  1. Hampshire 14-0published at 3 overs

This has been an impressive start from Harry Podmore, drawing a thick outside edge from Tom Alsop off the final delivery of his second set of six.

Just two runs come from that over and, it has to be said, it's all been rather sedate so far at sunny Lord's.

  2. 'Kent will play without fear'published at 11:10 British Summer Time 30 June 2018

    Fabian Cowdrey
Ex-Kent all-rounder on BBC Radio 5 live sports extra

It's been 10 years since Kent have been in a final and have been in this transitioning phase for the last three or four years. It been exciting seeing the young players coming through.

They will come out here and play without any fear, that is where they will be most dangerous.

  3. Hampshire 12-0published at 2 overs

Kent's star man, fast bowler Matt Henry, joins Harry Podmore in taking the new cherry.

He starts with a no ball, presenting Rilee Rossouw with a free hit and a chance to get off the mark, but a full swinging delivery leaves Rossouw on his backside and having to settle for a scampered leg bye.

A straight drive, not perfectly timed, from Tom Alsop provides him with a second boundary of the innings.

  5. Hampshire 5-0published at 1 over

Harry Podmore recovers well, following his first ball up with three dots and even drawing a false shot from Hampshire opener Tom Alsop.

But the 23-year-old then spoils that by straying a bit too straight from his penultimate delivery and Alsop gets off the mark with a boundary behind square on the leg side.

  8. 'Hampshire will be happy batting first'published at 10:59 British Summer Time 30 June 2018

    Dimitri Mascarenhas
Ex-Hampshire all-rounder on BBC Radio 5 live sports extra

The wickets are generally pretty good at Lord's, especially this time of year - very good for batting.

Hampshire will be pretty happy batting first. They'll want to get the runs on the board and put pressure on the opposition.

I think early on they might be circumspect and have a look and see if there is any movement, get themselves in and go from there.

As Adam says, the scene is an absolute picture at Lord's. The perfect day for a final.

The Kent players have made their way out onto the surface, which means the start is now just a few moments away.

  10. Lord's set to bask in the rayspublished at 10:56 British Summer Time 30 June 2018

    Adam Williams
    BBC Sport at Lord's

What an absolutely stunning day here in London for this One-Day Final.

If the MCC had ordered in the weather, they must have some pretty strong customer relations with those up above.

But despite the fact there's been barely a drop of moisture in the air in the past 10 days or so, the wicket for this final has a very noticeable green tinge to it.

Something in it for both batsmen and bowlers perhaps on this sweltering day?

Either way - should be a belter of a game.

Alex Hales was the star of last year's One-Day Cup final.

The England one-day batsman struck 187 not out - the highest individual limited-overs score at Lord's - in a four-wicket win for Notts Outlaws over Surrey.

Which player will be holding the trophy and the champers later today?

Hampshire have opted to play leg-spinner Mason Crane instead of left-arm seamer Reece Topley in this final.

Crane, who made his England Test debut in the winter against Australia, has had an injury-disrupted time since.

He was ruled out of the tour of New Zealand with a stress fracture of the back, which has since recurred during the past month.

The word from the Hampshire camp is that he has had a pain-killing injection to allow him to play today. There are also reports it will be last time he gets to feature for his county for the rest of the season.
