  1. Yorkshire innings beginspublished at 11:39 British Summer Time 30 August 2018

    Yorkshire v Somerset 399

Well, what a session! Five wickets for Jack Brooks. Great comeback after hamstring worries in the field last night.

Brilliant catch by Adam Lyth to end the Somerset innings and now he has a job to do with the bat.

He strides out to the middle with Harry Brook.

    Lewis Gregory to bowl.

  2. wicket

WICKET Bohannon run out (Barnard) 13published at 11:39 British Summer Time 30 August 2018

    Lancashire 129-7 v Worcestershire 222

Not very clever from Lancashire and Josh Bohannon. That's a second run-out of their innings.

He gets in a mix-up with Jordan Clark as they chase a third run that isn't there, and Ed Barnard throws to the stumps to see Bohannon run out.

He goes for 13, Lancs 129-7 - Tom Bailey joins Clark and Worcestershire still have a lead of 93 runs at Southport.

  3. Lancs edging closer to Worcs totalpublished at 11:36 British Summer Time 30 August 2018

    Lancashire 127-6 v Worcestershire 222

A Josh Bohannon boundary takes Lancashire to within 100 of Worcestershire's first-innings total of 222.

He and Jordan Clark have taken the hosts to 127-6 - 95 runs behind, on a Southport pitch which is proving difficult to bat on.

  4. 50 runs

50 partnership for Curran and Stonemanpublished at 11:30 British Summer Time 30 August 2018

    Surrey 277-6 v Nottinghamshire

Another 50 partnership for Surrey - the third one of the innings to involve Mark Stoneman.

You may remember the Division One leaders were 36-3 at one stage yesterday, but have eased their way to 277-6 and a pretty comfortable position against Notts.

  5. wicket

WICKET Leach c Lyth b Willey 9published at 11:29 British Summer Time 30 August 2018

    Yorkshire v Somerset 399

    The innings is over!

Somerset miss out on maximum batting points by one run!

    How costly will that be?

David Willey gets a bumper to brush the glove as Jack Leach tries to evade.

Adam Lyth dives to his right to take a brilliant catch at slip just inches off the ground.

Still a good score - but the visitors would've hoped for more.

    Yorkshire v Somerset 398-9

Jack Brooks is in his 29th over and surprises Josh Davey with a short one. Would've been an easy catch for short leg - but there isn't one.

Davey is squared up by the next one but dabs the ball down safely and gets a single down the ground with the fifth ball.

    Jack Leach defends.

  7. Essex held back by early wicket at Chelmsfordpublished at 11:24 British Summer Time 30 August 2018

    Essex 16-1 v Hampshire

After a bright start Essex have been becalmed after the early loss of Nick Browne.

  8. Burns a good bet for England?published at 11:24 British Summer Time 30 August 2018

    County Championship day two

Plenty of you on #bbccricket talking up Rory Burns as a potential England replacement for Keaton Jennings, who has gone for a duck against India on day one of the fourth Test.

Here's a reminder of Burns' numbers for Surrey with the bat in recent seasons...

David Willey keeps Jack Leach honest with a maiden over.

Jack Brooks bowls a very full ball which Davey tries to work on to the leg side but there's no run there.

He dabs into the off side and the batsmen sprint through for a tight single made tighter by a bit of hesitation from Leach.

Shot! Jack Leach gets a bit of room outside off stump and clatters Brooks for four through the covers.

    Lancashire 106-6 v Worcestershire 222

Lancashire's Toby Lester survived a short period last night in his role as nightwatchman, but he's gone for eight.

New ball at The Ovalpublished at 11:16 British Summer Time 30 August 2018

    Surrey 263-6 v Nottinghamshire

Notts have taken the second new ball and given it to Luke Fletcher.

Can this reignite their efforts? Leaders Surrey have Mark Stoneman on 105 and Tom Curran 13 not out.

  13. Hampshire struggle early onpublished at 11:16 British Summer Time 30 August 2018

    Essex 16-0 v Hampshire

Kyle Abbott is struggling a bit with his line here as he drifts down leg and gifts a couple more runs to Varun Chopra through square leg.

Big appeal for lbw off the next ball but the umpire says no.

    Just outside the line?

  14. Early wicket at Headingleypublished at 11:13 British Summer Time 30 August 2018

    Yorkshire v Somerset 385-9

Somerset are close to getting a full 5 batting points here but they'll have to get there with their last pair now.

Josh Davey leaves a big away-seamer from Jack Brooks and then goes forward to defend.

Brooks drops short and the ball runs away for four leg byes.

We've had 17 of them in this innings.

Davey picks up a four to end an expensive over.

    And there we have it!

Mark Stoneman has his first County Championship 100 of the summer - and a first ton since November.

He reaches three figures with a fine square cut for four. He's worked hard to rediscover his form and his Surrey teammates look delighted.
