    Sussex have reached 406-5 against Durham at Arundel. Luke Wright departed to a full toss from Cameron Steel, while Harry Finch was caught behind off Matt Salisbury to give the visitors a glimmer of hope after a tough day in the field.

    An unbeaten century from Colin Ackermann has helped Leicestershire to recover to 304-6 against Middlesex at Grace Road after losing their fifth wicket on 198.

    Warwickshire are struggling on 106-8 against Kent at Tunbridge Wells. The home side's 197 looks competitive at this stage. Jonathan Trott and Henry Brookes are battling hard in the middle.

    Glamorgan are 121-6 against Derbyshire at Swansea. It could've been far worse but for a stand of 58 between Chris Cooke and David Lloyd.

    Northamptonshire raced to 99-0 in the first 18 overs of their day-night match against Gloucestershire at Northampton, but the visitors have fought back well to keep them to 234-6 after 57 overs.

    Ollie Pope brings up his half-century off 60 balls with 10 fours.

    He's only played 12 first-class games, but his career batting average has just nudged past 60. Decent.

    Jonathan Trott (31 not out) is battling hard to keep Warwickshire in the game against Kent at Tunbridge Wells, where the visitors are reeling on 77-8 after dismissing the home side for 197.

    Colin Ackermann has reached his 16th first class century at Grace Road, where Leicestershire have reached 289-6 against Middlesex .

    Glamorgan have recovered slightly to 104-5 after being reduced to 52-5 by Derbyshire at Swansea. Chris Cooke and David Lloyd are the men in the middle.

    Northamptonshire have reached 220-6 against Gloucestershire in the day-night match at Northampton.

    Durham have checked the progress of Sussex at Arundel with two wickets for four runs thanks to Matt Salisbury and Cameron Steel to leave the home side on 364-5. Philip Salt and Tom Haines top-scored with 130 and 124 respectively.

    It really is a youthful scene at Guildford.

    Will Jacks, currently batting for Surrey with Ollie Pope, is only 19.

    Surrey have two teenagers in the side and a pair of 20-year-olds. Great to see.

    They also have Rikki Clarke, Morne Morkel and Jade Dernbach to come... that raises the average age slightly!

    Matt Taylor's 3-48 has kept Gloucestershire in the day-night match at Northampton, where Northants have reached 209-4.

    Sussex are dominating with the bat at Arundel and now have 356-4 against Durham. Harry Finch survived being bowled by Matt Salisbury on 24 when the ball didn't disturb the bails and he's now unbeaten on 54.

    Glamorgan are in big trouble against Derbyshire at Swansea, with just a lowly 71-5. Tony Palladino has three wickets and Glamorgan keeper Chris Cooke is 23 not out.

    Warwickshire have struggled at Tunbridge Wells, where Kent have reduced the visitors to 65-7. Harry Podmore is demolishing the lower middle order and tail, with three wickets in three overs so far.

    Leicestershire have batted watchfully at Grace Road after losing two wickets for just four runs shortly before tea and now have 262-6 against Middlesex. Colin Ackermann is 97 not out.

    Simon Harmer has really turned the screw for Essex.

    The South African spinner has only conceded 44 runs off his 20 and a bit overs.

    And he's picked up two key wickets.

    Meanwhile Ross Taylor is an unmovable rock at one end - the New Zealand international is on 130.
