  1. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:00 British Summer Time 10 September 2018

    Brooks c Maharaj b Gleeson 6 (Yorks 187-9 v Lancs)

It'a maximum bowling points for Lancashire as Jack Brooks holes out off Richard Gleeson pulling to long leg.

But Yorkshire lose their ninth wicket still 13 runs shy of a first batting point.

Brooks bizarrely made no attempt to leave his crease and cross with his partner, Tom Kohler-Cadmore, who is still three runs short of a ton.

it leaves last man Ben Coad with five balls to see out the rest of the Gleeson over, which, thankfully for the thoughtless Brooks, he does!

    Hampshire 30-3 v Somerset 106

James Adams and Sam Northeast are doing their utmost to steady things for Hampshire, with the Overton brothers brought into Somerset's bowling attack.

Craig Overton goes for eight off his first over as the scoreboard keeps ticking over in Southampton.

  3. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:55 British Summer Time 10 September 2018

Fell lbw Clarke 69 (Worcs 134-4)

Rikki Clarke already had one stunning catch to his name today. Now he has a wicket too, as he wins an LBW decision to remove Tom Fell.

Fell has only made three County Championship half-centuries this summer, but two of them have been against Surrey, having also made 88 at The Oval in May.

That was his best first-class score since September 2015, prior to undergoing cancer treatment.

    Notts 165-9 v Essex

Notts have added 61 runs for the last two wickets at Trent Bridge, going from 104-8 to 165-9.

Mark Footitt slogs off Simon Harmer a good 30 yards over the boundary for six.

It's not going to rescue the hosts' first innings but these could prove to be crucial runs later in the week.

  5. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:43 British Summer Time 10 September 2018

    Patterson b Gleeson 17 (Yorks 177-8)

After making 17 useful runs in a 33-run stand with Tom Kohler-Cadmore, Yorkshire skipper Steven Patterson goes for one big shot too many - and is clean bowled.

It's a first wicket for Lancashire from new seamer Richard Gleeson.

With the floodlights on, TKC remains on 93. But he only has Jack Brooks and Ben Coad for company now. And Lancashire will be very wary of Brooks after his career-best 109 not out in last season's Roses Match at Old Trafford.

  6. Division Two round-uppublished at 14:40 British Summer Time 10 September 2018

40 wickets have now gone down in Division Two - and we're barely halfway through Day One.

Leicestershire, Glamorgan (137 against Gloucestershire) and Middlesex (161 at home to Kent) have all been bowled out cheaply.

Northamptonshire are wobbling on 154-7 at home to Derbyshire.

And Durham are already struggling on 54-3 at home to Sussex, after their delayed start at Chester-le-Street due to bad light.

Only at Grace Road, Leicestershire, where Warwickshire have already raced to 74-0 off 15 overs in reply to the Foxes' meagre total, has batting been made to look easy.

Dom Sibley has teed off there with 56, having already hit 11 fours. Opening partner Will Rhodes has proved comparatively restrained on 15, but Sibley has rather hogged the strike.

  7. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:38 British Summer Time 10 September 2018

    Vince b Gregory 0 (Hampshire 12-3 v Somerset 106)

Two balls later it's another wicket for Lewis Gregory and it's a big scalp as James Vince walks.

It's a very poor shot from the England hopeful - he seems to get an inside edge while trying to drive towards mid-off and is bowled.

Loose from the Hampshire captain on just his second ball and they're now 12-3 with Sam Northeast next in.

  8. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:34 British Summer Time 10 September 2018

    Weatherley lbw Gregory 4 (Hampshire 12-2 v Somerset 106)

Wicket number 12 of the day falls at the Ageas Bowl and it's a plumb LBW on Joe Weatherley.

It looks a pretty straight ball from Lewis Gregory but a slight deviation is enough to see the end of the Hampshire man.

Weatherley's poor form continues and the hosts are 12-2 - 94 runs behind Somerset's first innings total with James Vince now in the middle.

    Notts 152-9 v Essex

Essex turn to spinner Simon Harmer as they look to put an end to the Notts innings.

Luke Fletcher (17) and Mark Footitt (9) are the last men standing for the hosts, who are 152-9 with a very outside chance of nicking a batting bonus point.

  10. Durham falling like fliespublished at 14:29 British Summer Time 10 September 2018

    Durham 50-3 v Sussex

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Newcastle

Having lost the morning session to bad light it was always going to be tough, but Durham have continued where they left off in their last home game - that two-day defeat by Northants. And it's now about who is up for the fight and who has the guts.

They look nervous. Too many players are heading into the middle with the look of condemned men.

Alex Lees, Will Smith and Graham Clark have all gone. All caught in the slips and with none of them moving their feet. Between them they managed eight runs!

