able to buy a wicket, or is that clutching at straws?
Wyatt is able to hit with the spin, guiding a four through extra cover for her highest T20 score in England (though she does have two overseas centuries!).

After a single from Wyatt, Van Niekerk tosses one up and Beaumont dismissively whacks the leg-spinner over her head for four. A single to long-off earns a ripple of applause for the century stand. Wyatt has 40 from 23, Beaumont 60 from 31.

On a brighter note for any South African fans reading this... err... they haven't conceded any extras so far. But in total for the day, they are 316-1 after 30 overs.

Dane van Niekerk brings herself into the attack, in place of the expensive Klaas, but Beaumont works the leg-spinner for some scampered ones and twos. Van Niekerk is back to bowling round the wicket, as she did in the ODIs - thereby taking lbw out of the equation the moment that the ball pitches outside leg stump - and Wyatt whacks one pitched a couple of yards outside leg, for four through mid-wicket.
