Warwickshire have so far made a successful start in their bid to win back their top flight place at the first attempt, winning three of their first four matches.

They are currently looking on course for victory against Glamorgan at Edgbaston, needing a further 181 to win.

But one downside is some worrying injury news from BBC Coventry & Warwickshire commentator Clive Eakin about paceman Olly Stone.

The potential England candidate, who missed over a year with knee trouble after signing in 2016, is now out with a side strain.

Stone is expected to be missing for the next six weeks.

WICKET Byrom c Moores b Mullaney 22published at 12:43 British Summer Time 12 June 2018

    Somerset 392 & 29-1 (8.3 overs) v Nottinghamshire 134 & 505

Notts skipper Steven Mullaney removes Eddie Byrom for the second time in the match as the Zimbabwean left-hander edges to the keeper. George Bartlett comes out for Somerset with 15 minutes to go until lunch.

  3. Notts make first changepublished at 12:42 British Summer Time 12 June 2018

    Somerset 392 & 26-0 (8 overs) v Nottinghamshire 134 & 505

BBC Nottingham commentator Dave Bracegirdle mutters that Matt Renshaw should be "back in the hutch" as the Australian takes the strike in a new Matt Mlines over following his earlier lbw let-off.

Steven Mullaney is now on at the other end, with Eddie Byrom dabbing one down to third man for four in his opening over. Somerset need another 222 and Notts have Mark Footitt out there as 12th man as Chris Nash is off the field.

  5. Renshaw survives at Tauntonpublished at 12:27 British Summer Time 12 June 2018

    Somerset 392 & 17-0 (4 overs) v Nottinghamshire 134 & 505

That looks adjacent as Matt Milnes raps Matt Renshaw on the pads, but the umpire is unmoved. Renshaw slices away a boundary later in the over as Milnes strays well wide of off stump and Somerset now need another 231.

"These two are floating along and look quite unruffled," opines BBC commentator Isabelle Duncan.

  6. 50 runs

50 for Will Rhodespublished at 12:26 British Summer Time 12 June 2018

    Glamorgan 220 & 323 v Warwickshire 250 & 68-1 (27.1 overs)

Warwickshire opener Will Rhodes has now reached 50 in three successive County Championship games - all at Edgbaston.

The first time, against Derbyshire, he made exactly 100 not out in another Bears victory, against Northants.

If he reaches three figures again today, it will go a long way to completing a fourth win in five games for the Div Two leaders.

First innings centurion Ian Bell, after a slightly uneasy start, in which he almost gave a chance to spinner Andrew Salter at leg slip, has now motored on to 28, hitting six fours.

  7. Somerset start run chasepublished at 12:18 British Summer Time 12 June 2018

    Somerset 392 & 8-0 (2 overs) v Nottinghamshire 134 & 505

Eddie Byrom thumps a back-foot boundary, the first of Somerset's second innings, through the covers off Matt Milnes, who is sharing the new ball with Luke Fletcher. They need another 240 to win.

  8. wicket

WICKET Viljoen b Rimmingtonpublished at 12:14 British Summer Time 12 June 2018

    Durham 96 & 376 v Derbyshire 205 & 108-7 (41.3 overs)

South African Hardus Viljoen aims an extravagant Barry Richards-style drive through mid off.

But there the comparison with his fellow countryman ends as he loses his middle stump to an inswinging delivery from Nathan Rimmington.

That ends the Chris Rushworth/Matt Salisbury stranglehold on the wicket-taking in this innings.

    Kent 582-9 dec v Gloucestershire 240 & 115-2 (42.1 overs)

WICKET Howell lbw Podmore 67published at 12:07 British Summer Time 12 June 2018

    Kent 582-9 dec v Gloucestershire 240 & 115-1 (41 overs)

Kent have their first wicket of the day as Benny Howell is trapped in front by Harry Podmore - who appropriately has the number 1 on the back of his shirt - after a stand of 114 with Chris Dent. Gareth Roderick is the new batsman.

  11. wicket

WICKET Sibley c Smith b Salter 19published at 12:03 British Summer Time 12 June 2018

    Glamorgan 220 & 323 v Warwickshire 250 & 68-1 (27.1 overs)

Glamorgan strike for the first time to end a Warwickshire opening stand of 68 - comfortably the best of the season for Will Rhodes and Dom Sibley, whose previous highest partnership was 25.

Spinner Andrew Salter teases ibley into finding the hands of Ruaidhri Smith at mid-wicket.

