  1. 'Hampshire not making it easy for Kent'published at 12:06 British Summer Time 30 June 2018

These Hampshire batters certainly aren't making it easy for the Kent bowlers in this middle phase.

After the powerplay the batsmen are starting to find their feet.

  2. Hampshire 92-0published at 16 overs

Nearly! Joe Denly tempts Rilee Rossouw into an attempted slog, but he hits nothing but fresh air and the ball drifts agonisingly past the stumps.

Rossouw just can't quite get going.

  3. Hampshire 90-0published at 15 overs

More tight bowling from Darren Stevens sees a further five singles from his second set of six.

The foundation is most certainly there for Hampshire.

  4. Hampshire 85-0published at 14 overs

    Alsop 45, Rossouw 31

Sam Billings decides to hook Calum Haggett after a wayward couple of overs, instead turning to the spin of Joe Denly.

It's a tidy start, but Rilee Rossouw then tickles him down to third man for four and then a well-placed shot into the offside prompts a very well-run three.

  5. Hampshire 76-0published at 13 overs

Darren Stevens' first four deliveries, with wicketkeeper Sam Billings standing up to the stumps, all go for singles.

And then very nearly the breakthrough from his final ball, tempting Tom Alsop outside his off stump but not quite finding the edge.

And is there any stopping him?

At 42, the Kent all-rounder shows no signs of slowing down or being a nuisance to county batsmen across the land.

His 16 wickets have helped Kent to Lord's for the first time since 2008 - only Lancashire's Matt Parkinson (18) has taken more in this season's One-Day Cup.

Speaking of Harry Podmore, that's him done for now. The veteran Darren Stevens is on for a bowl...

  8. Hampshire 72-0published at 12 overs

There's no doubt Tom Alsop has been aggressor out of these two opening batsman, this time striding down the track and plundering Calum Haggett through square leg for four.

The shot sparks a three-man conference before Haggett runs in to deliver the final ball of his second over, which drifts down the leg side for a wide.

He's already gone for 26 - the same as Harry Podmore has done so from his six overs.

  9. Hampshire 64-0published at 11 overs

Harry Podmore continues with his opening spell, now into his sixth over.

He starts with a no ball - a bouncer banged in too short, according to the umpire - but concedes just three further singles after that.

  10. Hampshire 58-0published at 10 overs

    Alsop 35, Rossouw 18

That's not been a good start for Calum Haggett, whose opening over goes for 18 - by far the most expensive of this One-Day Cup final.

The final delivery is guided nicely down to third man for four by Rilee Rossouw.

  11. Hampshire 52-0published at 9.4 overs

Three boundaries from the first four balls for Tom Alsop suggests the answer to that question is yes - and even forces Calum Haggett to go around the wicket.

    The 50 partnership is up.

This Hampshire pair have seen off the Kent opening bowlers, with Calum Haggett coming into the attack.

Will he be the man they target?...

  13. Hampshire 40-0published at 9 overs

Harry Podmore has been excellent so far here, conceding just 20 from his first five overs - his latest set of six going for only three.

Tom Alsop has 22 from 30 and Rilee Rossouw 14 from 25. At what point do these two try to kick on a bit?

  14. 'Batters are finding flow'published at 11:33 British Summer Time 30 June 2018

    Ebony Rainford-Brent
Ex-England batter on BBC Radio 5 live sports extra

It's starting to come on nicely for the batters.

They haven't had that many full deliveries to really lean into, so it's had to be a little more waiting and punching into the gap - but they are now finding a bit of flow.

  15. Hampshire 37-0published at 8 overs

    Alsop 21, Rossouw 12

As you'd expect with all the recent fair weather, the outfield is absolutely lightning quick at Lord's and Tom Alsop makes the most of that with a leg drive struck on the up for four.

We've had just 14 scoring shots from the first 48 deliveries, which tells its own story.

  16. Hampshire 32-0published at 7 overs

An excellent piece of fielding from Alex Blake at extra cover prevents a certain four for Rilee Rossouw, who is then squared up by Harry Podmore's next delivery, drawing a big appeal from the Kent fielders.

Roussow needn't be overly concerned as the ball clearly pitched outside leg and responds with a well-run two down to fine leg.

  17. Hampshire 29-0published at 6 overs

Kent have performed impressively with the ball during the powerplay throughout this year's One-Day Cup, taking the most wickets of any team during that period.

They've not been able to split the opening pair so far today, but Harry Podmore and Matt Henry are both keeping things tight.

Just one more boundary in that sixth over sent down by Henry, flicked through midwicket by Rilee Rossouw.

  18. Hampshire 25-0published at 5 overs

    Alsop 15, Rossouw 6

That's a lovely shot from Rilee Rossouw, stroking Harry Podmore through the covers to find the rope for the first time in this One-Day Cup final.

It's been a solid if not spectacular start from Hampshire.

  19. Henry's last game for Kent?published at 11:16 British Summer Time 30 June 2018

Kent will be hoping that they have not seen the end of star fast bowler Matt Henry when he plays at Lord's today in what marks the final game of his current deal.

After 49 County Championship wickets in six games - and 16 in the One-Day Cup - the New Zealand Test player has impressively fulfilled his original contract and must now return down under to meet up with his national squad for strength and conditioning work.

After being almost bowled into the ground against Warwickshire at Tunbridge Wells, sending down 38 overs in the second innings in Kent's win over their Division Two title rivals, he was rested for this week's victory over Middlesex.

But negotiations are well under way to bring him back to Canterbury before the end of the season – and BBC Radio Kent reports that both player and club are both very keen for it to happen.

  20. Hampshire 18-0published at 4 overs

Matt Henry keeps up the pressure on Tom Alsop with two more dots, the second despite a firmly struck pull shot that perfectly picked out the fielder on the edge of the ring.

Alsop then rocks back and punches the next delivery for four - but it turns out to be the only scoring shot of the over.
