  1. Not easy for Bearspublished at 14:02 British Summer Time 12 June 2018

    Glamorgan 220 & 323 v Warwickshire 250 & 135-2 (47.1 overs)

Aside from the loss straight after lunch of Will Rhodes, Jonathan Trott is yet to settle at Edgbaston.

An edge through the slips and then a leading edge into the covers off spinner Andrew Salter are two signs to give further hope to the Glamorgan bowlers - particularly Salter on a turning pitch.

But his first boundary, off Salter, takes him into double figures.

Ian Bell looking well set on 41.

  2. Glos pair post fifty standpublished at 14:00 British Summer Time 12 June 2018

    Kent 582-9 dec v Gloucestershire 240 & 169-2 (61 overs)

Chris Dent helps himself to a boundary off Joe Denly as he and James Bracey raise a half-century partnership for Gloucestershire against Kent. Survival remains the name of the game, though for the home side, who are still 173 behind. Dent has 66 and Bracey is 21 not out.

  3. 6 runs

Renshaw goes aerialpublished at 13:56 British Summer Time 12 June 2018

    Somerset 392 & 59-1 (17 overs) v Nottinghamshire

The two Somerset batsmen are certainly looking confident and Matt Renshaw goes down on one knee to swing Matt Carter away over square leg for six.

He follows that with a single to advance to 23 not out and the home side need 189 more.

  4. Positive start by Bartlettpublished at 13:51 British Summer Time 12 June 2018

    Somerset 392 & 51-1 (15 overs) v Nottinghamshire 134 & 505

A show of intent by George Bartlett, who advances down the track and strikes Matt Carter over mid-wicket for four at the start of the afternoon session at Taunton. He moves on to 14. Partner Matt Renshaw has 15. Somerset pass 50 and they now need 197 to win.

    Glamorgan 220 & 323 v Warwickshire 250 & 119-2 (43.2 overs)

Second ball after lunch - and Warwickshire's task is made to look a little tougher as Will Rhodes is caught behind by spinner Andrew Salter, having failed to add to his lunchtime score.

Jonathan Trott is next man in, to join Ian Bell, who is on 36.

He put on 81 with Bell in the first innings - only to then depart for 57 in a run-out mix-up.

  7. Ten Doeschate hit with banpublished at 13:41 British Summer Time 12 June 2018
    Breaking

Essex captain Ryan ten Doeschate has been suspended for two games by the ECB after being found guilty of breaching the section of the players' disciplinary code which refers to "wilfully mistreating any part of the cricket ground, equipment or implements used in the match, and using language that in the circumstances, is obscene, offensive or insulting" during their win over Lancashire on Monday.

He will sit out the One-Day Cup quarter-final against Yorkshire on Thursday and should they win, the semi-final as well.

If they don't make it to the last four, he will instead miss the Championship match against Nottinghamshire, which starts on 20 June.

  8. Surrey keen to build on winpublished at 13:36 British Summer Time 12 June 2018

Having gone top of the County Championship on Monday with their three-day win over Hampshire, Surrey are looking to build on that over their next two games, prior to the Twenty 20 break.

Both are at out grounds, with a home game at Guildford against Somerset next week, followed by a trip to Scarborough to play Yorkshire.

At the Ageas Bowl, they boasted an all-international pace attack of Jade Dernbach, Sam Curran, Rikki Clarke and Morne Morkel. And such is their strength of depth in that department, they have the likes of Stuart Meaker and Matthew Dunn to call on, plus Tom Curran when he returns from England duty.

"The next two games come thick and fast," captain Rory Burns told BBC Radio London. "We don't want to flirt with form. We just want to push on and continue.

"You look at the names and the quality in that attack. The way they went about their stuff was brilliant, I couldn't ask for more. The way the four big lads ran in, backed by Amar Virdi was excellent."

    Breaking

    Durham 96 & 376 v Derbyshire 205 & 172 (58.3 overs)

All over at Chester-le-Street as Durham complete a remarkable turnaround to beat Derbyshire.

Chris Rushworth takes the final wicket to finish with 5-47 - and an eight-wicket match haul.

Bowled out for 96 with their weakened, patched-up side, containing four debutants, Durham were 109 behind on first innings. But league cricketer Gareth Harte's maiden first-class century set up only their second Championship win of the season.

They take 19 points. Derbyshire 4 points.

  11. Glos face 'funky fields' testpublished at 13:16 British Summer Time 12 June 2018

    Kent 582-9 dec v Gloucestershire 240 & 155-2 - lunch

    Bob Hunt
    BBC Radio Gloucestershire

It was always going to be a scrap for the home side to survive the day and they’ve made a decent start.

