The county champions continue to fight back after tea...

Spinner Simon Harmer grabs his second wicket of the evening session, trapping Riki Wessels lbw as he tries to clip him off the back foot.

Ross Taylor is on 125 as Tom Moores joins him at the crease.

  3. Derbyshire dominate at Swanseapublished at 17:01 British Summer Time 20 June 2018

    Glamorgan 53-5 v Derbyshire - Tea

    Nick Webb
    BBC Wales Sport

Tony Palladino has been the star man for Derbyshire, with the seamer claiming three wickets to put Glamorgan in all kinds of trouble at a gloomy St Helen’s.

There’s been one apiece for Duanne Olivier and Ravi Rampaul as well, with Glamorgan losing five wickets for 25 after Nick Selman and Jack Murphy started with a stand of 27.

Glamorgan chose to bat first, or more likely chose to avoid batting last on a pitch that doesn’t always last, and Billy Godleman must feel grateful to have lost the toss since he would also have batted.

The efforts to mop up damp conditions weren’t helped by the fact that sawdust isn’t allowed by Swansea council, on the grounds of an alleged carcinogenic risk. It was an announcement from the umpires that certainly baffled Godleman.

  4. 500 runs for Popepublished at 16:58 British Summer Time 20 June 2018

    Surrey 289-4 v Somerset

Ollie Pope is racing along at Guildford - he's moved to 35 off 31 balls, eight of which have been boundaries.

He is now past 500 runs for the season.

    Worcestershire 247 v Lancashire 9-0

It's been a watchful start by Lancashire openers Keaton Jennings and Alex Davies.

But having bowled out Worcestershire in little over two sessions, they're in absolutely no rush.

  6. Division Two round-uppublished at 16:52 British Summer Time 20 June 2018

Sussex are on course for maximum batting points at Arundel, where they have reached 321-3 against Durham. Harry Finch had a lucky escape after playing Matt Salisbury on to his stumps without dislodging the bails on 24 and he's now on 34 not out.

Leicestershire have reached 229-5 against Middlesex at Grace Road, where Colin Ackermann is closing in on a century, with 82 not out.

Warwickshire are struggling on 44-4 against Kent at Tunbridge Wells. Their first innings 197 may well turn out to be a par score. Matt Henry and Darren Stevens are the wicket takers with two apiece.

Glamorgan are reeling on 53-5 at tea against Derbyshire at Swansea, with no batsman able to reach 20 so far. Tony Palladino now has three wickets for only 13 runs. The game has moved on quickly after rain delayed the start until 15:20 BST.

In the day-night game at Northampton, Northants have reached 170-3 against Gloucestershire. Luke Procter is the top run scorer so far, on 69 not out.

  7. Postpublished at 16:47 British Summer Time 20 June 2018

    Surrey 278-4 v Somerset

24 runs for Ollie Pope, six boundaries.

The kid is in some touch - he's scored 494 County Championship runs at a shade under 83 this season.

    One to watch for sure.

  8. Resumption at Hampshirepublished at 16:44 British Summer Time 20 June 2018

    Hampshire v Yorkshire 94-3

They're back out at the Ageas Bowl in the day-night match.

Gary Ballance and Harry Brook both resume with a fifty in their sights.

  9. Postpublished at 16:40 British Summer Time 20 June 2018

    Surrey 268-4 v Somerset

Surrey have a pair of 20-year-olds at the wicket in Ryan Patel and Ollie Pope.

Talk about no fear... Pope has come in and struck four quick boundaries to move to 16 in no time.

Patel is approaching his second first-class fifty at Guildford.

    Worcestershire 247 v Lancashire 1-0

It looks like BBC commentator Isabelle Duncan had a decent tea at New Road.

I know our hardy commentators sit through snow, ice, gales and storms throughout the year, but they do get treated well by the counties when it comes to food!

    Worcestershire 247 v Lancashire 1-0

Lancashire are back out at New Road with Keaton Jennings and Alex Davies opening.

They have 31 overs left to face, light permitting, this evening.