The dark clouds continue to hover above Chester-le-Street and the light will remain an issue throughout the day. How much play we get remains to be seen but how many wickets fall is the major concern.

  11. Postpublished at 14:24 British Summer Time 10 September 2018

    Notts 150-9 v Essex

It's a huge six for Luke Fletcher over the leg side, taking Nottinghamshire to the 150-mark.

He's got 17 off 22 balls as he tries to smash the hosts to a more respectable total.

Essex won't be unduly concerned - Jamie Porter, Matthew Quinn and Matt Coles all have three wickets apiece.

  12. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:20 British Summer Time 10 September 2018

    Waite c Vilas b Onions 0 (Yorks 144-7 v Lancs)

Matthew Waite goes first ball, strangled down legside by Graham Onions, who now has his fourth wicket - and his second in three balls - after getting Tim Bresnan with the final delivery of the previous over.

It's a fourth catch by Dane Vilas - but it's the one that the Lancashire wicketkeeper didn't hold onto that may still come back to haunt the Red Rose.

Tom Kohler-Cadmore, who was on 44 at the time just before lunch, has now moved on to 84, in pursuit of what would be a second century in successive Championship innings.

  13. Hampshire should be warypublished at 14:18 British Summer Time 10 September 2018

    Hampshire 1-1 v Somerset 106

    Kevan James
    Sport Presenter, BBC Radio Solent

Forget the fact that 11 wickets have already fallen at the Ageas Bowl - this is no minefield.

The ball is seaming around and swinging in the air, which is normal in September.

When you have Kyle Abbott (5-31) nipping the ball around and Dale Steyn (3-37) swinging it in the air, batting is never going to be easy.

Josh Davey has joined the party, getting one to nip back to Ollie Soames and getting him LBW. Hampshire beware!

  14. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:15 British Summer Time 10 September 2018

    Bresnan c Vilas b Onions 0 (Yorks 142-6 v Lancs)

A second wicket after lunch for Graham Onions (and a third of the day for the former Durham and England veteran) as he has Tim Bresnan caught behind for a 10th-ball duck.

On the day after his 36th birthday, that's now 54 Championship wickets this season.

  15. Glamorgan all out for 137published at 14:14 British Summer Time 10 September 2018

    Glamorgan 137 v Gloucestershire 2-0

    Robert Hunt
    BBC Sport at Sophia Gardens

Another bad day for Glamorgan, but it could have been worse.

Having been put in, after 45 minutes' play they were 21-5, with Craig Miles picking up the top three wickets and David Payne two.

But Chris Cooke and Graham Wagg had other ideas and rattled up a quick 83-run partnership for the sixth wicket before Cooke was caught behind for 60.

The remaining wickets fell quickly, with Matt Taylor chipping in with two and Glamorgan were all out for a paltry 137.

  16. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:13 British Summer Time 10 September 2018

    Wood b Porter 27 (Notts 132-9 v Essex)

Luke Wood and Luke Fletcher's 27-run partnership is over as Jamie Porter bowls Wood for 27, his third wicket.

That's the second largest partnership of the Notts innings.

They're 132-9 as number 11 Mark Footitt comes in at Trent Bridge.

    Soames lbw Davey 0 (Hampshire 0-1 v Somerset 106)

Olivier Soames is out and it's his second duck in a row.

Josh Davey's delivery nipped back a fraction and it's enough to trap the Hampshire opener, who lasts just two balls.

That's wicket number 11 to fall and the hosts are 0-1 in reply to Somerset's 106, with James Adams in.

WICKETpublished at 14:04 British Summer Time 10 September 2018

Tattersall lbw Onions 33 (Yorkshire 138-5 v Lancashire)

At last, the stand is broken for Lancashire, as Graham Onions traps Jonny Tattersall leg before wicket.

But not before he has helped Tom Kohler-Cadmore put on 105 for the fifth wicket.

Tim Bresnan is the new man in.

  19. Hampshire start first inningspublished at 14:02 British Summer Time 10 September 2018

    Hampshire 0-0 v Somerset 106

Lewis Gregory opens the bowling for Somerset as Hampshire start their first innings in Southampton.

Somerset were dismissed for 106 - it's overcast and bowler-friendly but the hosts will hope to get a good lead going into the second innings.

Joe Weatherley and Oliver Soames opening for Hampshire.

    Yorkshire 137-4 v Lanashire

Yorkshire are starting to get on top at Headingley as Lancashire become frustrated after failing to add to their four early wickets.

That is down largely to Tom Kohler-Cadmore, who has now put on 100 with Jonny Tattersall for the fifth wicket.

Kohler-Cadmore, missed on 44, has now moved on to 71, with Tattersall on 32.
