  1. Wickets galore at Southportpublished at 12:21 British Summer Time 30 August 2018

    Lancashire 161 v Worcestershire 222 & 8-0 (lead by 69 runs)

    Ged Scott
BBC Sport at Trafalgar Road, Southport

After 15 wickets here at Trafalgar Road on the first day, another five have fallen here in little over an hour on day two - to enable Worcestershire to build a potentially priceless 61-run lead in this battle of the bottom two.

Half the game over inside four sessions. But, of those 20 wickets, three have been run outs - the last of them bordering on lunacy this morning when Lancashire youngster Josh Bohannon, on his former home ground, turned blind for a third and was sent back.

In reality, the clatter of wickets has been down to good fast bowling - and some ill chosen shots by too many of the batters. And you wouldn’t rule out a few more by the end of the day.

  2. dropped catch

Dropped catch off Adam Lyth on 5published at 12:17 British Summer Time 30 August 2018

    Yorkshire 19-1 v Somerset 399

Unlucky for Lewis Gregory, who gets an away swinger to take the outside edge of Adam Lyth's bat but he survives when Jack Leach spills the chance at gully.

Daryl Mitchell and Tom Fell opening for the Pears, with Tom Bailey bowling for Lancashire.

    Essex 49-1 v Hampshire

Huge appeal from Ian Holland as Tom Westley misses one that seams into the pads. Not out.

Holland switches to a straighter line and the batsman blocks.

The 6th ball is wider and slightly back of a length - Westley drives to mid off for four.

  11. Early wicket for Somerset at Headingleypublished at 11:56 British Summer Time 30 August 2018

    Yorkshire 9-1 v Somerset 399

Josh Davey is getting the ball to move into Adam Lyth but he's a bit too straight as the opener clips him away for 4.

Key partnership between him and Williamson.

  12. Sunny by the sea in North Walespublished at 11:56 British Summer Time 30 August 2018

    Glamorgan 203 v Warwickshire 155-3

    Clive Eakin
    BBC Coventry & Warwickshire Sport

It's nice day at Colwyn Bay where another decent crowd has gathered. Already they've enthusiastically applauded Ian Bell who's reached his half century with a trademark cover drive.

Warwickshire need to bat well today to take advantage of having bowled Glamorgan out for what looks a below par score on a slow pitch offering some variable bounce.

Glamorgan will be frustrated that Bell, dropped on 34 yesterday, has survived another sharp chance this morning.

  13. Early struggle for the batsmen at Chelmsofrdpublished at 11:53 British Summer Time 30 August 2018

    Essex 40-1 v Hampshire

Dawson is looking dangerous here - as he gets one to fizz past the outside edge of Westley's bat. The Essex number three survives.

It's no easier for Chopra at the other end, who is nealry cut in half by a big nip-backer from Ian Holland. He survives.

  14. wicket

WICKET Maharaj c Cox b Parnell 0published at 11:52 British Summer Time 30 August 2018

    Lancashire 143-9 v Worcestershire 222

Lancashire unravelling - Keshav Maharaj gone for a duck.

It's the same combination for Worcestershire - Wayne Parnell getting a nick off the South African with Ben Cox catching behind.

The Red Rose 79 runs behind with one wicket left - Graham Onions is in - this could be a decisive lead for the Pears...

  15. wicket

WICKET Bailey c Cox b Parnell 4published at 11:49 British Summer Time 30 August 2018

    Lancashire 143-8 v Worcestershire 222

Tom Bailey looks disappointed, but that had been coming.

He has a waft at a couple Wayne Parnell deliveries outside off stump, and then edges one behind for Worcestershire wicketkeeper Ben Cox to collect.

Lancashire 143-8, trailing by 79 runs, with debutant Keshav Maharaj joining Jordan Clark, who is just looking for someone to stay in with him.

  16. wicket

    Yorkshire 5-1 v Somerset 399

Perfect length, drawing Harry Brook forward and the ball beats the outside edge, hitting the top of off stump.

Time for Kane Willamson to have a bat.

  17. 300 up for Surreypublished at 11:46 British Summer Time 30 August 2018

    Surrey 300-6 v Nottinghamshire

A third batting point for Surrey, who look solid with Mark Stoneman (116*) and Tom Curran (39*) at the crease.

Worth mentioning 104 rovers will be bowled today, with a scheduled finish time of 18:30 BST at The Oval.

  18. Early trial by spinpublished at 11:45 British Summer Time 30 August 2018

    Essex 32-1 v Hampshire

Liam Dawson comes into the attack and Tom Westley edges the fifth ball just wide of first slip for a four.

    A hint of turn there?

  19. Yorkshire batting at Headingleypublished at 11:43 British Summer Time 30 August 2018

    Yorkshire 5-0 v Somerset 399

Lewis Gregory gets a bit of movement outside off stump but it's wide enough for Harry Brook to leave alone.

  20. Essex on the defensivepublished at 11:40 British Summer Time 30 August 2018

    Essex 28-1 v Hampshire

    Essex are digging in here.

Ian Holland, in just his third Championship match this summer, comes into the attack and Tom Westley is forward in defence.

He gets a single off the third ball and Chopra defends.