  12. Division Two round-uppublished at 16:31 British Summer Time 20 June 2018

Sussex have reached 304-3 against Durham at Arundel, where promising young batsmen Philip Salt (130) and Tom Haines (124) both scored maiden first class centuries earlier today.

Luke Procter is on 54 not out (his 18th first class 50) as Northants have reached 139-3 against Gloucestershire in the day-night match at Northampton, having at one stage been 99-0 after 18 overs.

Warwickshire have slipped to 35-4 after dismissing Kent for 197 at Tunbridge Wells, with two wickets each for Matt Henry and Darren Stevens. Jonathan Trott and Tim Ambrose are the men in the middle.

Glamorgan have reached 44-3 against Derbyshire at Swansea, where the start was delayed until 15:20 BST because of rain. Nick Selman, Jack Murphy and Owen Morgan are the men out, with two wickets for Tony Palladino and one for Duanne Olivier.

Leicestershire are rebuilding after two quick wickets just before the tea interval at Grace Road and now have 209-5 against Middlesex. Colin Ackermann is 77 not out.

  13. wicket

WICKETpublished at 16:28 British Summer Time 20 June 2018

    De Bruyn c Hildreth b Bess 0 (Surrey 247-4 v Somerset)

    Wickets are tumbling!

Surrey's South African debutant Theunis de Bruyn only lasts three balls, caught by James Hildreth off young England spinner Dom Bess.

De Bruyn danced down the wicket and smacked the 20-year-old straight to cover.

    Somerset are back in this.

Big breakthrough for Someset after tea!

Scott Borthwick is bowled by seamer Tim Groenewald, 17 runs short of his century.

Maybe they will keep Surrey down to a manageable first-innings score?

  17. Middlesex fight back at Grace Roadpublished at 16:15 British Summer Time 20 June 2018

    Leicestershire 204-5 v Middlesex - Tea

    Kevin Hand
    BBC Radio London

Tim Murtagh grabbed two wickets late in the afternoon session to keep Leicestershire in check after Colin Ackerman and Neil Dexter steadied a shaky start.

The pitch lacked pace from the off and once the hardness left the ball the bowlers were bending their back with no return.

But in a typically tight spell, Murtagh's persistence found two edges to reignite the visitors' hopes of keeping the hosts to a below par score on a flat track.

  18. Division Two round-uppublished at 16:11 British Summer Time 20 June 2018

Philip Salt (126 not out) continues to impress for Sussex at Arundel, where the home side have 279-2 at tea against Durham. Tom Haines was also a century maker, caught by Paul Collingwood off the bowling of Cameron Steel for 124.

Leicestershire are 204-5 at tea against Middlesex at Grace Road, where Colin Ackermann will resume on 76 not out.

Warwickshire are struggling on 20-2 at Tunbridge Wells, after dismissing Kent for 197 runs in 54.1 overs. Keith Barker starred with the ball, taking five wickets for 32. Will Rhodes and Ian Bell are the men out, both to Matt Henry.

After a lengthy rain delay which delayed the start of play until 15:20 BST at Swansea, Glamorgan have reached 31-2 against Derbyshire with openers Nick Selman and Jack Murphy both dismissed.

Our day-night game in this division is between Northants and Gloucestershire at Northampton, where the home side go in to a late lunch on 131-3. It's been a good fightback from the visitors after conceeding 99 runs in the first 18 overs.

  19. wicket

WICKETpublished at 16:09 British Summer Time 20 June 2018

    Mitchell c Bailey b Clark 118 (Worcs 247 all out v Lancs)

Daryl Mitchell's resistance finally ends as he takes a huge swipe at Jordan Clark but can only sky it to Tom Bailey.

It was a super knock from the 34-year-old, but you still feel Worcestershire's total of 247 is a bit below par.

I guess we'll find out once Lancashire bat.

  20. 'Lunch' at Hampshirepublished at 16:07 British Summer Time 20 June 2018

    Hampshire v Yorkshire 94-3

Gary Ballance (39) and Harry Brook (34) go to the first interval in this day-night game at Hampshire having put on 73.

It's a fine recovery from Ballance and his teenage partner, Brook having come in at 21-3.

Still plenty of work for the Tykes to do in the second session though.