The opening pair of Chris Dent and Benny Howell got through the first hour before Howell was trapped lbw by Harry Podmore for 67. Gareth Roderick followed soon after to Ivan Thomas without scoring, but any nerves were calmed by the arrival of the promising James Bracey, who is 19 not out at lunch alongside his captain.

Joe Denly has used six bowlers and set some funky fields, but the pitch is flat and unyielding and a hard fought draw would be a decent result for Gloucestershire.

  12. Warwickshire take steps towards victorypublished at 13:12 British Summer Time 12 June 2018

    Glamorgan 220 & 323 v Warwickshire 250 & 119-1 - lunch

    Clive Eakin
    BBC Coventry & Warwickshire Sport

It's been Warwickshire's morning at Edgbaston and although they still have a long way to go they look favourites to secure a fourth win in a row.

The main hope for Glamorgan, trying to avoid a third defeat on the trot, appears to lie with spinner Andrew Salter who has caused some problems.

He's taken the one wicket to fall, that of Dominic Sibley for a painstaking 19. But Will Rhodes and Ian Bell are batting fluently and have got the Bears into a strong position.

  13. Not all over yetpublished at 13:11 British Summer Time 12 June 2018

    Durham 96 & 376 v Derbyshire 205 & 172-9 (57.5 overs)

Derbyshire's last-wicket pair Tony Palladino and Duanne Olivier have so far put on 28 - the second highest stand in the innings.

Mostly from Olivier, who has already slapped two boundaries in this extra half hour period before a delayed lunch.

    96 to win.

  14. Carter starts with maidenpublished at 13:05 British Summer Time 12 June 2018

    Somerset 392 & 46-1 v Nottinghamshire 134 & 505 - lunch

Off-spinner Matt Carter ends the session at Taunton with a maiden over to Matt Renshaw. Job done for Somerset so far, despite the loss of Eddie Byrom's wicket, but this match is very much in the balance.

It may be that Carter, who took 5-113 in the first innings, will be the biggest threat to the home side's chances of completing their third win of the summer.

  15. Lunch at Edgbastonpublished at 13:03 British Summer Time 12 June 2018

    Glamorgan 220 & 323 v Warwickshire 250 & 119-1 (43 overs)

    175 still needed at lunch.

Still quite a way to go for Warwickshire but they ought to feel positive about their hopes of a fourth Championship win in five matches this season.

Will Rhodes is on 61, while Ian Bell's hour at the crease today has brought him 36 - seven of them in boundaries.

  16. Bartlett boosts Somersetpublished at 13:00 British Summer Time 12 June 2018

    Somerset 392 & 46-1 (12 overs) v Nottinghamshire 134 & 505

    George BartlettImage source, Rex Features

Matt Milnes digs in a short ball but there's no pace in that and George Bartlett swivels to pull it down to long leg for an easy four. The next one is pitched further up but clipped away for another boundary. Bartlett has nine, Matt Renshaw is 15 not out and Somerset need another 202. One over to go before lunch.

  17. WICKET Gleadall b Rushworth 2published at 12:56 British Summer Time 12 June 2018

    Durham 96 & 376 v Derbyshire 205 & 140-9 (52.3 overs)

Only one stump left standing as Alfie Gleadall becomes Chris Rushworth's fourth victim.

Four wickets each now for Rushworth and Matt Salisbury. Which one will get the fifth to round off this unlikely victory?

for Chris Dentpublished at 12:52 British Summer Time 12 June 2018

    Kent 582-9 dec v Gloucestershire 240 & 140-2 (52 overs)

It certainly hasn't been his fastest half-century, taking 141 deliveries, but Gloucestershire skipper Chris Dent won't care about that. His job is to stay there as long as he can, and he's doing a good job of it at the moment. Joe Denly has bowled seven overs of leg-spin at a cost of 10 overs as kent look for a third breakthrough before the interval. Gloucestershire are 202 behind.

  20. WICKET Slater b Salisbury 68published at 12:44 British Summer Time 12 June 2018

    Durham 96 & 376 v Derbyshire 205 & 133-8 (49.1 overs)

An eighth wicket for Durham at the Riverside.

Debutant Matt Salisbury gets his fourth of the innings - and his seventh of the match - as he removes Derbyshire's only realistic hope, Ben Slater.

135 still needed by the visitors, only two wickets left and no Slater. Worse than that, if a ninth-wicket falls then lunch could be delayed by half an hour! or worse than that, maybe no lunch at all!