226 still needed to earn the table-topping Bears a fourth in five game as Ian Bell joins Rhodes, who is on 46 - a big improvement on his first innings golden duck.

  12. wicket

WICKET Fletcher b Davey 21published at 11:58 British Summer Time 12 June 2018

    Somerset 392 v Nottinghamshire 134 & 505 (146.1 overs)

    Josh DaveyImage source, Getty Images

A new over by Josh Davey and that's end of the Notts second innings as he clips Luke Fletcher's off stump. It's been a fine effort by the Somerset seamer, who finishes with figures of 4-76.

So...Somerset need to score 248. If they do so, they will go to the top of the Division One table. If Notts bowl them out, they will reclaim top spot. This should be exciting.

  13. Century stand for Glos openerspublished at 11:52 British Summer Time 12 June 2018

    Kent 582-9 dec v Gloucestershire 240 & 110-0 (38 overs)

Harry Podmore relieves Darren Stevens for Kent and opens up with a maiden to Benny Howell, who has moved on to 63 not out. Chris Dent is on 45 at the other end and Gloucestershire need another 232 toavoid an innings defeat.

    Somerset 392 v Nottinghamshire 134 & 502-9 (142.4 overs)

Somerset now have seam at both ends and after almost 45 minutes of play they finally have their first wicket of the day as Josh Davey finds a thin edge and Steven Davies takes the catch - a third victim for the Scot. A good innings by Matt Carter, who put on 34 valuable runs with Luke Fletcher. Notts lead by 244.

  15. Durham close on 'incredible' winpublished at 11:42 British Summer Time 12 June 2018

    Durham 96 & 376 v Derbyshire 205 & 94-6 (34 overs)

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Newcastle

The first wicket of the day came in the sixth over when debutant Callum Brodrick edged Chris Rushworth to the keeper on 19 and, for the second time in the game, he should have had two in two balls when Daryn Smit edged his first ball straight through the legs of Michael Jones at third slip.

But Smit went in the next over, lbw to Matt Salisbury, the MCC Young Cricketers loanee who has now taken six wickets on his debut and looks lively.

For Durham to be in a position to win is incredible. They are down to the bare bones because of injuries and call-ups. Not only have they given debuts to four players in this match, they have also used seven substitute fielders from just about anywhere they could find them.

It's been quite an interesting one to commentate on!

  16. 50 runs

50 for Ben Slaterpublished at 11:38 British Summer Time 12 June 2018

    Durham 96 & 376 v Derbyshire 205 & 96-6 (34.3 overs)

Derbyshire hopes of chasing 266 to win now seem to depend on Ben Slater - and passing 50 for the 24th time in first-class cricket will do no harm. Another 172 needed.

  17. 50 up for Bearspublished at 11:37 British Summer Time 12 June 2018

    Glamorgan 220 & 323 v Warwickshire 250 & 55-0 (21 overs)

All going to plan for Warwickshire against Glamorgan at Edgbaston so far in pursuit of a victory target of 294.

Will Rhodes looking the more masterful with six fours in his 38, while Dom Sibley is on 14.

  18. Notts push on past 500published at 11:33 British Summer Time 12 June 2018

    Somerset 392 v Nottinghamshire 501-8 (140 overs)

Another Roelof van der Merwe over, another Matt Carter maximum, and the Notts total reaches 500. It's been quite some turnaround by a team who were bowled out in 37 overs in their first innings.

  19. WICKET Smit lbw Salisbury 1published at 11:28 British Summer Time 12 June 2018

    Durham 96 & 376 v Derbyshire 205 & 86-6 (31.4 overs)

Another scalp for Durham as Daryn Smit, dropped first ball, ends up going fifth ball. Another victim for debutant Matt Salisbury.

Three wickets each now again for Salisbury and Rushworth, who also claimed three apiece in the first innings.

Both of these sides chasing a second Championship win of the season.180 still needed by Derbyshire. But only four wickets to be taken by Durham. They are now obvious favourites.

And, if they pull it off, it would be the first time in their 27 summers of first-class cricket that they have won a game after being bowled out in their first innings for less than 100.

  20. Carter clears the ropepublished at 11:27 British Summer Time 12 June 2018

    Somerset 392 v Nottinghamshire 134 & 493-8 (138 overs)

Matt Carter shows fellow spinner Roelof van der Merwe scant respect by slogging him over mid-wicket for six. The Notts lead is now 235, Carter is 13 not out and Luke Fletcher has 19.

Somerset really need to find a way to finish this innings off quickly.
