How things standpublished at 10:36 British Summer Time 9 June 2018
In the last round of County Championship matches, there were wins for defending champions Essex, Lancashire and Surrey in Division One, while Somerset and Hampshire played out a draw.
An innings defeat by Lancashire at Trent Bridge was a setback for leaders Nottinghamshire, who failed to reach 150 in either innings.
At the foot of the table, One-Day Cup semi-finalists Worcestershire are 23 points adrift, having lost four of their five matches, but they are without a game this week, so there's nothing they can do about that situation until the next round of games, which start on 20 June.
In Division Two, it has been mostly good news so far for Warwickshire, who have a 15-point lead after three wins out of four, the most recent a six-wicket victory over Northants.
They will be hopeful of another at Edgbaston as they take on Glamorgan, who are ninth in the table after managing only one victory so far.
Rock bottom are Northants, who have failed to reproduce the form which carried them to third place last summer. They take on a Leicestershire side hoping to build on last month's thrilling three-run victory over Glamorgan, their first Championship win since September 2016.
